🎨 As part of Their Majesties’ Coronation celebrations, The King commissioned five artists to capture some of the most significant moments of the weekend.

The artworks were completed over a number of months before being presented to His Majesty at Clarence House in September 2024.

Last week, The Queen sat down with veteran Douglas Cracknell at Clarence House ahead of #VEDay80 commemorations.

Douglas was awarded the Legion d’Honneur for his service during the Second World War, when he served as a rifleman in the 5th Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.

Her Majesty’s father, Major Bruce Shand, was also a veteran and received the Military Cross twice for his actions at Dunkirk and in North Africa.

How come, a prince followed such punk like me?

Royalty is about embracing diversity, and I'm thrilled to support someone as bold and talented as you.

This week, we celebrated the indomitable spirit of the extraordinary Second World War generation. We will never forget.
