i just thought of this now while brushing my teeth - minecraft as an analogy for shifting! the home page is being awake in your OR, when you go to your list of worlds, that’s like the void and grey states — the bridge between your OR and DR — each world/server is a different reality, the settings for that world (survival, creative, cheats, etc) is like the script for that world (with your mc skin being like your DR appearance), multiplayer and realms are like group shifting, the “leave game” button is like the safe word, you can only be in one world at a time the same way you’re only able to be aware of one reality at a time, and using chat commands is like using a lifa app/object!

help me this is so silly idk what i’m on 😭 (it’s like 11 at night i have school tomorrow i need sleep) but ykwim????

When someone asks me why I want to permashift I typically say because I want to be with my comfort characters.

But on a deeper level I’d say I want to permashift because of how disgusting this world is towards women. Once I started realizing that literally every man I know has said something misogynistic I realized ya’ll were being for real when saying “most men”. I feel as there is no hope for women here, at least not with the way men are stirring today. Misogyny is so deeply woven through society that I even struggle imagining how life would be without it. I sometimes wish I could go back to being oblivious to this bigotry, I also think this is why a lot of women push back on feminism because it really brings an awareness to one’s self that life isn’t going to treat you the same. The sexualization in particular is something that really upsets me. The way movies and shows always have female nudity, the way women are posed in ads or magazines. It’s like we cannot be just human. The way everyone manages to point their finger to a woman every single time something happens, including women. Misogyny is so bad in our culture that even women are against women. Men’s needs will always be put over women’s needs whether its standards or medically. This is a topic that plagues my mind everyday and gets me incredibly upset, so much so that it’s my biggest motivation to permashift.

little shifting ramble

i feel like one thing that’s holding me back from shifting is that i have trouble seeing my DR selves as me. like i know they’re all me, but maybe it’s the amount i change like my appearance or voice claims that really make my DR selves feel distant.

i see stuff like “act like the person you want to become” or “don’t just visualise your higher self - show up as them” but i don’t know how to do that… maybe i should start thinking about that more often, that way i might feel more connected to my DRs :)

when i stop doomscrolling and suddenly feel the weight of the reality of this world again with all the shitty state of global politics and i want to curl up into a ball and cry because this reality sucks so much and i just want to shift already

i just want to shift somewhere where there isn’t so much hate, against lgbtqia+, against people of other races, of WOMEN, where books aren’t banned and information isn’t censored and where basic human rights aren’t absolutely demolished, where the impending doom of global warming and the threat of a third world war isn’t lurking around every corner.

in this reality i’ll continue to fight by spreading awareness through an instagram account of mine, remys_voice, where i repost reels to highlights that i keep on my profile.

but i feel so guilty. is it so bad to want to escape?

i keep seeing people shifting to anime’s and they script themselves as Japanese but like is there anyone else on shiftblr that’s also Japanese or at least part Japanese in this reality (i’m half, on mum’s side)😭😭 i swear i’ve only ever seen like one other person on tiktok… where my 日本人 gng at🙏🙏🙏

Unmotivated? Procrastinating? I know what that feels like. I procrastinated assignments so bad I was rushing to submit three of them in one afternoon. But this quote is right — it’s getting started that was the problem. My mum always tells me, if you break it down into small parts, create a to-do list with rewards for each small segment, or even just make a list for the purpose of feeling satisfied after being able to cross something off or tick a box — it will feel much easier, much more rewarding. And hey, if you’re not reward motivated, that’s okay too. There are other ways of motivation. Find what works for you.

personally with trauma i do one of two things :

1. script what i have experienced in my cr, and script scenarios with the people in my dr to help me get through it in a healthier way than i did in my cr

or 2. i just don’t script i have any trauma at all

but more often than not i script the first one because i see my drs as places i can go where i have opportunities to heal from things in more healthy ways, and in a safer environment because i’m in control of the script.

soooo you said you’re kind of against race changing, but im changing from black to white (in my dr). cause i want blond hair and blue eyes, and was never very connected to my race here anyways, because my dad is a *crazy* racist (he fucking hates white people, thinks black people are gods will and white people are a disorder or something) so i just want to get out of it. is that so wrong?

i saw a video of a black shifter talking about how in this reality race holds meaning and how white people are “higher on the totem pole” here.

i feel like if a white person were shifting to be a different race in their dr, even if race doesn’t hold the same meaning there, just for fun or something? that’s just weird. because they haven’t experienced the things like centuries of racism that people of other races have.

in your case i’m really not sure what to think about it. your reason for race changing isn’t a bad one, and in this situation i honestly wouldn’t hold you against it.

it’s more about those “rcta” people and like white people shifting to be another race “for fun” in their drs that really just annoys me. ykwim?

had a couple people ask me how i made this post and what app i used, but i literally just used screenshots and edited them on the photopea website (basically photoshop but completely free)! if anyone else wants to make a similar edit for their own dr, here's some blank versions for you <33

the rest under a readmore because the images are tall!

on the first image, add the left overlay (the image with the 'see more' button) to the bottom of the image (so that it half covers the sixth song), and add the right overlay (the image of the '←' button) to the upper left corner of the cover image at the top (once you've added your desired cover image ofc)

if you're editing on photopea (or probably most image editors i assume), place the images that you want to fill the blank spaces with in the layer(s) BENEATH these images; this is important for the first image so that you still get the faded quality overlaying your chosen cover image

to change the text, download and use this font (unless you can find a better one, but this is the closest to spotify's actual font that i could find!) and erase the text that's already there before you add whatever you're replacing it with

Remission (Japanese: レミシオン, Hepburn: Re-mi-shi-o-n) is a Japanese visual kei metal band that formed in 2016 as a group of musicians in high school together, and debuted with their first and self-produced album “EXEO” (Japanese: エクセオ, Hepburn: E-ku-se-o) in August of 2017.

The band consists of lead singer Hana, guitarist Riku, bassist/harsh vocalist Enkai and drummer Isamu. Their musical style is a mix of electronic synthesised instruments and gothic musical elements, accompanied by the heavy metal sounds from all instruments and harsh vocals like fry screams and false chords to create an “EGM” (Electronic-Gothic-Metal) sound.
