That’s right! A new anthology of comics about women and their swords is kickstarting NOW! I’ve got a fun new gender-bendy fairy tale retelling waiting for you: The Broom and The Blade! If you’ve got feelings about Princess Knight or the Ranma remake, you’re going to like this one.
Process shots from making my faux Delftware Mew! This kit is like, ten bucks, so it’s a great choice is you want to experiment.
I sprayed it white. The plastic and the paint reacted strangely and it got a rough, pebbly surface, but I actually like the effect.
Painted and assembled!
But with some pretty obvious seams…putty time!
The putty finish helped a lot
I started working in acrylic craft paint (please ignore the terrible little paint pots on the right, those are from a craft my kid was doing at the same table!)
It came along better than I thought it would!
A close-up, and then time to glaze!
Lil fancy I drying after a quick and sloppy glaze job.
The results! From a distance it actually looks convincingly like china. I think I’ll try more in future!

I have an unexpected three month gap in my schedule, and I'd love to pick up some freelance! I'm available to draw and write. I primarily work in sequential. I've got IP experience and I'd love cover work!
I had no idea this was in the works until the article dropped (work for hire, am I right?) but Swan Lake: Quest for the Kingdoms is in development with Paramount Animation!
(on another note, credit your artist, people! The artist on a graphic novel is the director, choreographer, costumer, editor and all of the actors rolled into one).
POV: you’re late to a party
A recent commission for a cover illustration to Josephine-Taylor’s web serial, The Monster and The Butterfly. This was an absolute dream to draw — Gothic castle? Determined heroine? Cheekbones for days?? BATB vibes??? It couldn’t have been more My Kind of Thing. The lovely @rosesnwater was the client, who you should definitely check out ✨
More Beauty and The Beast. They had so few carefree, affectionate moments in the story proper, I’m really enjoying an indulgent revisit with these.
Some recent character design work. Alexis Rex and her friends! I'm really happy with the fusion between modern and classic dinosaur vibes. I wanted them to still feel iconically "dinosaur" but acknowledge all the leaps in our understanding of what a dinosaur actually IS.
We did a family Digimon watch a little while back, and my daughter’s favourite was Mimi <3
