Summary - The Reader wakes up with a Ghoul on their chest.
Warnings - breaking into a bedroom, Phantom being a cryptid menace

A/n - Gender Neutral Reader. Not Requested. The Reader is a Sibling of Sin. I just had this thought that because the other types of Ghouls can manipulate elements, I thought the Quintessence Ghouls could deal with more indeterminable things like feelings and dreams. Just thought that this would be a fun idea to write, so I hope that you enjoy this! :)
———————————————————————————
Your chest felt heavy. Every breath you took required extra effort. Extra effort that you didn’t want to use. You just wanted to continue to sleep before your alarm went off for the morning. In your sleepy haze, you thought that rolling over would solve the problem, but when you tried to move you discovered that you couldn’t. Confused, you fluttered open your eyes, trying to quickly blink away sleep.
Directly above you was a ghoul. Sitting on your chest and staring at you through the opaque goggles of their mask. Their arms were placed on either side of your head. Clearly, they were trying to keep the majority of their weight off of you and on their arms, but every so often they would lean down closer to you, putting slightly more weight on your chest.
Upon seeing you awake and confused, they crooked their head to the side, looking more like a cat than a ghoul. That’s when you caught sight of this ghoul's horns. Longer and more slender. Phantom. Of course, he would do something like this.
“What are you doing here, Phantom?” You asked, your voice heavy with sleep.
“You were dreaming.” He mused charmingly.
“Well, I was asleep. Most Humans dream when they are asleep.”
“You just felt so content and happy.” The ghoul snapped his neck to the other side and peered over you. If you didn’t know Phantom, you would have taken this movement as a threat. But you knew Phantom and you knew that looming over you and eyeing you like he was inspecting his soul was a common occurrence with the ghoul.
“So, you broke into my room to sit on my chest.” Phantom hummed in acknowledgement and nodded animatedly like a pleased toddler.
“And feel to your calmness.” You could see Phantom smile down at you in the dim light of morning. He wasn’t wearing his balaclava, even around his neck, so he must have left his room in a hurry and forgotten it, as he often did.
His smile was different from the smirks he sent you when he was performing or practising. His smile was also different from the prideful smiles he would send you after he scared you in the hallway or distracted you from your duties around the Ministry. He looked rested. Calm, content and happy. All of the words he had used to describe you a moment ago.
“Anyway, good morning, sibling.” Phantom leant forward, causing you to panic for a moment before his mask-covered forehead lightly pressed against your own forehead. Just as quickly as he invaded your personal space, Phantom left it and jumped off of you and off of your bed.
“I hope that you have a good day!” Phantom yelled in a sing-songy voice before strutting out of your room. At least he closed your bedroom door behind him, which he always forgot to do just after he was first summoned.
You let out a sigh. Phantom was going to be the death of you. Before you could mull over all of your growing feelings for the newly summoned ghoul, though, your alarm began to blare throughout your room. At least you could distract yourself from your demonic crush by completing your chores and studies. For now.

------------------------------------------------------------
There was a random knock on your door, jarring you away from your reading. You were too confused to act at first, you hadn’t ordered anything online, and you hadn’t even ordered takeout. There was no reason for there to be a knock at your door today. You found your bookmark, but not as fast as you would have hoped. The bookmark, having fallen and cocooned itself within the blanket strewn across your lap, made itself very hard to find. The knocking increased rapidly as you finally escaped your soft prison. You haphazardly placed the book on the nearby coffee table, which was riddled with random objects and dishware because of your lack of cleaning your apartment recently.
You stumbled to the door; legs sore from sitting for so long. You rifled a hand through your still slightly damp hair as you opened the door quickly, having grown annoyed by the knocking that seemed to grow in volume and in pace. Whoever was on the other side of your front door seemed to be in an impatient mood. Your eyes went wide with shock when the identity of the annoying knocking person was revealed.
“What are you doing here, Master?” Your tone was confused, and a bit angry, he had been unusually quiet for months, ceasing all calls and texts and especially visits. You assumed that he got into trouble with some alien government he tried to scam once in the past or he was aware of the current pandemic and just wanted to avoid the whole debacle, or, even more likely, both options simultaneously. No matter what his reasoning for not communicating for so long, it still stung for him to abandon you so abruptly and coldly.
“What?! Y/n, I thought that you would be happy to see me! I’m sorry for not talking to you for a week,” your mouth fell open in shock, which he didn’t notice due to his rambling and his dramatic hand movements, “but I’ve been busy, scheming, planning, overthrowing planets … did you change your hair …” He finally noticed something, at least. He seemed unaware of the fact that his week of adventures had been four months of quarantine for you, but at least he noticed was something. You allowed him into your living room, hoping that he would close the door behind him as you picked up and organised some stacks of books, random discarded hoodies and old takeout menus that might become useful if The Master were to spend the night.
“Oh, yeah, I might have had a breakdown a couple of weeks ago and just made an impulsive decision. Said decision being based on a couple of months of questioning if I would look good with a different hairstyle…,” you looked at him in the middle of tidying up to see The Master now shocked. You imagined that your face and demeanour mirrored his current appearance when you opened the door, which might have explained his smirk then. The look of being verbally or situationally lost and left to pick up the pieces was funny to witness, and confusion and shock looked very cute on his face, making this situation bearable.
