how about 'if I kissed you, I don't think I'd be able to stop' from the prompt list with our favorite red batman?
pairing: diluc x gn!reader
the first snowfall of the season begins at night. it's rather unceremonious, despite the warm feeling of change it stirs within your heart. a single snowflake falls to the ground, followed by another and another, until the ground is covered in a thin layer of white powder. it arrives quieter than the rain does and will leave far more slowly, but you don't mind.
instead, you brush off the snow on the railing before you and lean your weight onto it, forearms resting against the cool marble. if you had known it would snow, you would have dressed for the occasion. instead, you wear autumnal clothing designed for breezy nights, with snowflakes collecting on the weavings of a sweater thick enough to keep out the dampness of the frozen water.
you let out a huff of air as a test, watching as it forms a faint cloud of vapor before swirling away into the night sky. at the sight combined with the chill that slowly seeps into your veins, you shiver.
"i thought i would find you out here," a familiar voice says, causing you to snap out of your thoughts. you blink owlishly, but don't bother to turn around to see who approaches. you don't need to see the familiar mop of red hair to know that it's none other than diluc ragnvindr. the party that carries on inside appeals to neither of you. you are only surprised that you were the first one to make it to the balcony.
"is that so?" you muse, glancing up at the night sky. the lights of the mondstadtian city, still vibrant this early into the evening, prevent you from being able to see the stars above. perhaps i can dream, however, you think, eyes focusing on the brightest star in the sky that still manages to shine through the veil of light pollution.
footsteps make their way over to you, echoing across the stone tile. diluc stops next to you, just close enough that your arms would brush if you chose to lean onto his shoulder. you don't opt for the romantics, instead choosing to look at him with a tilt of your head.
"do you not have business to attend to?" you ask. despite diluc's avoidance of pompous affairs such as this, he's often too savvy of a businessman to pass up the opportunity for another entrepreneurial venture that the wealthy elites within the halls of these parties provide.
"do you not have duties to perform within the event?" diluc asks in return, tone devoid of any real accusation. his gaze moves to look over his shoulder and back at the bustling party, but returns to you as you begin to speak, glancing at you with fondness.
"i-" you begin, but you unintentionally cut yourself off as you shiver once more. with an efficiency reserved only for mondstadt's most eligible bachelor, diluc immediately shrugs off his coat. your lips tremble due to the cold weather, but the way diluc's eyebrows furrow in concern at your chilled state has any protests dying on your lips.
for once, you let the redhead assist you, remaining quiet as he drapes his coat around your shoulders. he fusses with the collar a bit and you don't fail to notice the way his cheeks turn red. its something that cannot be attributed to the cold weather, yet you avert your gaze and smile softly, not wanting to ruin the intimate gesture.
"thank you." your words are spoken earnestly. his coat is warm, smelling faintly of fresh cedar, and you quietly wonder what exactly its made of to be this comfortable.
"no need to thank me," diluc reassures before clearing his throat.
"ditching the party just to provide me with your coat? that deserves some sort of reward, doesn't it?" you tease, knowing exactly which buttons to press after knowing diluc for so long.
diluc's eyes flutter closed for a brief moment as he lets out an exasperated sigh. it seems that even he has learned over the years as well. his eyes slowly open up and he glances over at you with a deadpan expression. he relents.
"i suppose, as long as it is not anything extravagant.”
diluc’s concession is immediately one he regrets as your expression turns mischievous. the few snowflakes that gather on your eyelashes fail to hold you back. instead, you lean in closer to him, nearly touching but not quite.
“hm,” you ponder. “what exactly could you want from me?”
you already know the answer.
diluc’s gaze flickers down to your lips.
you receive the confirmation you needed. swallowing your own nervousness, you muster up your sweetest smile for him and tilt your head slightly, gazing at him intently. diluc swallows at the intensity of your gaze, yet the smoldering embers of his eyes dare not to look away.
