FORGIVENESS
"what should i apologize for; what i am or what i'm not?" //
oh, little hero, how close are you to crumbling under the weight on your shoulders? how heavy has that heart of yours gotten? how deeply has the guilt burrowed into your bones? how permanently has the grief been seared into your soul? you were so tender, and the world so cruel. loss after loss after loss, each another chip on your shoulder. because you deserved it, didn't you? if you could be better...faster...stronger...smarter...then maybe it wouldn't have happened. right? the blood stains your hands, and it won't wash out will it? but darling, it's never been your fault. you've learned to turn the rage and the regret, the guilt and the grief, inwards. if you're hurt, it's your own fault isn't it? because then there's a reason for it, because it gives you some semblance of control, doesn't it? what you seek is forgiveness, for your perceived wrongs. but oh, little skeleton, you do not need it. stop blaming yourself for what was beyond your control. let go of the past. grow. and learn to breathe with both of your lungs. stop choking on your own self hatred. the weight will ease, i promise. i love you.

Kali’s eyes widened a fraction as Maeve moves closer, trying and failing to ignore the kickstart the hands pressed at either side of her head sends to her heart.
What are we?
A question she’d toyed with and shoved away over and over again, sounding almost deafening when said out loud. She was no closer to the answer now than she ever was anyway.
Still, somehow, Kali found her lips parting almost imperceptibly at the question. Whatever response she’d not-planned died on her tongue though, as the other woman’s fingers brush through her hair, the air around Kali suddenly feeling a few degrees colder as Maeve steps back.
She sticks her tongue out in return, matching the gesture. “What if I like a challenge?” she asks with a smug grin. “Besides, gotta let you win sometimes. It’d get boring otherwise.”
PINNED + reverse (i’ll leave the context to you 🙂↕️)
📫Send "PINNED" for your muse to pin mine against a wall.
They have been tip-toeing around this, and honestly, they may very well continue doing so. Feelings were complicated and Maeve wasn't at all versed in it, at least not when it came to her own. The ideation of messing around with someone she is close to, afraid of it being anything more and risking their connection made her chest ache.
But there had always been this pull she had towards Kali.
How exactly did they get here? Both of Maeve's hands press against the wall, trapping the female between her arms before one lifts to cup her chin. They've always been playful, but her heart's racing more than usual. Of course, she's always been good at hiding her feelings.
"What are we, Kali?" She asked, a hint of mirth in her silvery eyes as she gazed at the female, their eyes locking before she let out a chortle, easing away as she picked at a little cotton fuzz that was in Kaili's hair. "There. Anyways, you gotta stop challengin' me with these things, like I won't do it to get your heart racing." She stuck her tongue.
ㅤㅤ🎥ㅤTHE MUMMY (1999) – a collection of dialogues from ㅤㅤㅤㅤthe film. please change pronouns and verbiage as needed.
but for our love, we were willing to risk life itself.
you must go. save yourself.
only you can resurrect me.
but for my love of ___ i was willing to defy the gods.
i knew this was gonna be a lousy day.
personally, i would like to surrender. why can we not just surrender?
then let's run away. right now. while we can still make it.
give me frogs, flies, locusts, anything but this!
you are a catastrophe! why do i put up with you?
have you no respect for the dead?
i think you found something.
i've already dated it, this map is almost four thousand years old.
my dear girl, don't be ridiculous. we are scholars, not treasure hunters.
you burned it! you burned off the part with the lost city!
i lie to everybody, what makes you so special?
i tremble with anticipation.
how do we know that's not a load of pig swallow?
i found sand. i saw death.
could you tell me how to get there? the exact location?
for all the money we're paying you, something better goddamned well be under that sand.
personally, i think he's filthy, rude and a complete scoundrel. i don't like him one bit.
smashing day for the start of an adventure, eh, ___?
can you look me in the eye, and guarantee me this is not some sort of flimflam?
i have come to protect my investment, thank you very much.
i only gamble with my life, never my money.