“Do you like it?!” You questioned to draw him out of his running mind.
The Master stuttered a bit, looking anywhere but your face, “Y-yes, I like it. You look … nice.” He stroked his eyebrow with his finger before helping you move some books from the coffee table, he still did not understand exactly what situation he left you in. With the general area around the coffee table and couch relatively clear, you offered him a seat while you went to go make some tea for the two of you.
He didn’t take you up on that offer, however. He merely followed you into the kitchen silently, resolving to lean against the counter and stare at you as you worked. He was still confused, but his shock mellowed a bit. You were always a mystery to him. You were a strange little Human that made him feel things. Things that were meant to be an impossibility for him to feel. Now he had to work out the mystery of what had occurred in your life since he dropped you off at your flat. And given the fact that he was already agonising over the mystery of how you had so much power over him, he preferred not to overwork himself.
“How long have I been gone, for you?” You looked at him in the middle of a journey to retrieve a jug of milk. His face was calm, but his eyes were large and sad, searching every part of your body, excruciatingly trying to find any differences in you or your personality other than your new haircut. He feared that you might have done more to yourself during your self-described breakdown.
“Almost five months. You dropped me off right before the quarantine was enacted.” you handed him a purple mug you had bought for him, but he insisted that you keep it at your flat in case he threw it during one of his infamous fits of rage. He thanked you for the tea and acknowledged the time apart but questioned the quarantine. Five months wasn’t awful by his standards, maybe to yours, but you were Human. He knew, however, how much trauma and tragedy can make a short time feel like forever and make a person desperate for the agony to be over.
“You know, the covid-19 crisis. The crisis reaching pandemic levels that certain world leaders are trying to ignore until it goes away. You know ... that quarantine.” You tried to joke, both to cheer yourself up from the past five months of boredom and fear and as an attempt to get The Master to smile. He did not smile, unfortunately, he kept staring at you, eyes searching for any pain in your words and actions.
He placed his mug down on the kitchen counter, then softly removed your mug from your hands and placed it on the counter in order to join his own. He turned back to you, stepping closer, ghosting his fingers over your own. He was secretly asking your permission to hold your hands. Which you accepted, interlocking your fingers together.
“I’m sorry.” He spoke so softly that it alarmed you. He had only spoken with you this softly one moment before, after being trapped on Earth for 77 years. He brought your interlocked fingers up to his lips to kiss your knuckles.
“I did not mean to be away for so long. I wouldn't have even left you if I knew you would be forced to be on Earth alone. Especially for nearly five months!” You removed his hand from yours, his eyes shone with hurt at the loss of contact until he realised that you were trying to readjust the two of you into a hug. The Master clung to you, resting his head in the crook of your neck. He would occasionally kiss and nip at your soft skin, but go back to breathing in your scent, grounding himself in your comforting presence. He hated being alone without you. You hated being alone without him. Neither of you spoke about this, but you both knew of the other's feelings.
“You would tell me if you were hurting right?” He hugged you slightly tighter, causing the buttons of his waistcoat to dig into your stomach.
“Of course, why?” He could tell that you weren’t lying, and he smiled at your loyalty but brought himself back to what you had mentioned.
“You said that you had a breakdown.”
“Well, I did message you. You didn’t answer, but I guess that has to do with a weird time thing.” He shook his head in disbelief at your Human memory.
“Yes, weird time thing, thank you for using the technical term I taught you. My phone will adjust to the correct time, eventually.” As soon as he said that, almost like magic, his phone went off with a series of dings and vibrations.
“Why isn’t it automatic? Like when you go to a different time zone?” The Master looked you in the eye, and you knew what he was going to say.
“Weird time thing.” The two of you simultaneously spoke. The Master began to scroll through the barrage of old messages that finally appeared, growing more and more disgruntled and worried with each new message. His forehead creased and his brows furrowed, his mouth was set in a permanent frown. Upon reading one message, he drew his lip into his mouth and bit it anxiously, something you had never seen him do. Maybe it was a habit he picked up from watching you do it so many times. But he quickly returned to his seriously stern expression when he realised you were watching him.
You were tired of this, and you didn’t want to see his reactions to the voicemails you left him, which were even more anxiety-ridden and depressed in nature. You tore the phone from his grip and pocketed it. Before he could complain, you enveloped him in another hug.
“I’m fine now, Master. You’re here. Please stop worrying about me.” He reciprocated the hug, cradling your head in his shaking, worry-caused, hand.
“I will never stop worrying about you -” You cut him off, guessing what he was going to say.
“Yes, because I am a pathetic little Human. I'm from too fragile of a species to actually take care of myself properly. Blah. Blah. Blah. I heard this speech five months ago!” You chuckled into his neck, which he loved the feeling of, but he corrected you.
“Actually, I was going to say that I will never stop worrying about you because I care about you.” You tried to look at his face, but The Master’s tight grip on you kept you pressed against him.
