“Oh my god, you have no idea how much I owe you right now,” you looked exhausted when Xuxi opened up the door.

“Of course, come in,” he says while he steps aside. You walked in without another word and carefully carried a large baby carrier with you. “What happened?”

“My mom called, she needs help right now because her car stalled and I had no one to turn to,” you rushed. You placed the carrier by the couch and handed Xuxi a large bag. “Have you ever changed diapers before?”

“No…”

“Okay, not a problem, just look it up on YouTube. Her formula’s in the bag, you just have to mix it with a cup of warm water. I packed a lot of little towels and, yes, before you ask, you will need all of them. She has extra clothes in there too, just in case, and if she cries just give her her pacifier and if that doesn’t work just hold her for a bit but don’t shake her up because she has a weak stomach and she’s heavy so be careful. Use this towel whenever you carry her because yes oh god babies throw up. And, whatever you do, keep these little gloves on her because the little girl loves to scratch herself and it worries me to no end. Do you have any questions?” You caught your breath and held your hands in gentle fists. Xuxi just shook his head.

“Just go, (Y/N), I’ll take care of her for you.”

“Thank you so much, you’re a life saver, Xuxi. If anything happens just call me and I’ll go to someone else, okay?”

“No worries! I can take care of mini-(Y/N) just as well as I take care of you,” he laughs. You visibly relaxed and was about to say more when your phone rang again.

“Okay, that’s my cue. I’ll be back as soon as I can!” You took your keys out and rushed out of the door.

“Drive safe!” Xuxi called once again, but you were already in your car and driving off. Xuxi sighed and locked his door, walking over to the barely a year old child who was wide awake in the carrier. “Hello there, mini-(Y/N),” he says. The baby stared at him with wide eyes and Xuxi smiled softly. “I’m your mom’s best friend! Just call me Uncle Xuxi, okay?” The baby just babbled and Xuxi laughed quietly. “Want to come out of your little carrier? It’s past your bed time.”

“Mm,” the baby answered in a way as if to say yes and Xuxi carefully unbuckled her carrier and pulled out the towel from the bag.

“Your mom is so cool, I could never do what she’s doing, especially alone,” he says with a wistful voice while he fixed the towel over his shoulder. He picked up the small baby with precision, the last thing he wanted was to hurt the small baby and have her not trust him for the rest of her life, no way, then he walked over to his kitchen. “You’re so light, I don’t know what (Y/N) was talking about, calling you a big baby, haha. Oh and you’re so cute, you’ve got big ol’ eyes like your mom, don’t you? Don’t worry, you can trust your good uncle Xuxi. I won’t leave you like your dad did.”
