i just finished reading your writing project. part 1 and 2 are beautifully written. i loved the poem you wrote me. it was perfect! these were my favorites: hibiscus, chai, rooibos, hyacinth, and alyssum.

I'm not good at writing or giving reviews that's why I'm sending this anonymously but your words are always beautiful and heartwrenching. I think it's generous of you to take the time to listen to other people's stories and write them a poem. This includes people like me who don't write but have a lot on my mind and sometimes I want a poem that I can relate to haha
Thank you and just keep writing. And no criticism from me on the technical level because like I said I'm not a writer. I hope this feedback is okay!
No, this is perfect! Thank you so much. I love listening to people's stories and writing them something based on those experiences. I just get worried sometimes that I might not have been able to capture what they wanted, or do their story justice, as some stories people have sent me, I haven't gone through personally, so I'm glad to hear this. L. V., i'll hand it to you / you don't need to steal anything here
![[on the phone, at a rainy train station:]
I don’t want this heart—take it away, please.
Can I have another mind instead? No, not a brain. A mind, yes.
A mind. I just want more space for the memories.
Precisely.
There are people I don’t want to forget. Yes, even after they’ve forgotten me.
But there are places too—places I want to revisit without having to leave my bed.
Yes, even when I’m no longer welcome. But there are feelings too.
Like I want to remember what it felt like hearing my favourite song for the first time. Like I want to remember what it felt like diving in the ocean
long before I learned how to swim.
Like I want to remember the way you make me feel, always.
But without the side effects.
No, not the side effects! Like, nausea and fever;
coughing up blood and throwing up; like, this lonesome road
that’s replaced my spine over night, and this heart that now only knows to ache.