what makes you so confident, sir?
the only thing that scares me, ___, are your manners.
still angry that i kissed ya, huh?
did i miss something? are we going into battle?
the last time i was at that place everybody i was with died.
and the fact that they say it's made out of pure gold, makes no nevermind to you, right?
by the way ... why did you kiss me?
i was about to be hanged, seemed like a good idea at the time.
why if it ain't my little buddy, ___. i outta kill you.
so what's the scam? you get 'em out in the middle of the desert then leave 'em to rot?
the devil himself lives out there.
i am going to kill you for this!
never did like camels. filthy buggers. they smell, they bite, they spit. disgusting.
what in bloody hell is this?
do you realize, we are standing inside a room that no one has entered in over four thousand years.
you're welcome to my share of the spider webs.
and it stinks to high heaven in here.
mummies, my good son. this is where they made the mummies.
let's be nice, children, if we're going to play together, we must learn to share.
we'll sneak up and steal that book right out from under them.
i say, what's our smelly little friend got himself up to?
oh my god ... it looks like … it looks like a sarcophagus.
salt acid. pressurized salt acid. some sort of ancient booby-trap.
no. i believe if i can see it and i can touch it, then it's real. that's what i believe.
i say, bloody good show.
i know, you're wondering, what's a place like me doing in a girl like this?
i may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure hunter, or a gunfighter! but i'm proud of what i am.
don't blame me, i don't even remember being there.
there is a curse upon this chest.
“death will come on swift wings to whomever opens this chest.”
it says, there is one, the undead. who if brought back to life – is bound by sacred law to consummate this curse.
the curse … beware the curse!
i've never seen a mummy look like this.
oh my god, he was buried alive and he left a message.
it says: death is only the beginning.
in all of my research, i've never read of this curse actually having been performed.
you sure you outta be playin, around with that?
it's just a book, no harm ever came from a book.
would you quit playing, around? let's get outta here already!
i told you to leave or die, you refused, and now you may have killed us all. for you have unleashed the creature that we have feared for more than four thousand years.
no mortal weapons can kill this creature. he is not of this world.
i may have use for you. and the rewards will be great.
we must now hunt him down, and try and find a way to kill him, before he consumes the earth.
know this, the creature will be coming for you.
i thought you didn't believe in this stuff?
that's what i am to you? a contract?
ya little stinkweed, where did you slink off to?
yeah, well, we all got our little problems today don't we?
we are in serious trouble.
you saved me from the undead.
there's only one person I know who can possibly give us some answers.
i'm willing to go on a little faith here.
and you think this justifies killing innocent people!?
the creature must first try and regenerate, and then he will attempt to resurrect the one he has loved for more than four thousand years.
he has chosen you to be-the human sacrifice needed to regenerate the body of ___.
who put you in charge? you can't just leave me behind like some old suitcase.
i'm the one responsible for this mess and i intend to be the one to clean it up.
it is better to be the right hand of the devil ... than in his path. as long as i serve him, i am immune.
what are you looking for? lie and i'll slit your throat.
that looked rather painful.
ya know, ever since i met you, my luck has been for crap.
i think you were jealous.
you think it'll send this guy back to hell?
it has begun. the beginning of the end.
don't tell me we gotta go back out there?
you better think of something, because if he turns me into a mummy, you're the first one i'm coming after.
be calm. there is still time.
is it dangerous?
everybody else we've bumped into has died, why not you?
from now on, don't touch anything. not a damn thing.
they are evil, cursed, they matter not.
oh, come on, gimme a break here.
open the book! that's the only way to kill him!
well ... i guess we go home empty handed.
wouldn't say that.

It's been so long since I lost the game.
Kali frowned instantly at Maeve’s words, jaw dropping slightly in indignation.
“Did you really just- oh come on, I’d been going strong for years! How could you?” Her pout deepens dramatically. “I thought you cared about me.”
(Sentences for muses meeting for the first time. Adjust phrasing where needed)
"I've heard good things about you."
"Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for you?"
"Do you always talk so much?"
"May I ask your advice on something?"
"I've not seen you here before. Who are you?"
"I like you. You're refreshingly direct."
"Need a hand?"
"I'm not like the others. I'm excited that you're here."
"Is this what they call love at first sight?"
"I've been introduced to everyone here except you."
"Are you doing anything tonight?"
"You are everything I thought you'd be."
"Oh, I know about you. I've checked you out."
"We've got to stop meeting like this."
"Would you like a drink?"
"Could you close the door, please? I'm not allowed to smoke in here."
"You've been telling people we work together, but I've never met you before."
"Is that your real name?"
"What are you doing tomorrow night?"
"Can you believe his nerve?"
"What's your story? Why have you turned up here?"
"Do you mind if I smoke?"
"How do you know my name?"
"You know, you're exactly as I imagined you."
"What's your name? I might have heard of you."
"I don't mean to intrude, but you seem to have something weighing heavily on you."
"Have we met before?"
"You never asked me my name. That's not very polite."
"Are you the one that everyone speaks about?"
"Could you take a picture of me?"
"Have you got a name at all?"
Kali lets out a soft laugh of her own as Oliver searches for what to say, her expression softening. Cute.
“A mulligan? Hmm…” She makes a show of pretending to think before grinning. “I could say it’s unneeded, but now I think I’m curious on what a Take Two would look like.”
"Do you always make this good of a first impression?"
Oh dear, he didn't exactly impress, did he? Oliver laughed as he rubbed the back of his neck, scrambling to find words. Was she upset with him? He couldn't tell.
"Yep! Absolute ace with them. Totally... never botched a first impression before..." He was drowning now.
"Do I get a mulligan or should I just see myself out?"
“Oh, don’t even. It’s not about the money, Vee, it’s the principle. Plus you were getting those pics regardless, so those don’t count.”
Kali grins as she places a hand on her hip, playfully winking at her as she gingerly places the tiny hat in a free compartment in her handbag.
“At least let me pay for a pastry or something,” she says as her smile widens. “Theo would insist.”
Kali spins on her heel, beaming in recognition at the source of the voice.
“You seem excited-“ she starts, before her gaze falls to the small object in Vee’s hand, a small squeal escaping her lips as she processes her words and what she’s looking at. “Ohmygoodness it’s so tiny! Ahhh, he’s gonna love it so much!”
Her grin widens as she looks back up at her colleague, accepting the miniature accessory into her palm. “Thank you, this was super sweet. You know I’m gonna have to repay you now, right?”
(Sentences for muses meeting for the first time. Adjust phrasing where needed)
"I'm beginning to find you quite interesting."
"I'm not going to have this conversation, least of all with someone I don't even know."
"How do you know where I live?"
"Who are you and why are you being so aggressive with me?"
"Do you always make this good of a first impression?"
"You don't say much, do you?"
"Oh good, I'm not the only one who's late!"
"I don't trust you. I can't trust you. I don't know who you are or where you come from."
"You have an interesting accent. Where are you from exactly?"
"Perhaps you'd like to know my name?"
"I got here by accident. How did you get here?"
"You're pretty cute, you know that?"
"Is small talk a way you deal with your anxiety?"
"It occurs to me that I don't know the first thing about you."
"I've been warned to watch out for women like you."
"Seeing as you let yourself in, forgive me if it's forwards to ask, but who the hell are you?"
"Who are you to tell me what to do?"
"You don't know me. You only know of me."
"How do you know that name? I haven't used that name in years!"
"Oh, hello! I know you, don't I?"
"You know, it is a little bit strange that we hardly know each other, right?"
"Hey, I immediately don't like you."
"I don't think we've ever been alone in a room together, have we?"
"Odd as it may seem, I don't feel you to be a stranger."
"I think your name is beautiful."
"You know that feeling you have that we've met before? It's the same with me."
"I was hoping we could talk a little business. Would you like some tea?"
