Nobody talks about how suecidal thoughts are sometimes comforting. Like you think to yourself that no matter what happens, no matter how bad it gets. Thats the one thing that will always be there. It feels releaving knowing that theres just a way out, of everything. That you can skip all the steps and just quit. That can be calming. And thats dangerous. Really fucking dangerous.

This is partly how ocd caused eating disorders feel like in my experience

Ppl who have eds and ocd: how did you work past fantastical thinking? It's the hump my therapist and I are struggling to get past that keeps causing me to relapse.

These are thoughts such as "if I eat before finishing this assignment, I will fail this assignment," "if I eat during this study session, then I will fail the exam I am studying for," "if my bmi surpasses X then I will develop non-alcoholic fatty liver disease," "if my daily calorie intake doesn't end in 5 or 0 then I will develop cancer or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease," "if i dont puke this then i will develop type 2 diabetes since it runs in my family" etc.

Logical breakdowns such as "actually purging increases the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes according to recent research," or "eating will increase brain function and improve your studying" haven't helped and it's caused multiple backslides over the past year.

It's pride month you know what that means
