happy pride month! starting it with jeckole

went to pride today and this was my thought exactly😭 people were getting along no matter what they looked like, who they were with, or what they identified as.

Everyone was having a great time, kids were running around getting their faces painted, and the performers were wonderful. I saw a group of teenagers wearing parts of fursuits and everyone was chill about it. Honestly it gives me a lot of hope for tolerance and peace in the future that I rarely have nowadays.

had my morning coffee and getting ready to head out for volunteering. here are today's thoughts. i went to pride yesterday with my partner and friends and as soon as the parade started and lesbians on motorcycles started passing through, i thought to myself "man. online discourse is so fucking stupid. this shit rocks and i love gay people" there were gnc people and drag artists and people making out and puppyplay masks and leather and things like microidentites or what slurs people could use didnt matter at all, because we were all united by our shared experiences of being gay and queer. it was so fun :-)

genuinely LOVE this movie. I think it pertains to modern day trad wife shit Ngl. Or how women are expected to throw things to the side to comfort their partner. The sex obsessed cult witch man is also another symbol for the patriarchy and how it encourages women to be uber sexual for the benefit of men under the guise of female empowerment. The way the two blonde sister dance in front of a crowd of men for them to see and it’s framed as empowerment. The men in the crowd don’t respect these women dancing, they want to dominate them. It’s not empowering to dangle meat in front of lions. Omg so much stuff to talk about. Movie is fantastic and I’m referencing Wayne in the first part and giliad (I think that’s his name) in the second part. What do y'all think???