“a kiss, maybe?” you breathe and you watch as diluc’s breath clouds into the air. his lips part slightly and he clears his throat, before lifting the back of his palm up to his mouth and glancing away bashfully.
“if i kissed you,” diluc confesses in a low tone as he attempts to gather his composure. “i do not believe that i would be able to stop.”
“oh? should we test that theory, then?”
under the first snowfall of the year, you and diluc share your first kiss. the only audience is found in the snowflakes that gather in your hair. diluc cups the side of your face gently and his hand warms you more than the coat around your figure does and, greedily, you lean into the warmth, unsure if you’ll ever be able to get enough of it.

a/n: i've been so obsessed with royal!au lately so enjoy this! you're a herbalist in this who lives at the palace. (yes this is inspired from snow white with the red hair ehe)
DILUC: the eldest son of the king. he's a dreamboat no doubt; princesses from all over the kingdoms line up to be courted by him but alas, he rejects them all. his father warns him that he must marry soon to strengthen political alliances but little does the king know diluc's heart belongs to you, the royal court herbalist who has somehow managed to capture the young prince's heart.
KAEYA: the second brother to the throne. while he may be adopted and not true royal blood, the kingdom respects him the same. whether it be for his charming nature or the townsfolk fear of the royals, he rules alongside his brother with no protest. he often fakes injuries just to come see you at the clinic, claiming that he truly was hurt and might even have to stay overnight so you can monitor his health.
ALBEDO: the chief herbalist of the royal court. he's the one who appointed you to join the court in the first place. he truly saw lots of the natural potential you carried and admired your love for plants and medicine. he often asks you to accompany him to the greenhouse for assistance when really he just wants to spend more time with you.
THOMA: one of the princes personal advisor. he's always accompanying the princes and king with whatever it may be they need. although he may or may not sneak into your private quarters on evenings just to spend some time with you. he even brings you unique flowers he finds just to impress you.
KAZUHA: apart of the royal guard. he has been appointed to keeping the royal sons safe from any possible danger that may lurk in the dark. he often finds himself slacking off to watch a pretty herbalist walk through the gardens. he's always found you stunning, but isn't sure how to approach you just yet. so for now he'll just leave you small notes of anonymous poetry at your desk for you to ponder over.
CHILDE: the undercover spy from the neighboring kingdom. he was sent on a mission to gather as much intel as he could about the military and political affairs. he didn't meet you until he one day he was training too hard and ended up spraining his ankle. he was forced to spend time with you since you were attending to his injuries for the next several days. but he slowly found himself hopelessly falling for you. maybe he could take you away from this horrid place.
eYOOOOO IK I ALREADY SAID THIS BEFORE BUT CONGRATS ON THE MILESTONE !!!!!!! I'd love to make a request for childe but my brain is just in the mindset of "AS LONG AS ITS SFW AND TEN IS THE ONE WHO WRITES IT IM SOLD" which in itself is,,,, not very specific for a request. ANYWAYS GOODLUCK WITH YOUR REQUESTS <333 ROOTING FOR YA
again
pairings: childe × gn!reader
genre: slight angst/comfort
summary: though the two of you have separated, the universe has a funny way of bringing the both of you back together (or, in this case, the tsaritsa)
wc: 1.9k
warnings: swearing (only once i think)
a/n: now, ik you didn’t intentionally put this as a req but i took and ran with it anyway— i think you put too much faith in me 😭 but i hope you enjoy >:)

sometimes you hated the icy hell that was snezhnaya. the monotonous white of the landscape only served to bore your mind and the constant chills running up your body did nothing to help your already sour mood. at some point you had resorted to playing with your pyro vision, absentmindedly toying with a small flame in the palm of your hand, purely for some form of entertainment.
yes, you concluded. you absolutely did not want to be here. especially not with this imbecilic ginger.
