An unanswered question from the ATWOW film which I've long wondered about centres around Neteyam's whereabouts on the day that Lo'ak gets lured out of the reef by Ao'nung and meets Payakan. When Lo'ak returns home safe that night, Jake and Neytiri question Neteyam:
Neytiri: "Where were you?" Jake: "Yeah, what happened to keep an eye on your brother?" Neteyam's answer is a simple apology, "Sorry sir."
But we never find out where Neteyam actually was. đ¤ Was he having a vulnerable moment to himself?... Was he perhaps meeting quietly with a Metkayina girl?... The possibilities are quite enticing as an author with an overactive imagination... Anyone have any other theories? đ
Not only did Cardan send Jude a dress to match his own clothing in tcp, but out of the blue that night, he decides to dance with Jude. He doesnât even wait for her and Locke to be done. And he says nothing that indicates he had a specific reason to talk to her. Read it. Chapter 20 TCP. He has nothing important to say to her, and he doesnât mock her either. He just makes conversation in his Cardan way of doing so, while also getting the tiniest bit handsy.
Beautifully, he ends their conversation with, âUntil we spar again.â As he departs, Jude says that Cardan âweaves unsteadily through the crowdâ
Bitch⌠đŤ˘âŚ we know damn well why them legs unsteady. And it ainât the mf liquor.
I am still so feral for this man. Oh Lordy đŽâđ¨
The desperation in annabeths âwaitâ when Percy shuts the door. When she screams âPercy donât do this to meâ my HEART!!! THE SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN PERCY KNOWS SHELL BE OKAY. Honestly Percy outsmarting Annabeth to introduce his fatal flaw is possibly the best way to introduce who he is. They shattered my heart with this scene.
Ok, this

Everything else aside, you know what else is fucked up? How Athena let ECHIDNA, the literal MOTHER of all monsters and the freakin CHIMERA into her "temple". And for what? Annabeth "embarrassed" her??? By letting her demigod quest companion do what he wanted with HIS battle ruins??? AND SHE KNEW THERE WERE CIVILIANS???????
I am having such a hard time picturing me wanting to take the Gods' side in season 5. I just don't see it happening.
âMighty warriorâ Neteyam. Sketch
Locke: Remember when I kissed Jude in the garden?
Cardan: I recall your mouth was on her. But her eyes were on me.
LIKE, woah. The possessiveness practically DRIPPING from his tone. Yes I know that we didn't hear hear it. But let's be honest, we all heard it loud and clear
Neteyam deserved better, and not only bc he deserved to live longer. In the time he still was alive he was treated like a child (how he was talked to, the rules he had to follow, etc) with the responsibilities of an adult (mainly mothering his siblings, but also generally following his fathers orders without complaint). He literally lived with child restrictions and adult restrictions both, and could we call that really living? He totally deserved to live longer, but he also deserved to live his short time to the fullest, to live his life like a child. Because, while living in times of war certainly changes things, his siblings lived as children/teenangers till the end of the movie, but he didn't get that.
I think that's what makes the little moments where his playful teenage side emerges (when he banters with Lo'ak, his little laugh when he decides to throw himself in the fight against Aonung to help his brother, when he sees the Tulkun for the first time) so special and at the same time heart wrenching.
Unique(obviously) . Excruciating(imagine him in constant 'pain' cuz he knows she hates him and he knows she isnt his and probably wont be) Alarming(imagine him alarmed everytime he sees her because hes just hit with how beautiful she is and how much unlike him and loved) Distressing(imagine him panicking because yup, he loves her, but she never will)
âMost of all, I hate you because I think of you. Often. Itâs disgusting, and I canât stop.â
â The Cruel Prince
âBut what does Grover bring to the table? Heâs just the comedy relief character.â Grover is juggling the role of babysitter, mediator, and emotional manipulator and he cracks jokes too? Give him a BREAK
