i didn't make the carrd, but it's one of the most useful links right now. #JunkTerrorBillNow needs the most urgency, but there are other issues present too.
i'm begging you all to reblog.

[image description: a digital painting of an indigenous girl water-bending on a plain brown background. she has brown skin and black straight hair. her shirt and headband are hide with blue and red accents, she wears a cedar cape and grass skirt and has blue and white leg-warmers. she is bending water around her and seems to be spinning with one hand in the air and one foot behind her as though she is midstep]
i’ve been thinking about how cool it would be if the avatar universe had more characters and nations based on indigenous peoples, (like the sun warriors and the water tribe were), so i decided to make some of my own:
i call this character stótelō (stah-tuh-lo), she’s a salish water bender.
wait, puki, did you attack pikachu?
Back when I was in seventh grade, I took mixed martial arts classes, I was aggressive and rambunctious and it was a great outlet. I learned how to take down someone by bending their wrist a certain way. Anyways, I used that power on a kid I didn’t like cause he had the same name as me. I felt like God, and I never learned any lesson. The end.
oh my god, the smell of hair bleach
you, broke: I did a ton of research on geography and climate to design an extremely accurate and highly realistic fantasy map
me, woke: In this fantasy universe I wrote the sun actually does revolve around the earth even though that makes no sense, because I thought it sounded cool
when i first learned of the term "afab" i thought it meant "all females are bastards" and DIDN'T EVEN QUESTION IT
there is a young man.
standing on a grassy hill, his jacket flutterring in the wind.
his back is to me.
but i can see his love for life in the way he spreads his arms,
welcoming the wind in his embrace, as though it were an old friend.
he is far away.
though i hear his laughter, full of joy and mirth.
perhaps he, too, is learning to smile anew.
happy anniversary to the scenes I haven’t stopped thinking about
