I Love How The Main Characters Of The Prequel Trilogy, The Original Trilogy, The Clone Wars, And Rebels

I love how the main characters of the prequel trilogy, the original trilogy, The Clone Wars, and Rebels can be summed up as follows:

A Lasat, a grumpy droid, a smuggler, and -deep breath- Darth Vader's son, Darth Vader's daughter, Darth Vader's droid, the droid Darth Vader built, a Wookiee who saved Darth Vader's padawan, Darth Vader's master, Darth Vader's grandmaster, Darth Vader's padawan, Darth Vader's wife, Darth Vader's favorite clone captain, a Jedi who fought Darth Vader, a rebel pilot whose father fought alongside Darth Vader's master, a Mandalorian whose mother fought alongside Darth Vader's padawan, a padawan who fought Darth Vader and met Darth Vader's master on Darth Vader's home planet, Darth Vader's padawan again, Darth Vader before he was Darth Vader, and Darth Vader 🤣🤣🤣

anakin please im begging you stop causing so much drama and getting so involved in everyone’s drama

This Is Where The Dragons Went ...

This is where the dragons went ...

And although the space they occupy isn’t like normal space, nevertheless they are packed in tightly. Not a cubic inch there but is filled by a claw, a talon, a scale, the tip of a tail, so the effect is like one of those trick drawings and your eyeballs eventually realize that the space between each dragon is, in fact, another dragon.

They could put you in mind of a can of sardines, if you thought sardines were huge and scaly and proud and arrogant.

-Terry Pratchett, Guards! Guards!

does anyone wanna hold hands until we feel a little braver

anyway sound off. at what stage do ppl think Han figured out the Force was real. the boring answer is after seeing Obi-wan vanish but i think he could rationalise that away as his eyes playing tricks on him. what do we think.

Suit jackets in the past: here’s space for your wallet, your notepad, your newspaper, your pipe, your knife, your gun, your backup gun, your axe, your sword, your bow

Suit jackets now: here are two little flaps on your waist just to represent the idea of pockets

I think my main problem with modern clothing is that nothing's got volume anymore. Like historically there's been so much clothing that's just BIG, bulky, meant to be flashy and volumnous and not look like it was just spray painted on the body. I mean yeah I do wear skinny jeans on purpose but what if instead of a hoodie I wanted to wear a big fuck-off fancy little purely decorational off-the shoulder cape? Consider:

I Think My Main Problem With Modern Clothing Is That Nothing's Got Volume Anymore. Like Historically

Big brimmed hat, big boots, skinny jeans, t-shirt and a big wide short cloak that covers up like half of me. Not for any body image reasons or other insecurities. I just think that if I wished, I should be able to discreetly conceal carry a small dog.

Everyone is fighting a tough battle so reblog to give previous a sword 🗡️

Only right now am I discovering plenty of shows of different degrees of “old”. I may not be making a lot of fan content, but be sure I need it.

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

My favourite thing about Éowyn and Faramir is that when Éowyn tells Faramir she’s in love with Aragorn, his response is basically “well duh, who isn’t.” He truly gets Éowyn, not only because he has similar experiences with despair and grief, but also because the two of them feel the exact same way about Aragorn.

Strictly, canonically speaking, Faramir isn’t in love with Aragorn, but his old-school Medieval fealty has the level of passion and intensity that a modern reader tends to associate with romantic love. (Though of course he isn’t an outlier in a series about passionate friendship and fealty.) The first time Faramir ever saw Aragorn, in the Houses of Healing, “a light of knowledge and love was kindled in his eyes” and he immediately volunteered to do anything his king asked of him, even though he had just woken up from life-threatening illness and probably didn’t have the strength to get out of bed under his own power. And what he offers to Éowyn, among other things, is this: you can continue to love Aragorn as your king and captain, we can both love him that way, and love each other with a quieter peacetime love.