The two of you never talked about your feelings toward each other, but both of you knew that feelings were present. You would both hold each other for long periods of time, like this one. You would kiss each other on the cheek, forehead, hands, neck, basically anywhere except for each other’s mouths because that might have been too intimate in the past. The two of you would even jokingly call out to each other with the moniker ‘my loving spouse’. The two of you would also occasionally say that you loved each other, but always in tones of jest to try and mask the truth and weight of the words. Maybe the wall you both put up was finally breaking down.
Out of nowhere, The Master shot backwards from the hug, placing his hands on your forearms to keep you in place, as he cracked a cheeky smile.
“Idea! Do you want to get off of this miserable planet and go on an adventure?” You breathed a sigh of relief, desperate to do something off of the planet Earth and to get out of the emotional state that you have been in recently.
“Absolutely! An adventure anywhere sounds fantastic!” His smile grew even wider at your response. He rolled his shoulders back in confidence, grabbing you by the neck and giving you a kiss on the forehead before running to your door and, subsequently, his TARDIS, pulling you in tow. He bounded inside, leaving you to close the door of the TARDIS, as you had left him in a similar state earlier. However, The Master’s excited attitude crumbled as a loud beeping began emitting from the console.
“What is that noise?” You questioned by his side, trying to understand the Gallifreyian writing flashing on the console screen.
“It’s an alarm.” He grumbled, he leaned his hands on the console, his head falling down between his shoulders.
“Yeah, I can see that, but what's alarming you about what? What’s wrong?”
“Oh nothing,” he said sarcastically, raising his head and talking with his hands dramatically, “Just an alarm informing us that no individuals can leave the planet Earth or this period in time for the foreseeable future until the virus dies down!” He walked over and slumped down onto a nearby sofa, his head falling in his hands. You walked over to sit beside him, wrapping an arm around his back to massage his shoulders and leaning your head against his.
“I know how much you hate Earth, Master, especially being stuck on it, but at least you won’t be alone. You have me this time.” He looked up at you, eyes holding back tears. He really didn’t want to have to do this all over again.
“I love you, Y/N.” This was his way of thanking you for being beside him when no one has ever done that before, and also his promise to not leave you alone like he just accidentally had. It might have been accidental, but he still felt guilty. A tear fell from his beautiful and inviting eyes. You reached up to wipe it away.
“I love you, too, Master.” This was you making the same promise to stay by his side and the same declaration of appreciation for his willingness to stay with you. You took the opportunity of this soft moment to place an impulsive kiss on his lips like you always wanted to. It was just a peck, though, but The Master deepened the kiss in a fervour. He passionately held your face in his hands and caressed your cheekbones with all of the pent of love for you he has trying to suppress since he met you. The two of you broke apart, eventually, both breathless with bruised lips.
You and The Master ended up holding each other until you both fell asleep, there on the TARDIS console room sofa, blissfully unprepared for what your future would throw at you but determined that the two of you would make it through. As long as you each had each other, you and The Master would make it out together. No matter what.
Pairing: Dh!Master x Autistic!Reader
Word Count: 3000
Summary: The Master has recently had an epiphany, and feels the need to impress the reader. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go quite to plan.
Hurt/comfort with autistic!reader.
Warnings: Sensory overload/shutdown, self-deprecating language
A/N: There is now a second part, linked above 😊
Unknown to you, The Master had recently had an epiphany of sorts - or rather, he had finally realised that his feelings for you had developed further than friendship. He had spent a few weeks trying to deny the fact, or get rid of the new feelings, but just as he thought he was successful you would do something cute like jumping up and down when you were happy and he would just fall in love with you again.
So now, he was coming up with a plan to win your affections, narrowing down his list of planets that would hopefully impress you enough that you might fall in love with him too.
After a few hours of some very detailed research he found the perfect planet, Zacrypso. It had pale pink skies and waters to match, and the grass was a vibrant blue-green. Though the main reason he wanted to take you there was for the sounds the crystal leaves make when they moved in the wind, it was supposed to be beautifully melodic (at least according to the brochure). Of course, he was going to take you to a time before anyone had found the planet, so you wouldn’t be interrupted by any blithering aliens.
Though you normally liked knowing exactly when and where the two of you were going, The Master had been able to convince you to take a surprise trip. There was a minor hiccup when he entered the co-ordinates and his TARDIS deleted everything he had typed in, causing him to start over again after a quick kick to the TARDIS console (which seemed to stop her from intervening any further).
Finally, the two of you arrived on the planet. The Master grinned at you, earning a slightly nervous smile on response. He wasn’t worried though, that would turn into a proper smile once you saw Zacrypso.
————
Truthfully, you were worried about a surprise trip. You always liked to know where you were going in advance so that you could prepare for any potential sensory issues or outright object if it was going to be too much of an issue. What didn’t help was the fact that you hadn’t actually told The Master about being autistic yet.
At first it had been because he already saw humans as weak and you didn’t want to give him anymore reasons to think that. Now though, it was more because the longer you put it off the more awkward it got, so you just tried to ignore that issue as best you could.
Still, you had been hesitant to accept his offer of a surprise trip, but when he looked at you with such an excited expression there was no way you could break his heart by rejecting his offer.
So now you were stood by his side in front of the TARDIS doors trying desperately to calm your nerves. When he opened the doors all of your nerves were momentarily put aside and replaced with wonder for the planet in front of you.
