Free Alternatives (Ones I’ve tried):

FireAlpaca64 (Good starter, has lots of things you’d see in a paid app. Also has an animation setting.)

Medibang Paint Pro (Basically FireAlpaca but dark mode and no animation setting. Has more brushes, but you have to download them.)

Krita (I personally prefer the two above, but lots of people like this app.)

Free Alternatives (Ones I’ve heard are good):

GIMP

Affinity

Paid Alternatives (Ones I’ve tried):

Clip Studio Paint (PRO is $50, EX is a little over $200. Main difference is that EX has unlimited animation frames and has more features for comics. It’s frequently on sale, and I got PRO for $25.)

Procreate (Simple app, has many brushes and features. It costs $9.99. It’s similar to FireAlpaca, but with more brushes, textures, and a gallery view. It’s also on iPads only, iirc. The iPhone version I believe is called Procreate Pocket and costs $4.99.)

Paid Alternatives (Ones I’ve heard are good):

Paint Tool SAI ($50 a pass, iirc)

2b nier automata is literally the funniest protagonist of all time because since her design is so sexualized tons of people flooded to the game to look at big anime ass only for her in the very first second of gameplay, before you've even seen the characters, go "why are we here. just to suffer? god, im so fucking sad"

then because nier automata sold so well, due to it being fucking fantastic and the aforementioned anime ass, every gacha under the sun went "oh shit can we have collab with 2b please please please" and yoko taro (i assume) was like "yeah sure" so now she's in like 20 games surrounded by anime thotties going "uwaaah i really hope commander-san notices how short my skirt is!" and she's in the background going