“i can hear you grumbling, you know.”
speak of the devil…
“yeah, no shit. i’m right behind you.”
the man who you now refer to as childe, rather than ajax, heaves a particularly heavy sigh as the pair of you continue to trudge through your home country.
you’d curse celestia for your circumstances if it wasn’t for the the fact that you knew exactly whose doing this was.
your archon thought it a good idea to pair the two of you on a mission to retrieve a stolen artefact but there were several issues with this;
first of all, you had no idea why something as menial as fetching some toy concerned the attention of a harbinger. surely this could’ve been left to the lower ranks? but most importantly, you were even more baffled as to why she had to pair him with you of all people. while it’s true that you were an accomplished healer, that didn’t mean there weren’t any others with twice your experience.
you’d ponder these questions with more scrutiny but you’d be damned if you spent more time dwelling on your situation if it meant you had to stay with the ginger for even a split second longer.
archons, just looking at him and his stupidly long legs carrying him through the snow is giving you a headache… same with the way they seem to accentuate his annoyingly tall figure. and his rather broad shoulders that supported his head of soft hair. and the way that his jaw clenches beautifully in concentra—
hold on, beautifully? that doesn’t sound right.
“—n we can make a fire in the shelter over there.”
ah… you’re being spoken to.
“h-huh?”
childe stops in front of you suddenly, shooting you a look of confusion and you nearly bump into the body you were just fawning over. you had to shake your head quickly in order to get rid of the thoughts manifesting in your mind.
“have you listened to anything i’ve just said?” he questions, daring you to answer with those bottomless azure eyes.
you blink. focus, you simpleton!
“of course i have,” you reply dumbly.
much to your irksome, a gloved hand sits cockily at his left hip. “great! mind leading the way, then?”
a tease.
you’ve played this game with him many times before but you’re certain you don’t want him to find any amusement this time.
it’s no use, though. you unknowingly entertain him anyway.
your legs are quick to take you in a direction that wasn’t even close to what childe had suggested a few seconds ago. you were headed the exact opposite way, in fact.
a smirk slowly makes its way onto his face but you’ve already marched ahead of him, too far away to notice. childe huffs, full of mirth, before he decides to follow close behind you.
being forced into a situation with him like this… well, you couldn’t help but wonder where it all went wrong. you might have been the one to sever your relationship but as soon as the wave of anger resided you found yourself wishing you didn’t. celestia knows how much you’ve tried to distract yourself from the pain, and admittedly you were doing pretty well. that was until now, at least.
memories of arguments resurfaced as you willed yourself to remain unresponsive. if the both of you were less frustrated in the moment, would the two of you still be together? or were the reasons of your breakup too glaring to dismiss?
after all, staying up for nights on end wondering whether or not your partner was even alive wasn’t exactly ideal for your mental health. neither was having to lecture him after dressing many of the unsightly wounds he’d regularly come home with. you could only cope with the stress for so long.
but you couldn’t help but miss him.
the pair of you had wandered for another half hour or so when the situation seemed to take a turn for the worse, the telltale signs of a snowstorm beginning to fester in the skies above. this wasn’t good. you’d both be dead if you were caught in a snowstorm, pyro vision or not.
willing the flame to grow larger in your hand, you looked around for anything that could be used to protect yourselves from the oncoming storm when childe suddenly gathers you into his arms without warning.
“h-hey! what do you think you’re doing?!” you yelp in shock as you flail about in his arms.
“saving our lives,” he quips not even a second after.
shaky arms are quick to instinctively wrap themselves around childe’s neck in order to prevent yourself from falling. he subconsciously responds by holding you closer to him, both as if to prevent you from slipping and to shield you from the bitter cold.
you’re too caught up in panic to notice the quickening beat of his heart.
soon enough, childe manages to find a small crack within a nearby cliff and he swiftly manoeuvres inside with you still in his hold. he shuffles so that his back is pressed to the back of the cave, trying his hardest to keep the both of you as far from the entrance as possible. he slides down into a sitting position and moves you so that you were sitting sideways in his lap- your head resting on his shoulder.
you sit in silence for the next few moments with only the howling of the wind to keep yourselves company. being outside in the frigid cold for so long had sapped your energy and you were about to fall asleep there and then when you felt your companion start to tremble. it was normal to shiver in these conditions but the way his body started to violently shake had alerted you from near slumber.
untucking your head from his neck you looked up at him with furrowed brows, “childe?”
