types of students: flowers

rose: aesthetic notebooks, sad movies, writing a diary, written work, looking up ten or so new fonts every day, soft giggles, can be distracted easily, sweet, always helping other students

sunflower: extremely competitive, studies wherever, high motivation but sometimes no talent, does the talking in group presentations, asks the questions others are afraid to ask, going on walks to clear your mind

lily: reading the course material over and over until you get it, fairy lights, can be innocent, cries over bad grades, disorganized, wants to bujo but doesn’t know how, dancer, probably scared to ask for help

orchid: self-starter, cinephile, can do anything they set their mind to, vintage supplies, always returns what they borrowed, best friends with the librarian, soft voice, ink pens

daisy: natural, wants to change the world someday, vegetarian, activist, can change your mind in two seconds, genuine laughter, not wanting anybody to feel left out, reading extra books because you’re not feeling challenged enough, getting lost in crowds, europe travels

cherry blossom: doodles in the margin, always tries their best, needs a lot of validation sometimes, shy, borrowing your friend’s notes and their sweaters, chapstick, bringing hot chocolate to study groups, mom friends, super organized, smol bean

1920: lace gloves, diamond chandeliers, dry cocktails, curtains blowing in the wind, heartbreak, cigarettes, swollen lips, silver feathers, pearls on the floor

1950: bubblegum, sewing kits, red lipstick, kissing at the drive-in, static on tv, coca-cola, diner booths, whispering secrets, always sad, strawberry milkshakes

1960: cat-eyes, pink bikinis, type writers, rock music, heart-shaped sunglasses, cheeseburgers, florescent lights, leather sofas, anti-government

1970: roller-skates, acceptance, suede, roses, picking daises, at war, and angry, falling asleep, lip gloss, reading in the grass, bad music, burning candles

1980: neon lights, smudged mascara, corded phones, stepping on a lego, butterfly tattoo, star wars, loud arcades, riding your bike with friends, ponytail

1990: silver sneakers, patches on your backpack, young love, denim jackets, cartoons and comics, too close to death, swimming pools, mixtapes, black

2000: babydoll pink, soft-serve ice cream, sunglasses, the smell of chemicals, crushed velvet, sports, cell phones, wild highlights, teenage rebellion

2010: nostaligia, frosted donuts, glitter, sadness, big scarves, coffee, stickers, watering your plants, tangled headphones, bullet journals, greasy pizza

types of students: times of day

2am: neon lights, big dreams, phone notifications on, life plans in a journal, random burst of productivity, quiet unless with friends, poetry, working hard for something and achieving it

6am: studying with friends, pastel aesthetic, empty coffee shops, plant pots, expensive highlighters, bullet journaling, english class, finishing assignments on time, croissants

9am: motivational speeches, coffee supply that could last a year, full face of make-up, political science, perfectionism, trying your very best at everything, studying all days, hard work, ap classes

1pm: drinking tea, healthy snacks, study group, procrastination, scrolling studyblr, cute pajamas, easy a’s, philosophical conversations, getting distracted, lots of motivation, a bit lost, undecided major

3pm: after-school activities, one specific dream college, appreciating the aesthetic, reaching your goals, student council president, becoming friends with teachers, smiling in the hardest of times, studyspo pictures

7pm: messy handwriting, doodles on the paper, always looking your best, bold lipstick, scattered ideas, dark skies, tumblr in class, always the first to apologize after an argument, sweet voice, good heart

12pm: physical textbooks, libraries, campus marble walls, slow burn romance, reminiscing of what could have been, cries over bad grades, old soul, vintage

Today was my last day of high school. Like ever. I actually got caught up with all of the work and my grades are finalized. 

Huh. 

It’s now “I went to high school…” rather than “I go to high school”…

Huh.

When? How? Whaattttttttttt?

serenade: always knows what to say. likes to read. curly hair. an aversion to mushrooms. “do no harm, but take no shit.”

harmony: soft smiles that crinkle at the corners of their eyes. dimples. holds hands with fingers interlaced. carries cough drops. never hesitant to show affection.

concerto: walks around with a guitar. charismatic in the most earnest way possible. cuffed jeans. doesn’t use a pencil pouch.

waltz: leaders. always get the final say. “fake it till you make it.” knit sweaters, scuffed converse, and black pens. hates black coffee. walks into class forty minutes late and convinces the teacher they were on time.

staccato: raised eyebrows and sharp wits. terrified of how deeply they feel. long sleeve shirts and dark smudges beneath their eyes. ink stained hands and cardigans.

crescendo: willing to work for what they want. intense personality. wears glasses and fun socks. generally closed off but completely trusting of the people they open up to.
