Thoughts to my dad in a Philly bar
This song is such a gem. It's from the movie Into The Wild, which Eddie Vedder wrote all the music for. If you love nature or the outdoors, this song is for you. It has such a beautiful message, and how the greatest love some people may have is just the world around us. Also, the idea of just disconnecting from society to fall in love with the thing many people forget about. And the instruments in this song are just so pretty and well done, it’s like they’re lyrics as well. enjoy

When I see this picture, I feel comforted. This feels so familiar.
Last night, I got into some conversations with my friends about life, heaven, past lives and future lives. I will never know who or what I lived in my past or future, because the only plane that we truly know is real, and the only one we have control over is the present. But I see an image like this, I know I’ve been these before. I’ve swam in these water, basked in these iridescent light beams.
And I look foreword to the moment I get to do it all again.
i wrote this poem in a car ride home from a music festival at the end of the summer. it one of those poems that i wrote because everything was so perfect in the moment and i had to write something down to capture the moment. :)
