thinking about how badly edward must have wanted to court a girl before he was turned. thinking about how heartbroken he must have been when he was turned and thought he was incapable of being loved. thinking about him meeting bella and realizing he gets to take care of a woman that he loves. thinking about him finally being able to propose to the love of his life after a century of thinking he had lost that option.

some random i met on tinder texted me about twilight out of the blue without any indication from me whatsoever that i am in fact twilight trash i have to scream i’ll keep y’all updated

there is this controversy i saw that edward forced bella to marry him? in return for sex or sth? when did he ever? marrying someone is a lifelong commitment and in the case of cullens, its much more than that. edward asking bella to marry him before becoming a vampire is only a wise offer because if bella wouldnt marry edward, if even just this little amount of commitment couldnt be accomplished by her how would she be able to live as a vampire for all eternity? committing to an eternity is a much bigger problem than what she was presented. edward also may have his own beliefs on what a relationship should be like and no one should try to manipulate it. every single one of us has an idea on what love is supposed to be like and wanting to marry someone before having sex could just be a small gesture from him to his past human self and his values? he didnt dangle sex to bellas face then proceeded to say "only if you marry me spider monkey" like he has his views and they should be respected just as much? why are people not ok with this i really dont understand? if it was for bella no one would say a thing but when a man does it its automatically made out to be "a man forcing a woman who doesnt wanna marry into marriage and asserting his dominance" like if there is a dominant person in the relationship its bella swan shut up