It was unlike anything you had ever seen, the colours were beautiful and you had to stop just to admire the place for a moment.
You were so focused on admiring the place that you didn’t notice the way The Master was looking at you as you slowly stepped out of the TARDIS (which had disguised itself as a purple-grey log).
“You like it?” He asked, and when you looked to him there was only a small and slightly smug smile on his face.
“Yes, it’s beautiful! Thank you Master.” You averted your gaze at the last bit in hopes to stop you from becoming overly flustered.
Unfortunately you could feel your heart beating away very quickly and you really hoped that his Time Lord hearing couldn’t pick up on the sound. The last thing you wanted was for him to kick you off the TARDIS because you had caught feelings for him and he didn’t reciprocate. Though in moments like these you couldn’t help but feel hopeful that maybe he had fallen for you too.
Pushing those thoughts aside, you followed him as he lead you further into the planet, towards a forest that you could just about make out in the distance. As you walked he would occasionally tell you facts about the planet, like why the sky was pink or why the grass was turquoise, but mostly you walked together in comfortable silence.
Once you started to get closer to the forest you heard a ringing in your ears, and while at first you thought it was just your head going funny, you soon realised that the noise was coming from the forest.
It was a strange sound, almost like wind chimes, it was beautiful and unlike anything you had ever heard before. Though, when you started to get closer to the forest the sound became a tad overwhelming. Still, you tried to ignore the growing tension in your body and continued in the direction of the noise.
Briefly, you looked towards The Master and saw a very satisfied smile on his face, showing he was clearly content, which urged you to carry on. Unfortunately, as you got closer and closer to the noise, you felt the tension in your body starting to grow as you became overwhelmed.
“What’s making that nose?” You asked The Master in hopes of distracting yourself.
“It’s the crystal leaves on the trees. As the wind moves around it creates different tunes. Basically like natural wind chimes.” His smile had grown while speaking to you and you felt your heart beating faster again, though now you weren’t sure whether it was because of him or the growing sense of discomfort.
The Master continued on and though you knew you were following him you were struggling to stay focused on anything other than the very loud and overwhelming noises.
No matter how much you wanted to stay for The Master, you knew that you wouldn’t be able to cope with it for much longer, and secretly started hoping that he would just get bored and decide to go back to the TARDIS.
————
The Master was overjoyed, because his plan was working. Seeing the look on your face when you saw the planet was almost enough to make him kiss you right there, though he managed to restrain himself. He loved watching you as the two of you walked towards the forest, so delighted by the planet he had taken you to and absolutely fascinated by any facts he had told you.
The two of you had finally made it to the forest and he was actually impressed that the leaves sounded exactly like the brochure had described. The Master had turned to look at you and he took in your wide eyes and small smile and, well, he had definitely hoped for a better reaction, but you were probably just in shock.
Then you had asked him about the noise and his smile grew after he described it to you and your face seemed slightly more in awe of the place he had taken you to. He continued on further, just taking in the surroundings. If he was being honest, it was quite nice to take a break from your usual adventures, which often involved some sort of crime. Like how on your last adventure the two of you had charmed your way into a royal court, just for the two of you to steal the planet’s most treasured jewels. He always loved the thrill that bought him - not to mention the money that was acquired after selling the goods off to the highest bidder - but he knew that he would probably enjoy any situation as long as you were content by his side.
He turned back to try and catch a glimpse of your awe-filled expression, only to see your eyes flickering all around the forest, and a clear tension in the way you were holding yourself. The Master had expected you to be excited and amazed, not panicked like you currently were. On that note, why were you panicked? He had checked the planet when the two of you had landed, there were no hostile life forms. In fact, the only life forms were the plants and small critters.
Upon realising that he had no clue what had caused your panicked state, he walked over to you.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked in his gentlest voice, trying not to scare you any further.
“It’s fine, I’m fine.” Your response was strained and he tried not to feel hurt that you were trying to hide your discomfort from him.
“No you’re not, what’s wrong (y/n)?”
There was a pause before you finally spoke, “it’s too much”.
“What’s too much?”
“The noise, it’s too much, it hurts.”
He could tell that you weren’t kidding from the way you were holding yourself and the tears that pricked at the edges of your eyes. However, he was still confused, his hearing was much more sensitive than yours, but the noise wasn’t hurting him. Still, he could worry about that later, right now he needed to get you out of the forest.
“Okay, uh, does putting your hands over your ears help?” You nodded, “okay, do that. Just follow me, yeah? I’ll get you away from the noise.” You nodded again and he started slowly guiding you out of the forest.
Every few steps he would look back to make sure you were still following him, until the two of you eventually made it out of the forest. The Master checked you over once before continuing to lead you to the TARDIS.
Honestly, he was scared, scared that you would blame him for whatever happened; scared that you would want to stop travelling; scared that you would never love him now. Though he was mostly scared that you wouldn’t be okay, and really that was all he wanted for you.
After what seemed like eternity but was really only a half-an-hour walk later, the two of you had made it back to the TARDIS. Pausing and resting his hand on the door, The Master looked over at you; your hands were still firmly over your ears despite the fact that you wouldn’t be able to hear the forest anymore, and your stare was burning a hole into the ground.