“ ‘s fine,” he grits out through chattering teeth. “don’t worry about it.”
your frown grows. it’s easy to see how the moisture in his eyelashes have caused them to clump together due to the sheer temperature, and it’s even easier to feel how intense his shivers are.
this won’t do.
quickly shrugging off your scarf you begin to wrap it around his neck when his hand catches your wrist.
“i said it’s fine,” he protests, increasing the pressure of his grip.
but you stand firm, “i’m not playing around, you fool.”
“and neither am i, so keep your sca—”
…why was he always so stubborn?
you don’t give him time to finish his rebuke as you quickly wrap the article of clothing around his neck. too worried to care about your proximity, your face inches closer to his to ensure that none of the skin of his neck could meet with the bitter cold.
his breath hitches, caught in his throat, but you don’t acknowledge it.
“i won’t have you dying cause of hypothermia, you brat. just listen to me for once. please,” you whisper the last bit out shakily.
you hate how your voice wavers.
thankfully he relents under your insistence and instead settles back into the wall, tentatively rewrapping his arms around your shoulders.
you can’t bear to look at his face for prolonged periods of time and so you bury your own back into his neck, cushioned by the soft scarf you had just successfully swaddled him in.
there’s nothing for you to make a consistent fire out of and so you resort to heightening your body temperature in the hopes of keeping the both of you warm. you hate this. you should hate this, but you find that you can’t help but nuzzle into him no matter what you beg yourself to do.
but it’s not like he’s pushing you away, either.
silence passes between you once more but the air is much thicker than last time. it’s suffocating; threatening to consume you whole. maybe you’ve crossed the line this time, overstepped your unspoken boundaries.
“you’re doing it again.” childe comments, breaking the tension.
with hesitance clearly on your visage, you look up towards his face.
“stop chewing on your cheeks. you’re gonna hurt yourself.”
a gloved hand reaches out for your face, but he retracts it before you could notice his mistake. a habit, it seemed.
you scoff in disbelief, but the disdain you intended to put behind it lacks any real punch. you reply with a quiver in your voice.
“really…? you’re unbelievable. don’t you dare lecture me about hurting myself. it’s hypocritical, childe.” it didn’t take a genius to pick up on your solemn tone.
childe.
for a split second you think you see a hint of regret spread across the young man’s face but it’s gone the second you look at him again.
he looks at the ground past you, and whispers,“what happened to ajax…?”
“pardon?” you reply, perplexed by his question.
a sigh of defeat leaves his thin lips. childe then pulls you closer to him but with the way his eyes seem so distant you can tell it wasn’t done on a conscious basis.
“i said, what happened to ajax?” he repeats a little louder.
your brows furrow once more, but it was more so due to confusion than worry. “nothing happened, i just don’t call you that anymore cause we—”
“i,” he interrupts as if he doesn’t want you to finish that sentence. breathing in in frustration as he balls his fist, he continues, “i know, just… i just miss the way you used to say my name. forget i said anything.”
and at this, you freeze- eyebrows raised and mouth slightly agape.
as if sensing your shock, childe drops the subject and turns his head to the side away from your astonished face.
what the hell is happening?
with your heartbeat thrumming away in your chest, you slowly let your head fall back onto his shoulder.
a third and final silence settles; this time filled with realisations and unspoken feelings. it settles like the first wave of sunlight waiting to thaw out the fjords of snezhnaya after the long, gruelling months of its unforgiving winter.
childe— no, ajax, chances a glance at you once he’s certain you’ve fallen asleep and he finds that his heartbeat sings in time with yours. they thump in unison, and ajax falls asleep feeling less lonely than before. he cradles you and lets his cheek rest on the top of your head, not before untangling your scarf so that it covers the both of you comfortably.
someday, someday he’d get to hear his name roll off your tongue once again. he’d make sure of it;
and somewhere in the grand zapolyarny palace, the tsaritsa smiles.

Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.

Relationships Australia Tel. 1300 364 277
Centrelink Crisis or Special Help Tel. 13 28 50
Tenants Union of Victoria Tel. (03) 9416 2577
Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.

morning light with diluc ? :0
prompt: morning light + diluc warnings: gn!reader, mentions of previous nights activities, references to nudity, fluff
you slowly stir to life, eyes still closed, as the warm rays of sunlight shift onto your eyes. with a grumble, you roll away from the direction of the window and bump into an oddly hard, giant intruder in your bed. your eyes groggily creep open, wanting nothing more than to close themselves and for you to return to sleep. yet, curiosity prevails and you’re met with the thoroughly amused face of none other than diluc ragnvindr.
oh, that’s nice, you think to yourself, eyes fluttering closed. i’ve had a crush on diluc for a while.
before you can return to sleep, a subdued chuckle escapes diluc’s lips and your eyes snap back open in a hurry with sudden realization of two facts. one: this is not your room, nor is it your bed. two: diluc ragnvindr, your best friend and long-term crush, is laying in bed next to you. as memories of the night’s prior events slowly return to the forefront of your mind, you feel heat rise to your face in embarrassment. right. last night, you had stayed past closing at angel’s share, wanting to spend time with your best friend. like usual, he had invited you to stay with him at dawn winery in one of the spare bedrooms, but your typical late night conversation had led to your lips upon his, his hands upon you, and ended with your current predicament: the two of you together in his bed in the morning.
“good morning,” diluc greets you as you stare at him with wide eyes. his voice rumbles with the effects of sleep and you feel an even greater amount of heat rise to your face at the utterly intimate tone his words have.
"g... good morning," you squeak back as your voice is also altered by sleep. amusement and affection swim within the ruby-colored pools of his eyes and you watch as his lips twitch upwards in a smirk. his hand cups the side of your face gently, callouses brushing over the smooth skin of your jawline and cheeks, and diluc presses a chaste kiss to your forehead before sitting up.
"would you care for breakfast?" diluc asks, as if last night hadn't changed anything between the two of you. scarred skin and defined muscles greet your eyes as the sheets fall from his chest and another quiet laugh escapes diluc as he notices your break in eye contact to stare at the exposed skin.
"uh," you begin, staring directly at his sculptured abdomen. "breakfast... yeah... sounds great."
your voice is distant and you realize you're spacing off as you stare at him, so you return your eyes to his. fortunately for you, diluc only looks entertained by your blatant ogling. he nods in return, lips threatening to crack open into a full-on grin, before moving out of bed and standing up. you rapidly avert your eyes from the exposed site before you and, in return, diluc finally breaks out into full-on laughter at your flustered state.
"come on," diluc urges after tugging on a pair of flannel pajama pants. "breakfast is important."
he tosses a pair of pajamas and an old shirt to you as well, sparing you the discomfort of having to re-wear the previous night's old clothes. pink finally dusts his cheeks as you stand up from the covers and, much like you had before, diluc's gaze moves to study the floor rather than you. as you finally shuffle over to him, diluc extends a shy hand out to you.
much like you, you realize, diluc is nervous of rejection. he also fears that you would regret the prior night's events. but, as you interlace your fingers with his, his expression calms and diluc finally breaks out into a full grin, despite the shy blush that dusts his cheeks.
Y'know what, fuck this bullshit. I need to know y'all are actually against it.
