me after rendering metal that literally no one will see unless they zoom in

learned some stuff too i love blending but I gotta leave some stuff sharp

as usual, added a bunch of colours and orange-ified him

i genuinely add so much orange i just love warmth i NEED the skin to look well oxygenated man that's all

i genuinely love drawing it's my passion i'd actually love to spend all day drawing

love the blend brush sm i know i've said that a million times but I like the texture and you can literally see my brush strokes that's so cool

erm today was literally crazy tho idk what happened I woke up so late and had to rush so much

i saw the teeniest hummingbird just now anyone know what species this is?? it was so small it could fit in my palm and it flew by really fast, oh this was in California bay area btw, the green part was iridescent that's what that shine is lol

never seen this before thats why im asking usually I see the green and pink one, it especially caught my eye cuz its neck was SO red like bright scarlet red

also cuz... you dont usually see hummingbirds in winter idk whats up with this lil guy do hummingbirds get lost 😭

im not a zoological artist (or anyone who can draw animals in general ngl) don't judge but it was chubby so that part is intended

sort of Part 2... I havent gotten any art as racist as the last one, but there's certainly a lot of "yeah that's not quite right" examples

I literally dare ANYONE to draw his eye shape correctly and NOT give him monolids (although that's slightly more understandable since his double eyelid isn't very visible, just like mine) or just change his eye shape entirely

PS if you wanna attack me during artfight in July... (I always revenge back) you do NOT have to draw my east asian characters if you don't have the skill to do so, I have plenty of other characters!

again dont attack any of these artists I really loved their pieces even if it didn't look like jayden... although it def makes me a bit sad to see it so prevalent, especially since artfight is basically known for being good with diversity and having lots of diverse characters

one day... I will be able to make a giddy post about how accurately someone drew jayden, one day...

random sketches (tried using no guidelines and just... drawing just putting it down line for line, although tbh most of the time I already do that unless I'm drawing a significant amount of the body, cuz I want to establish where the head is in relation to the body and what angle the head is at) of people plus some desserts cuz I love desserts and I never draw anything but people even though I'm actually quite good at drawing food (at least what other ppl have told me)

also i will obv draw guidelines when it's an established character or someone I haven't drawn before cuz I wanna get the face correct and looking specifically like the character

Hello again, I’ve “finished” that drawing I asked you about a while ago! I think I’ll add some lettering to the bottom and make the green-lighted lady’s arms larger, but aside from that, what do you think I should revise? I also wanted to add a glitch effect to the characters at the top (for lore reasons), but I can’t tell if it looks horrible or not. I also am a bit worried about compositional readability.

the glitch effect is cool, but id stick to red, white, and blue for the colours of the glitch, as the green looks out of place and muddy. the characters at the top are also very dark and at first glance I didn't see them at all. if they are meant to be hidden that's fine, but I just want to let you know they aren't very visible, so if that's not your intention id make them brighter or the lighting on them stronger.

the shading looks great for most of the characters but I cant understand where the light source is coming from for the yellow character on the right (not the one in the middle). the shading is also very soft, which for some surfaces makes sense, but in this drawing, everything is shaded very softly with an airbrush. id include some more hard edges in shading since those are important, especially in the face. there should definitely be harder shadows/highlights on the noses too. the hair needs harder highlights especially, all of the hair here looks very soft like a pillow, and not shiny like hair actually is. darker skin is also more reflective and has more contrasted shading, but in this art piece the lighter skin and the darker skin are shaded the same.

the strong coloured highlights really swallow up the colours of the characters clothes and skin, which is why I prefer to use multiply and overlay blend modes, since it retains the colour underneath all the shading.

if I blur my eyes and look at the drawing as a whole, the lightest and most eye-catching part of the drawing is in the middle with the white character, but it seems the characters in the very front should be more emphasised. so i'd say to make the bottom of the image even brighter, simply an overlay layer with a white airbrush can brighten it up, also putting the overlay over the characters at the very top can make them brighter, its a very easy fix.

the pink and light blue character's skintones are looking rather grey, a little bit more orange/red can help with this. i would say the grey character's skin also looks grey, but that's their colour so I'm not sure if that's intentional.

also I'm not sure if the white text is important, but I do want to point out that I have no clue what it says, I can't read it. (I see starry mask on the left, but what does it say on the right? I'm seeing "cplouge") also this is optional but I really like to do it and it adds a lot of life to art, just adding a small white highlight in the eyes