When he entered the TARDIS he saw a sofa in the console room that hadn’t been their previously, it had several pillows and a very soft looking yellow blanket on-top of it, as well as the headphones that he had seen you wearing around the TARDIS. You were stood rather awkwardly just inside the doorway, so he gently guided you to sit down on the sofa.
Automatically, you pulled the blanket up around yourself, giving The Master the opportunity to place your headphones on your head. Taking a step back he gazed as your slightly more relaxed form, you hadn’t said a word since the two of you had gotten out of the forest, and he was very worried that you wouldn’t want to speak to him again after this disaster of an idea.
Trying to distract himself from those thoughts, he made his way over to the console and started piloting away from Zacrypso. By the time the TARDIS had landed back in the time vortex, you had fallen asleep, and his heart twinged still hoe adorable you looked snuggled up on the sofa.
Walking as quietly as possible, he left the room and headed towards the kitchen, planning on getting you a drink and something to eat for when you would wake up. Even if you did want to leave after this, he was still going to take care of you.
————
When you woke up a few hours later you were confused and slightly groggy, especially since you were sat on a sofa in the TARDIS console room that had definitely never been there before. Beside you there was a small table with a glass of water and a sandwich placed on it. As you started to look around the room more you noticed that The Master was hunched underneath the console, and from what you could hear he was working on fixing or updating something.
Not wanting to disturb him, you grabbed the glass of water and tried not to think about your sensory overload that had happened earlier. You had known that a surprise trip wasn’t going to be a good idea, but now you were probably going to be kicked off the TARDIS for getting too upset over what was supposed to be a beautiful noise.
When you put the glass down it made more noise than you had anticipated, and The Master looked round to face you, finally noticing that you were awake. He placed down his tools before walking over to you and kneeling in front of where you were sat on the sofa.
“Are you feeling better? Is there anything you need?”
Okay, so that wasn’t exactly what you had been expecting. To be honest, you had been prepared for yelling and insults and tears, so his current behaviour had caught you off guard.
“Uhh, no I’m uh, I’m okay. Thanks.” You gave an awkward little laugh at the end of the sentence.
“Are you sure? I can get you anything you need.” He looked so hopeful that you would ask him to help you out, but at the moment you didn’t really need anything.
“I’m sure, I’m good now.” The smile that you gave him was small but genuine, and you hoped it would bring some comfort to him.
“Oh, okay.” Nodding to himself he stood up, and you expected him to get back to his work, but to your surprise he just sat down on the sofa next to you.
The two of you sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes before you finally gathered the courage to ask him some questions.
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
He looked up at you, seemingly shocked, “What do you mean?”
“It’s just, you hate humans. You think we’re weak and stupid and pathetic - I just thought that you would have taken this opportunity to finally kick me off the TARDIS…” As you spoke you got quieter and quieter, shrinking under his rather intense gaze.
“Yes, humans, but not you - you’re the exception. I could never see you as weak or stupid or pathetic. If anything I thought you’d want to leave because of me.”
“Because of you? Why?”
“Well, I took you to that planet. It’s my fault you got hurt. I should have done more research, to make sure it was 100% human safe. Rassilon, I still haven’t figured out why you were hurting in the first place.” He stood up at the last part and started pacing.
The Master seemed genuinely worried about you, and that was something you had never expected to see.
“It’s uh, it was my fault. I’ve been keeping something from you and if you had known this could have been easily avoided.” He turned to you with a puzzled look on your face but you didn’t let him say anything as you continued on. “I’m autistic, and I know I should have told you, but I just thought you’d see me as weak and you wouldn’t want me to travel with you.”
You were staring down at the floor, now very worried about what might happen. Did he even know what being autistic meant?
“Oh (y/n), I would never have thrown you off the TARDIS for that. I’d never throw you off the TARDIS full stop. And while you are completely right that if you had just told me that you’re autistic none of this would have happened, it was my fault for not making you feel as though you were in a safe enough environment to tell me.” The Master had come to sit next to you again, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything to him.
No one had ever reacted like that when you told them you were autistic, why was it that the psychopathic alien who had committed genocide on multiple occasions was being kinder to you than most people you had known?
“I guess we’re both idiots then.” You chuckled, trying to ease some of the tension. “Next time something like this happens, I’ll tell you as soon as things start to get too much - that way you won’t have to worry about me.”
“I think I’ll be worrying about you anyways, but it would be nice to know when you need my help.” He smiled at you fondly and you found yourself very flustered yet again. Luckily you didn’t have to speak just then, as he continued on. “How about we spend today in the TARDIS watching stupid movies and playing games, and then we get back to committing crimes tomorrow?”
Forcing yourself to look back up at him, you felt a smile form on your face, “that sounds great.”
The Master stood up from the sofa, held his hand out to you and lifted you up as well, not letting go of your hand even as the two of you started walking down one of the corridors.
You finally felt like you had a weight had been lifted off your shoulders after finally telling him one of your secrets. Of course, you still had another secret, and before today’s events you had never even considered telling him of your feelings for him. However, given the way he had taken care of you, you had a little hope that maybe he could like you back.
Still, that was definitely a confession for another day, for now you were just going to enjoy spending time with The Master.

