“What if by feeling and expressing my emotions I was actually being manipulative” - the transfem motto
'you wouldn't pirate a-' i would steal anything from any company. anything in the world. i dont even want it i just hate you
me carrying a stuffed animal around while being disabled is not "infantilizing disability"
I am an actually disabled person who carries a stuffed animal as comfort bc disability is hard
what's "infantilizing disability" is assuming that just bc I carry a stuffed animal I'm not capable of making decisions for myself. or that having a stuffed animal makes me a less serious, adult person than you are.

Vent Post
I am tired, and I am sore. My bones creak with every movement, my body throbs with the pain of torn muscles, poorly circulated blood and old wounds. My heart aches for all the siblings and niblings we've lost along the way, for those buried in graves marked with poisonous names. I am fighting, every day I sit down and I fight for my people, no matter how much pain I'm in I cannot and will not stop until I am sure that if not me, at least those who come after me will live a happy life, free from oppression. I am fighting, but I am tired. For now, I rest. Tomorrow I will pick myself up and continue the fight, and then I will rest. Do not forget that in order to keep fighting, you also must rest. Stay safe out there, take care of yourself, and above all else, keep fighting.
I agree with all of this, and want to add my own take in. If there's any reason you should be fakeclaiming people, which there isn't, then it should be because they Don't have fictives from popular media. The more popular the media is, the more people watch it. The more people watch it, the more systems see it, and therefore more systems will split fictives of it. Claiming somebody's faking because they adhere to basic statistics is obtuse and obscene. I absolutely expect to see plenty of dream fictives, hazbin hotel fictives, office, or whatever other popular media. It's literally common sense, please dearest readers, use some critical thinking before you start shouting and pointing at people because they watched popular media while going through struggles. -Em, forever disappointed in the internet
certain fictives make me suspicious. i wont believe you're a system if you have a dream fictive, or anyone from hazbin hotel, or if you have the entire cast of one of those super popular shows. sorry. that's just how we work.
Interesting take and I do see where you're coming from, however this is essentially fake claiming an entire group of people, including those who have diagnosed systems who happen to have introjects from popular media.
There are a lot of reasons people split introjects, including stress and overwhelming experiences, and people with DID can split even after the brain has finished the majority of it's development, especially if they remain in an unsafe environment or they are stressed and already have a system caused by disassociation. Introjects are just another way that the brain choses to process trauma, albeit..a complicated one.
Some "introjects" are simply alters who feel they connect with a character, rather than someone they believe they are.
However, holding that in mind; systems online often chose to share alters, and experiences that they feel others may connect with, who wish to speak or who want to speak/post. We have many alters who don't post for various reasons, and experiences we don't talk about because they're too personal/too triggering etc, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist or didn't happen.
If someone states they have a lot of introjects from a recent popular show/film/fandom/book, and don't show other symptoms then I may become suspicious but flat out stating they can't be a system if they happen to have x character in their head is just... anyway-
Anon, unless you happen to be a psychologist, you don't have the right to entirely say that someone cannot have DID.
I hope I worded this okay. :)
reblog if you’re okay with booping spams
I have never felt more free than being away from the freest country on earth
“DID/disordered plurality isn’t just about having silly guys in your brain, it’s about TRAUMA AND SUFFERING”
yeah ok sure. but it can also be about the silly guys. that’s okay too
