Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the whole point of Netflix originals is to give people an incentive to sub to Netflix to watch a particular show or movie that they can’t watch anywhere else?

What is even the point of labeling something a “Netflix original” if it’s just going to get removed from the service regardless?

Yes, I am aware of the fact that Dreamworks owns the rights to Voltron, but it still doesn’t make any sense to remove the series from Netflix when it has been an “original” for eight years now.

If the Netflix exclusivity deal wasn’t a permanent thing, then they should have been upfront about that.

Anyway, keep buying physical media and keep pirating everything that never got released on DVD/Blu Ray.

I’ll be honest, I hate it (I don’t know anyone who likes it to be frank 😬). I was spared from it until a month ago so now I have it turned off.

If you wanna turn it off too, here’s a quick tutorial:

1 / go into your settings

2 / click on ‘General settings’

3 / click on ‘Dashboard preferences’

4 / scroll all the way down to the bottom and turn on ‘Snooze Tumblr Live.’ you’ll have to do this again every 7 days or so as there’s no permanent way to turn off Live just yet. :/

. . . really terrible UX here because they’re hiding this setting reeaaalll deep. But at least there’s a way to turn it off, even if we have to do it over and over again every 7 days 😭

Yuri on Ice movie officially dead, pouring one out for the homies. Shit's tragic. Don't even know what to say. I made my peace a long time ago believing it was doomed and an official cancelation was bound to come, but to fumble this hard is something that'll have to be studied.

Its legacy is cemented, but this is a real sour way to wrap it up. It was magical, and then it was gone. I would love to read about how this ended up in production hell. Hoping a journalist or two tries to sniff it out, but honestly I wouldn't be shocked if all parties involved are left with a bad taste in their mouth and are ready to let it rest.