The Master had a habit of staring at you. Whenever he was monologing or generally scheming he would stare at you from wherever he was standing, looking to see all of your facial expressions and reactions. He knew that he should probably be seeing if The Doctor of her companions seemed threatened, but you were so much fun compared to them!
This habit of his escalated to where The Master would separate you from the rest of the group just to hear your opinions on how his current scheme was unfolding. The Master, ever the escalator, then proceeded to kidnap you completely out of the blue. He would always detail his plans to you, even before the kidnapping. But after he started kidnapping you, he would conduct full lectures, hoping for your feedback. The kidnappings, of course, became less focused on plans for world domination and more focused on polite conversion.
This wasn’t a usual kidnapping, however. The Master had stowed you away to a different part of the castle you, The Doctor and her other companions were exploring. He was rough and held you tightly and barely uttered a word in response to your screams of release. Once the two of you were where The Master’s TARDIS was, the alien left you to pace around the room a bit. You were confused. The Master never acted like this before during one of your kidnappings. You had to stay to get to the bottom of what was wrong with him.
The Master finally addressed you after a word with himself. And instead of him complimenting you every five seconds, The Master seemed much more uneasy about what he was doing today. Like there was something he was hiding from you that he was scared that you would find out too quickly if he didn’t mask his emotions. His shoulders were visibly tense and he kept his hands clenched whenever he wasn’t talking with them. He still complimented you, but they were laced with anger and jealousy. You assumed that it was just because of The Doctor, who had grown closer to you since she noticed how much The Master favoured you, but The Master had a quick temper so really he could be upset about anything.
You and The Master talked and teased each other while pacing around the room The Master had brought you to. His mood seemed to lighten when your full attention was solely on him, but he would grow upset again when you mentioned The Doctor. Eventually, he broke and shouted at you.
“I am your Master and you will obey me! No one else!” The Master stomped toward you, leaning in closer than he should have and staring at your lips. This is what always happens when the two of you teased each other, so you continued to tease in order to get The Master to break again. Maybe this time he would actually admit his feelings for you which you always assumed that he had. Maybe that’s what he was hiding? Maybe his feelings made him uneasy? You laughed at The Master and his possessive comment and then strutted away from the Time Lord.
“No! I am loyal to The Doctor. You will never be my Master and I will never do what you want!” You said this with a taunting flare, hoping that The Master would know that you weren’t too serious, but he seemed to be in a non-joking mood today.
“Can we just cut the tension and get to the good stuff?”
“Excuse me?”
“You know. The back-and-forth teasing, the longing gazes, leaning in too close to one another, forgetting that The Doctor even exists as we explore the growing feelings between us. You know, all that good stuff that happens when we are alone together.” The Master bounded toward you dramatically and exuberantly. At least you got your answer, The Master did see the feelings growing between the two of you.
“Is that what really happens between us?” You coyly asked as you walked backwards willing. You knew that there was a wall behind you somewhere. The Master eagerly followed you.
“Yes, that is exactly what happens. And I know that you love it.”
“You can’t know that.” You continued to slowly stalk backwards.
“Oh really? I am a telepath after all. What makes you think that I wouldn’t roam through that pretty little mind of yours, love?”
“Because you like me and you want me to like you. You wouldn’t do something like that without my consent.” Finally, you hit the wall as soon as you said the word ‘consent,’ but The Master continued to move forward until he was practically flushed against you. He looked into your eyes for a long time, probably to search your soul for truth in your statement, but the old Time Lord couldn’t help himself from venturing a gaze at your beautiful lips.
“Kiss me.” The Master whispered, desperation dripping from his voice. You almost couldn’t believe that this was happening. Someone as powerful as The Master, who could take whatever he wanted with ease, was giving you the power in this situation. He had made a demand, yes, but he gave you full control over his emotions and hearts by giving you the option to choose what you were to do next. You would have to make your next move carefully.
“Only if you beg for it.” The Master rolled his eyes but moaned in enjoyment. He quickly covered up his moan with a deep laugh. He couldn’t have you know that he wants you that much. At least not this early in your relationship. He had already given so much away to you.
“You’re fun! I knew that there was a reason why I like you. Despite your idiotic devotion to The Doctor, you aren’t like her other little pets.”
“I thought that you said that you wanted to forget about her?”
“I think that there is only one way to do that, love.” The Master smirked again and this time you joined him in smirking before crashing your lips into his. The Master sighed in relief upon finally feeling your hot mouth against his. Getting needier, The Master held the back of your head firmly and pulled you completely against his chest by his strong arm around your back. You smiled when you felt his already hard cock straining against his plaid trousers. You were certain that this would have gone on much longer if it weren’t for The Doctor shouting for you from a nearby hall. The Master broke away from you angrily.
“Damn it!” The Master growled.
“Leave before she sees us like this. I’ll tell her that you just left me for her to find. You know, just to make her blood boil a bit.” You gently and regretfully tried to push The Master away from you, but he stayed strongly in his spot.
“You better! I want her properly upset given that she so rudely interrupted us.” Despite the urgency of the situation, The Master smiled softly at you like he had never smiled upon you before and then booped your nose with the knuckle of his finger. It was strange seeing him be so loving, but you needed more. The Master whisked himself away dramatically just as you were becoming intoxicated by his presence. He then headed toward his TARDIS, but there was something that you needed to know before he disappeared again.