"I'm not sure we've ever properly met."
"I didn't want us to meet like this."
"I hear you've been looking for me. I'm flattered."
"Hello! I love your work!"
"I have the strangest sense we've met before. Do you think that's possible? In another lifetime?"
"What are you doing sitting here all by yourself?"
"I've heard so much about you that I feel I almost know you."
"If you know so much about me, then perhaps you would like to say who you are?"
Kali’s hands worked diligently, lip bitten slightly in concentration, wincing slightly under her own breath at each sign of discomfort Maeve let out. Her brows furrowed immediately at the other woman’s words and Kali’s gaze shot up to meet hers in irritation.
“When is it ever ‘just a scratch’ with you?”
Her fingers move with practiced ease, far too used to this routine by now. But Maeve’s next words make her pause, a soft huff of air escaping her nostrils, a not-quite laugh.
“You drive me crazy sometimes, y’know that?” There’s a note of obvious fondness under the frustration. “What’s your plan for if my 24/7 First Aid service isn’t available?”
[ wounded ] sender patches up receiver's wounds
Whenever Maeve gets injured, she is a grumbling cat, the insistent “I’m fine, I’ll be fine” never cuts it for Kali, and she knew this well, but still — she insisted.
“Kali, I’m fine, I promise — it’s just a scratch!”
Except it wasn’t, and if it weren’t for the female patching up Maeve’s wounds, she’d have lost a little more blood than necessary. She sighed and watched as the female continued her work.
“Worth it, though. As long as you don't get hurt.” And she knew she’d get a smack or a look from her, but Maeve didn’t care, a chuckle emitting from her. Those that knew Maeve would know how reckless she can be.
non-verbal angst prompts
A, I, L for the NSFW alphabet ! 🖤🥰
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
Very affectionate (especially if she’s sleepy), usually will be the one to bring up cleaning up if the other doesn’t. Absolutely always down to cuddle (gets a little disappointed if she can’t but she would never say it) 50/50 on if she behaves or tries for another round
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
Huge fan of the romantic aspect, very touchy, loves to kiss and look into someone’s eyes (if hers or theirs are open anyway)
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
Cars for sure (preferably leather seats bc easier to clean), the couch and in the bathroom are also fun contenders
E, K, P for the NSFW alphabet?
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
She’s decently experienced and had a few past partners, though none that were particularly serious relationships. She tries to observe whoever she’s with to get an idea for what they do/don’t like, very much more focused on giving than receiving, so she likes to believe that she tends to figure things out pretty well
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Biting or being bitten. Absolutely loves it, 10/10 no notes also praise/degradation but either way embarrasses the hell out of her
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
She usually matches the pace of her partners (and has zero qualms with either), but personally she tends to lean more slow and sensual. Unless she’s really pent up and/or drunk or something (or has been teased for too long), in which case she can be a little devil tbh LMAO
Send a letter and I will respond with a headcanon about the ns/fw topic that corresponds to it!
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex) B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s) C = Cum (where does your muse prefer to cum/have someone cum) D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs) E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?) F = Favorite position (this goes without saying) G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.) H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.) I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect) J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon) K = Kink (one or more of their kinks) L = Location (favorite places to do the do) M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going) N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs) O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.) P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.) Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.) R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.) S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?) T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?) U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.) W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character) X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes) Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?) Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
"kali! kali!" vee waves her arm at @kalisthenics, jogging to catch up to her fellow hunter. from her pocket, she retrieves a very, very tiny top hat and offers it out to her. "i saw this for a little doll at a yard sale yesterday. i thought you might like it for theo?"
" if i order pizza, would you have some? extra cheesy? "
“Oh, you have no idea how incredible that sounds right now. Absolutely yes.”

”you can just make an oc” you dont understand anything. the character needs to mutate naturally until unrecognizable. like all evolutionary processes it takes time. you can’t force it or it doesn’t take. you must endure weird ooc thematically discordant versions of a guy until they bud off into beautiful new life. have patience
