This was my home before it was destroyed🤍.

I live with my father and my younger brother Khaled. Khaled completed his studies in Accounting and works with my father. My father used to own a workshop for aluminum manufacturing, and our lives were relatively stable despite the challenges we faced.

This is my home after it was destroyed💔.

But the war did not spare us. In an instant, everything we owned was destroyed. Our home, my university, which I considered a refuge, and my father's workshop, which was our source of income, were all gone. We were forced to flee from northern Gaza and found ourselves living in a school in the Al-Zawayda area, trying to adapt to our new reality.

The killing of dreams and aspirations 💔.

This is my younger brother Khaled. He finished his university studies and was aspiring to continue his education and earn a master's degree 💪. But the war shattered his dream when his university was destroyed 🏫💔.

Despite everything I have been through, I have not lost hope. I know I must start over, but this time not alone. I want to help my family build a new life and achieve the dreams I have not given up on. To do this, I need your support. and hamas? testimonies from israeli hostages have been consistent from the start: they are not harmed, mistreated, or tortured. food and medical attention was provided as their captors were able to provide it (the lack of food is directly a consequence of the blockade on gaza). they are returned from 50+ days of being held hostage - a harrowing, traumatizing ordeal, obviously - but they've returned in good form, flying in the face of (and frankly upstaging) every piece of israeli, american, and western propaganda churned out.

“In 2004 I worked as an intern in Newsweek and had to go through the wires coming in from the Middle East.

The Iraq war was raging. Israel was committing its routine violations and killings.

The images were devastating and unequivocally condemning of both the USA and Israel, but I remember the editors would reject all my picks and demand images of burnt cars or vague images of destruction.

So I brought a hard drive and collected everything they didn't publish.

It was my first live glimpse of the lack of ethics or integrity in most US media.

Not the journalists on the ground, but of the senior editors making the calls - in their self important glass cubicles.

And no, to the cynics out there..it's not all too complicated to discuss on social media.

Social media is the only reason we know what's happening in Palestine.

And the only reason mainstream news has to keep up and sprinkle some actual news now and then.

Meanwhile we are seeing much less footage coming out of Gaza - Israel has been killing off all the journalists.

Hello 🫂

I am Bilal from Gaza. I have experienced many hardships since the beginning of displacement within my country. When the danger for us increased, we moved from place to place in search of safety, but we did not leave Gaza. We took refuge in the south after a long suffering of 150 days, where destruction and exhaustion were our companions at every step.

With great difficulty, some members of my family and I were able to leave for Egypt. Getting here was a safe stop, but the journey was far from over. Our hearts are still in Gaza, where we left behind our loved ones and most of our family amidst difficult circumstances.

We did everything we had to leave Gaza, but the challenges did not end here. We are now struggling to obtain residency in Egypt and everything seems expensive and costly, even the basics of living. Despite all this, we are trying to adapt to the situation, hoping to find the stability we seek, and our hearts remain attached to the homeland and to our people who are still there.

In these difficult circumstances, I hope to receive your support through the GoFundMe donation campaign. Every contribution, however small, helps me and my family to overcome this difficult stage and cover our basic needs until we settle in a safe place.
