Reminder that polyamorous people:
remain polyamorous even when they’re dating only one person or nobody, in the same way a bi/pan person is still bi/pan when they’re not dating someone of the same gender
are often socially ostracized and suffer discrimination and aggression, including things like being fired or kicked out of their parents’ house for being polyam
don’t have marriage rights or many other legal protections anywhere in virtually the entire world
are inherently queer. They aren’t just sometimes also queer in addition to being polyamorous - polyamory is queer
if youre adhd/autistic (or both like this dude here) im just here to say you're NOT annoying me when you scroll through my blog for half an hour (or longer, who cares) and reblog everything you like. doesnt matter if my notes are you and just you for what feels like a mile of scrolling. hyperfcoused on my blog? rad. autism/adhd are your special interests / hyperfixations? amazing. just got stuck in executive dysfunction and you actually have been wanting to do the laundry for two hours but youre still scrolling? i hope you can function that executiveness tm soon but youre amazing too. any other reason? dont worry youre good. thats all i had to say really, but i truly want you all to know this.
What is your dad’s weird hyperfixation??? They all have one
adding /s to the end of a statement is used in many online communities to denote sarcasm
this is useful to people who have trouble reading the tone of a statement without verbal indicators
this especially helps include neurodiverse folks in the conversation!
this type of slang is based on HTML syntax, and there’s more:
/s - sarcastic
/j - joking
/srs - serious
/hj - half joking
and more besides! like emojis, html tone indicators provide important context & clarification to written communication. you can include a wider audience by using them, and autistic readers like me will really appreciate it!
if you already use tone indicators, which are your favorites?
to be clear the first one is the original. i just riffed on it because it’s a powerful message.
So you’re writing a story and you want to make a Jewish character—great! I’m here to help. I always want more Jewish representation but I want good Jewish representation, so this is my attempt to make a guide to making a Jewish character. What are my credentials? I’m Jewish and have been my whole life. Obligatory disclaimer that this is by no means comprehensive, I don’t know everything, all Jews are different, and this is based on my experiences as an American Jew so I have no idea, what, if any, of this applies to non-American Jews.
If there’s anything you want me to make a post going more into detail about or if there’s anything I didn’t mention but you want to know please ask me! I hope this is helpful :) Warning, this is long.

Thinking about the countless times art and music and cinema and literature have saved and comforted me during difficult times i really owe my happiness to everyone dedicated to their craft

Amazing how we’re watching a bunch of white, racist fucks, storm the capitol building of the United States over the fact that they can’t accept their loser of a President lost the election, is unfuckingbelivable. The transparency of minorities and people protesting for human rights and justice in the face of corruption, versus people are sore losers that can’t accept defeat and know they’re protected because they’re white Americans, could not be more apparent.
