"Let us remember those who will not come back, their constancy and courage in battle, their sacrifice and endurance in the face of a merciless enemy: let us remember the men in all the Services and the women in all the Services who have laid down their lives"
Attending today's VE Day 80th anniversary service at Westminster Abbey was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who served. An honour to mark this historic moment and give thanks alongside veterans and families.

🇬🇧🌳🇸🇪 In the sunny grounds of Windsor Castle, The King and Queen were joined by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden in planting a Swedish oak (Quercus robur) tree to celebrate Their Majesties’ Coronation.
The tree was gifted by The King of Sweden from the Royal Nursery at Solliden Palace, the Swedish Royal Family’s summer residence.
During the planting, The King of Sweden used a spade first used by his great grandfather King Gustaf V in 1908 when he planted an oak tree at Windsor with King Edward VII.
How come, a prince followed such punk like me?

Bingo! 🤹✍️🍻
The Duchess of Edinburgh has joined a ‘full house’ (!) of Chelsea Pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for an evening of Bingo!
Tuesday night Bingo is a cherished activity amongst the Pensioners, helping to alleviate loneliness, promote mental wellbeing and strengthen the sense of community within the home of the army veterans.
This year's Mental Health Awareness Week, we are celebrating humanity's longstanding connection to nature, and its capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body and spirit.
As we confront the challenges of an increasingly complex and digital world, the importance of the connection between humanity and nature takes on even more significance.
The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other. C

Douglas was awarded the Legion d’Honneur for his service during the Second World War, when he served as a rifleman in the 5th Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.
Her Majesty’s father, Major Bruce Shand, was also a veteran and received the Military Cross twice for his actions at Dunkirk and in North Africa.
