i saw a video of a black shifter talking about how in this reality race holds meaning and how white people are “higher on the totem pole” here.

i feel like if a white person were shifting to be a different race in their dr, even if race doesn’t hold the same meaning there, just for fun or something? that’s just weird. because they haven’t experienced the things like centuries of racism that people of other races have.

in your case i’m really not sure what to think about it. your reason for race changing isn’t a bad one, and in this situation i honestly wouldn’t hold you against it.

it’s more about those “rcta” people and like white people shifting to be another race “for fun” in their drs that really just annoys me. ykwim?

How is it that Everything Everything All At Once is one of the examples of shifting but I've never seen anyone reference it?

I'm going to start off by saying that maybe yes I've just been in a secluded space getting some posts from tiktok from time to time, but I wanna share how I thought of this movie.

Disclaimer: I have not watched this movie after watching it the first time months after its release so I might be misremembering some things.

MULTIVERSES

It was the main point of the movie, how there's infinite realities. Infinite you's, Infinite possibilities. You can be anyone—no, to be exact, YOU are anyone.

The part where they used the computer to search for a reality? It's almost like a Waiting Room. Using the different weird ways to transfer to a different reality? It's like Intention.

Everything, Everywhere, ALL AT ONCE.

You are everything, you are everywhere, all at once. You're not stuck, simply unmoving.

Though Reality Shifting aside, I need to watch this movie again. In another life, I'd really love to be doing laundry and taxes with you. Amazing my asian ass with mommy issues. Love Mitski so much as well.

Althougghhhhhh, the movie was about accepting the reality you're currently in, I think the exploration of different realities is lovely, it makes me wonder if a Reality Shifter has gone to the point they turned to Jobu Tupaki, if they've at least experienced everything all at once, I don't think they'd have the time to make a post back in their OR. There are infinite possibilities, isn't there?

Don’t wait until you’re confident to show up. Show up until you’re confident.

Essentially, fake it til you make it. Don’t sit around waiting to “become good” at something. Just do it. Playing an instrument? Don’t practice until you get it right once. Practice until you can’t get it wrong. Studying for maths? Practice questions until you know how to solve them every time.

Unmotivated? Procrastinating? I know what that feels like. I procrastinated assignments so bad I was rushing to submit three of them in one afternoon. But this quote is right — it’s getting started that was the problem. My mum always tells me, if you break it down into small parts, create a to-do list with rewards for each small segment, or even just make a list for the purpose of feeling satisfied after being able to cross something off or tick a box — it will feel much easier, much more rewarding. And hey, if you’re not reward motivated, that’s okay too. There are other ways of motivation. Find what works for you.
