Can I Talk About The Fact Akutagawa Doesn’t Understand Why Atsushi Saved Him, Even Though He Did The

Something that gets me as much if not even more emotional than Atsushi sacrificing himself is... The fact that Akutagawa cares. He cares so much about Atsushi. And it's silly of mine to even be surprised, we already knew that he cared: he died for him! But all the same, Akutagawa is someone so who feels so inherently evil, so deeply cursed, so fundamentally unfit for love, the fact that he's capable of loving someone in a way that is so deep, so spontaneous, so raw– it's so profoundly moving.

shin soukoku are so imperfect and that is what makes them so good. what do you mean you hate this guy because he’s like looking in a mirror, but you can only see what you deemed as the flawed parts of yourself. what do you mean you are always putting up some kind of front around other people but you can show your enemy the worst and truest version of yourself. what do you mean you are so far into your rivalry that even dying for each other becomes a competition.

The absolute most solemn look I've seen on Akutagawa, where he realizes Atsushi wasn't just some beast he could kill. Atsushi wasn't just an obstacle or a test, because Atsushi is human

I have no idea how Asagiri is gonna handle the end of the six months deal, knowing him it's going to be what literally no one could've expected, but the premise really interests me now. It always did beforehand, but still, now we know more about how Akutagawa feels about Atsushi. And Akutagawa doesn't know it yet, but Atsushi witnessed his past and trauma. They're bonded, connected and understand each other on yet another level now

And genuinely, I don't think Akutagawa can kill Atsushi

Something about how Akutugawa saved Atsushi on the boat at the weakest he’s ever been. For he didn’t have his coat which was the main conduit for his ability.

And yet Akutugawa managed to manipulate the literal shirt off his back to get Atsushi to safety.

But when Akutugawa is at the strongest he’s ever been thanks to Bram passing his ability onto him.

When he reaches the strength that he’s always wanted to attain. That’s when he’s powerless to save himself.

That’s when he’s powerless to save Atsushi.

Akutagawa finally got everything he wanted…and it cost him everything.