“Are you going to kidnap me again?” The Master turned back to look at you. He almost seemed shocked by your vulnerability which was a direct contrast to how confident you were minutes before, but he again covered his emotions with a teasing smirk and a wink.
“Only if you beg for it, love.”
“Please kidnap me again, Master.” You wanted him to know that this was more than just a game to you.
“I’ll kidnap you in the most extravagantly beautiful way, my love.” To your shock, The Master bowed to you to highlight his statement.
“Now hurry before she finds us!” The Master blew you a kiss in a final farewell and disappeared into the warmth of his TARDIS. Moments later, the ship dematerialized, but you could feel The Master’s promise to you wafting through the air. This, most definitely, was not the last time you would be seeing The Master.
My 1 single critism rn is how they kept refering to the Doctor as Male? Or like implying a weird gender binary in the same breath as talking about non-binary identity
It waw... a bit cringe. Like it was clearly trying very hard and it was a good attempt. But there was something a bit cringe about it yknow. The vibes were not quite there.
The ending especially was giving your parent trying very hard to use the right words, and you appreciate it!! but god you can tell theyre not quite getting it 😭😭

You strode out of your room in an excited manner, while dressed in the beautiful outfit that The Master chose for you to wear to the masquerade ball he was “invited to”. You say “invited to” loosely. The Master had hypnotised his way into getting invited by the monarch of one of the most powerful planets in the galaxy he was trying to take over, and he made sure to include a necessary plus one on his invitation. The Master hadn’t been able to take you to any majestically royal locations since the two of you began travelling together, so The Master was incredibly excited about getting to take you to this masquerade ball. However, he also had work to do. So, unfortunately, The Master couldn’t just spend all of his time dancing with you.
You walked into the console room of The Master’s TARDIS with your expensive-looking shoes in your hand. You sat yourself down on a nearby sofa and stared, amazed, at The Master dressed in his equally extravagant outfit while he piloted his beloved ship to the desired destination. It was similar in colour and design to your own dress, making The Master’s intent plainly obvious. You were already aware of The Master’s possessive nature, but the thought of The Master purposefully matching your outfits with each other so everyone who saw the two of you knew that the both of you were together made you laugh. To you, this act was cute, not a silent threat by The Master. Though, killing his ego my calling The Master’s behaviour cute wasn’t on the cards for the day. You knew that this gathering was important for your alien host and his plans.
“You clean up nice. You actually look quite handsome minus the blood, engine grease and soot.” You finished tieing up your fancy shoes and sent a sarcastic wink to The Master. He only rolled his eyes in response. If anyone else said something like that to him, with that attitude, he would have killed them, but you were the beautiful exception.
“I’m going to take what you said as a compliment. However, I think I look quite sexy covered in all of those things. Especially the blood.”
“That remains to be seen. You never let me see you right after you destroyed a planet, remember? The only blood I see you covered in is the blood you missed washing away in the shower.” The Master stopped double and triple checking his plans and looked you up and down. You looked absolutely stunning in the dress he had picked for you; The Master wished that you would wear more clothes that he had picked out for you. However, The Master was growing much more interested in seeing you in nothing whatsoever. Or even seeing you in more intimate clothing he picked out for you.
“Well, if you promise to not argue about how many innocent people I just killed, then maybe we could have a very interesting night in the future. Maybe even tonight?” The Master smirked at you, but you ignored him.
“Not tonight. You said that you actually have to make these people like you, remember? For your ingenious plan to take over this galaxy’s gem mining and trading industries?” The Master sighed defeatedly. Sometimes he wished to not have to go through with some of his plans, not out of a sudden spark of moral righteousness, but more out of a hatred for social gatherings and nosy people.
“Oh right. That. Don’t get me wrong, I love treating you to the most beautiful of treasures found in this universe, love, but I hate talking to people.”
The Master bowed his head in stress. Through this plan of his, The Master planned on collecting many precious gems to both save and sell. Then he could take you to beautiful places and get you expensive things without having to steal or manipulate all the time. You also, through the many weeks of The Master planning this outing, had convinced The Master to eventually free the overworked “workers” of the mines once he took over and destroyed them. All of these plans were directly reliant upon The Master successfully integrating himself within the royal court of the Azuuill galaxy. If he wasn’t able to do that, then all of this was a waste.
You bounded up to where The Master was leaning against The TARDIS console. You rubbed his back soothingly and placed your chin on his shoulder.
“But you love manipulating people, and hypnotising them, so just remind yourself that you get to do that while having to suffer through all the schmoozing.”
“I do love those things. You know me so well, my little Human.” The Master peered over at you sentimentally. His eyes flickered down to your lips, but you, unfortunately, didn’t notice.
“Care to escort your date to the court of Azuuill, Master?” You separated yourself from The Master and smiled warmly as you held your hand out for him to take.
“I wouldn’t dream of doing anything else, love.” The Master jovially took your hand, and kissed the back of it softly, before leading you out into the alien palace.
