Tonight I’m thinking about how in the original lyrics for Here Today the lyrics weren't even "if you were here today" they were "if you were here with me" but Paul crossed it out ...

am I CRAZY or does the John/Paul “were they in love???” Conversation feel embedded into the Beatles history at this point? You literally C A N N O T tell this story without including this element. To exclude it at this point in time feels totally irresponsible.
