my estimation is that the reason the calls for global strike tomorrow (dec 12th) seem uncoordinated is because they're coming from inside palestine and were shared by palestinians inside palestine instead of being organized independently by each country. they seem most focused within the west bank and jordan.
however, we've seen a lot of people worldwide take up this call and several organizers within the US and other countries do it in their own way. one of the primary asks is to just disrupt the global market. if you can't call in sick and must go to work, then don't use your credit card tomorrow. some have said don't log into facebook and instagramβsure. that too. if you can participate in protests after work instead, do that. if you are not an essential worker, if you can shut down a store, and bookstore, if you have a small business, make sure to let people know you are not working because you are striking for palestine. if you're a student and you can, don't go to class. if you're a teacher and you can, call in sick. if you have exams (as many do) you can just refrain from buying anything, join a protest after, or share the boycott news. one student not showing up may not do muchβthree students not showing up reminds people that there's a strike. talking about it, even if you won't participate in it, helps. talking about it, even just to say "oh there's supposed to be a strike today" helps.
it is a flexible form of disruption. the priority is disrupting businesses and the flow of commerce, so more than not going to work, not using your credit card is far more important.
consider this a trial run in disruption on behalf of those inside palestine. yes bigger and more organized global strikes that can coordinate with local groups are needed. but small chain reactions like this also create disruption, increase pressure, and remind people that the genocide is on-going. they also build up to bigger and more sustained strikes.

making a list of all of the fundraisers of people who have reached out to me directly on here in order to have them all in one place. all of them have either been vetted by other users or i verified them personally by checking their other social media accounts (like twitter or instagram) to confirm. everyone here definitely needs support, a lot of their family members are injured or in need of medical care that is not available in gaza. i am also linking their tumblr accounts so that you can follow them to keep up with their campaigns.

They get over a thousand requests for connection a day, but their email inbox is regularly sitting at 300-500 eSims. With the bombardment of Rafah and continual internet blackouts, the need for more eSims is particularly urgent.
Even if you have already sent an eSim or donated to an eSim donation drive, there is more you can do. The team is calling for people to campaign in their communities to help spread the word about eSims and encourage donations.
You can help by printing out posters and putting them up in local businesses, on telephone poles and notice boards, or wherever people are likely to see them.
[ID: Poster headed βeSIMs for Gazaβ with an illustration of a red poppy, a QR code, and a link to tinyurl.com/gaza-esims; copy reads βSending eSIMs is an immediate, concrete way to help Gazans on the ground. Scan below to learn how you can get involved.β End ID]
(For a black and white flyer on A4 / 8.5 x 11" printer paper, just print out the black and white poster: the extra white margin space won't matter.)
Or make your own poster, pamphlet, or protest sign with one of these QR codes:
My heart is heavy as I write this urgent plea. My family in Gaza is facing unimaginable danger, and I'm desperate to get them to safety. The situation is dire, with each passing moment feeling more precarious than the last.
We've already taken steps towards evacuation, but we're not there yet. We need your help to bridge the gap and ensure the safety of my loved ones. Every donation, every share, every act of kindness brings us one step closer to reuniting my family and giving them the chance to rebuild their lives in peace.
Please, I implore you, give generously and share this message far and wide. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