The palace and the ballroom were amazing. The whole building was constructed in expensive-looking marble. But a very alien marble; dark navy with rivers of electric blue spiralling through the stone. There were also large pillars everywhere. And there were solid gold vines and leaves snaking around every surface. It looked like something out of a fairy world or a fantasy novel and you were in awe of its beauty.
The Master lead you through seas of people and gestured around wildly gloating about all of the people and their status in the Universe. When you weren’t distracted by the decor of the palace, you saw the eyes of the guests glare at The Master. Though, a glimmer of something unknown would flash across their faces whenever they would catch a glimpse of you. You had no idea what to make of either of their reactions, so you never brought it up to The Master.
The Master, after showing you the entire space of the ballroom, eventually went off to talk to someone important while you relaxed by an open window. Your intent was to catch a short breath because there were tons of people crammed into the dance hall. However, a group of people rushed to talk to you as soon as you were alone. You did talk to the group as a whole for a bit until one of the people asked to dance with you. You agreed, again trying to appear friendly and exuberant for The Master’s sake and for the sake of his plans.
Once the song ended, you tried to return to your spot by the window in order to wait for The Master, but another person asked to dance with you. With each new song that played throughout the ballroom, a new person would ask to dance with you. You agreed every time, excited about the opportunity to meet various types of alien species and hopefully, the experiences would encourage a business deal with The Master. Eventually, though, you were able to return to the window for a breather. The Master then huffed his way over to you from where he was sulking in a dark corner.
“Why are you so upset?” You asked as he slumped against you.
“Upset! I’m not upset, I’m completely embarrassed. No one is paying attention to me! Their eyes are all on you and I am getting no work done”
“Well, I’m having fun. Why don’t we dance, Master? It might lighten your mood.”
“How about we get some food and drinks first? My anger has made me a bit light-headed.” The Master tapped his forehead four times in a row. You assumed that he did this subconsciously, but you thought that The Master’s Drums were making themselves more annoying by the moment. You went along with The Master’s preference; you loved trying new alien foods and drinks. The Master nodded to you sadly before walking off to get you both some food and you waited patiently for his return by staring out at the interesting landscape of the planet.
You had thought that The Master had returned when you saw someone approach you out of the corner of your eye, but the stranger who stopped before you and stared at you with unblinking eyes was not The Master. They were a tall, extremely thin person with greasy-looking black hair tied in the back to form a low ponytail.
“You are Y/n, aren’t you?” Their voice was slick and dark like ink and, frankly, made you uncomfortable to have to listen to. But you chose to remain polite. You had no idea who the person before you was or if The Master had connections with them and therefore needed to be appeased.
“Yes. May I ask why?”
“I have heard so much about you because of my guests and The Master. You truly are a wonder!” The person smirked at you with a toothy smile. You then recognised who this person was! They were the ruler of this planet and owner of this castle who The Master was talking to earlier in the night.
“Oh! You must be Monarch Alecx Belgoze, the host of this party.”
“Yes, I am.” The monarch looked incredibly smug upon seeing you recognize him, but it might have just been a momentary burst of ego.
“This party is absolutely brilliant. I have never been to a party this extravagant before.” You stated this because it was true. But the monarch to your eagerness as an opportunity to step closer to you, much closer than you expected or were comfortable with.
“If I were your partner, I would throw a party much grander than this every night in your honour.” You could smell the blackberry wine on their breath. You had no idea how to react to the first part of the monarch’s comment. It was nice to hear such a thing, but you had no interest in the person before you, except to help The Master with his plan. And their forwardness was beginning to worry you. You looked around to the food table in the hope that The Master was there, but he was nowhere to be seen.
“Oh, that’s not - Master! Thank you so much for the food.” The Master finally returned to you with the snacks and drinks. But he didn’t come from the direction of the food table. You assumed that he was stalking around the monarch before making a move to save you. The Master looked incredibly upset, but you decided to not question him in front of a stranger. You did that once before and The Master sulked in his room for days after the fact.
“Monarch Belgoze, I thought that you would be dancing.” The Master questioned while placing the alien food and drink on the window sill. You could hear the strain in his voice, he was more upset than initially thought, but you decided to pay more attention to the food you desperately wanted to eat and let The Master deal with the alien encounters.
“Well, I was, but I saw a better dance partner off the dance floor.” The monarch dripped out a response.
“You must be referring to your betrothed? Correct?” The Master retorted snarkily.
“No, they weren’t able to make it tonight, I’m afraid. Anyway! Y/n, are you having a good night?” The alien monarch dramatically cut off The Master and turned his attention back to you, again stepping closer.
“Yes, I am.” You ventured a warry look at The Master, who looked like he was going to pop a blood vessel.
“May I say that you look absolutely stunning!” The monarch reached a ringed hand out to touch your waist.
“Oh, thank you! The Master got me this dress actually. He has amazing taste.” You felt incredibly awkward because of the monarch’s actions, but you had no idea what the customs of their planet were. You didn’t want to risk ruining The Master’s plans just because you didn’t understand.
“If you so desired, I would love to take you somewhere … more private…” The monarch leaned incredibly close to your face.
“Okay … Time to go!” The Master grabbed you by the arm and quickly pulled you out of the monarch’s grasp and through the crowd back to The TARDIS.
“But what about the masquerade!” You shouted in a worried tone.
“We can dance later!”
