Evil Dead Rise Spoilers Without Context:
This was Vi’s exact reaction to Cait when she took her top off.
POV: Your Lex just trying to survive an ancient pyramid made for an alien species of warrior hunter’s rite of passage, when the last surviving member of the Predator’s hunting party she needs to convince to team up with her decides to make her a cool gift.
“The pain, I can assure you, will be exquisite. As for our deaths, there is nothing to fear. Our names will be written on a thousand walls. Our crimes told and retold by our faithful believers. We shall die together in front of their very eyes and give them something to be haunted by. Come with me and be immortal.”-Candyman
R.I.P. Tony Todd.
No fucking way, I actually made the list let’s fucking go!
I was literally thinking of making a joke post that would go something like “Hey do you guys think my four posts about Lily qualify me for the list?”, I say joke post cause I’m not so self obsessed as to think my posts were enough to put me on Lily or her fans radar. Guess I should’ve had a higher opinion of myself.
Now I can take joy in the fact that my posts have irritated a small group of annoying people, and quite possibly Lily herself assuming she does stalk the tags or has seen the list.
Me watching GTA fans complain about having to wait forever for GTA 6 as Bully Scholarship fan.
So my (safe) bet for Badlands is that the Elder Predator we see going after Dek in the trailer, is his father. The plot details we got the other day mention Dek is trying to prove himself to his father, so his father also being the Clan Elder has way too much drama and angst potential to be ignored.
Side Bar: My second bet is that Elle Fanning’s line “Your hunting something that can’t be killed” is setting up Dek to deliver “If it bleeds, I can kill it.”, double points for me if it’s the only line Dek says in the movie that’s in English.
R.I.P. Edward Kenway, you would’ve loved Divorced Dad Rock.
This post deserves all the love
Godzilla 2014 hot take!
I’ve put them all out there, I think, but…
The “hide the monster” thing and the cut-away from the Hawaii fight were not mistakes.
Cranston’s character dying was unfortunate only in that we got less Cranston but not really an error for the film’s storytelling.
The lackluster human character criticism is a much smaller issue than many think, and it’s because of the film’s themes and its larger project.
It’s a visually stunning film above all else.
Edwards is an underrated hero of the Godzilla franchise who did what seemed the impossible and delivered an artistically worthy Hollywood Godzilla film that was also true to the character–and financially successful enough to launch a series!
