I’ve just been thinking about how baffling ranboos existence must be to quackity.

Like it’s already been established that ranboo and Wilbur are foils but no one ever talks about how by proxy that means ranboo and quackity sort of are as well due to the closeness in proximity quackity and Wilbur’s views of the world are.

Imagine with me: quackity’s about to open las Nevadas and is trying to find someone with a lot of wealth to come and spend it all at his casino so he asks him employers

Imagine his surprise when foolish says that ranboo is the most wealthy person on this server. Fucking ranboo.

Not Technoblade with his indomitable will power, not sam with his inventions, foolish and his incredible talent for building, or even quackity’s own unchecked ambition.

But a child with too much time on his hands who’s never fought in a war, never made a true enemy rather than dream, and finds mining for 5 hours straight fun.

It’s would be one hell of a slap on the wrist in regards to that “violence is the only way to get things” done view on life that’s for sure.

But more than anything it would just be inconvenient consider that ranboo legally cannot gamble. And so they move down the list to the next person only to find out it would Probably be tubbo since their married

AND HOLY FUCK BIG Q DOESNT KNOW THEIR MARRIED YET.

Anyways the next person surely will be someone respectable who will gladly come and gamble away all of their money without a second thought.

(And though it’s really tommy in reality, he plays the poor card to often for anyone especially big q to believe otherwise) the next person who isn’t sam is... eret?

Yknow, bouncing off the idea that Mumza is death herself, imagine her meeting Wilbur

Imagine her greeting him with open arms and saying she’s heard so much about him

Imagine Wilbur, logically knowing that Phil loved him despite his general distance, but finally getting to hear just how much Phil loves and praises him when he’s not around

And also imagine Wilbur being brought back to life and immediately grabbing Phil by the collar shouting “YOUVE FUCKED DEATH???”

Eret would probably be pretty mad and would try to collect other people to help him get fundy and foolish out of there

So uuuuhhh have you thought about the fact that both Fundy and Foolish are gonna join Las Nevadas and Eret is gonna be alone again because I surely did *sobs*

Oh I have definitely thought about this!

I’ve talked about how it’s interesting who Quackity picked to bring with him to Las Nevadas: people who are lonely, who can be easily isolated, who have no one to turn to or wouldn’t turn to the people around them for one reason or another.

And the thing is... Eret fits that profile too? Eret is a very lonely character, we’ve seen it, they’ve told us. In another world, perhaps it would have been Eret who Quackity tried to recruit. I mean they are alone and currently confused given the whole Banquet and Foolish thing, they are a good warrior too and, according to Foolish, have a past regarding those abilities. 

But Eret has also put themself in a position where they got manipulated before: the original betrayal. Eret knows what it’s like to be alone, full of regret and not trusted by anyone. They know what it feels like to have nowhere and no one to go, to be manipulated and be made less. (See, for example, a comparison between Dream’s “you sit there and you look pretty” vs Quackity’s “this build reminds me of you [...] you are nothing but an empty shell” one diamond speech to Foolish).

I wonder, then, if Eret would be able to recognize what Quackity is doing, who Quackity is paralleling and why he is doing it. I wonder what Eret’s reaction would be to seeing Fundy, their nearly adoptive son, and Foolish, her presumed old friend, be the ones that Quackity picked.
