literally how hard would it have been for jkr to say something like “listen I was writing it in the 90s, I was inexperienced, I was writing from my own point of view, I didn’t realise how underrepresented a lot of people are, I wasn’t thinking about anything other than the plot, I accept that it’s a little sparse on the diversity front, I can try to be more self aware with my future works” etc etc instead of.. this nonsense
Sometimes I just wanna drink glue and stop breathing
You discover that you're an almost exact replica of another person and have only existed for the last six months. One year ago, the original person died, and the family decided to use DNA and AI technology to create you: a physically identical body to the deceased with their memories downloaded into your head. You were never meant to find out that you're not a true human and your only real memories are of the past half a year. The government long ago banned this type of tech. If anyone finds out you exist, you'll be exterminated. Concealing the truth becomes a lot harder when you discover that your significant other is secretly part of a government agency that deals with regulating (i.e. getting rid of) outlawed, advanced tech.

Remember when someone on tumblr would post a rhetorical question like “I wonder why all us neurodivergent people love the rain so much” and someone would make up some garbage like “well you see rain carries negative particles (which is why you get depressed if you drink rainwater) and since neurodivergent people are depressed the negative particles feel natural to them uwu” and everyone would be like “thanks science side of tumblr”
i think the best thing about gen z is their dedication to self care and by this i mean when john mulaney performed at a college and he took a sip of water the crowd would start applauding and someone yelled at him “hydrate before you die-drate” therefor confusing an already confused man even more
i know gays joke about the intimacy of hand touching and eye contact and whatever all the time and i love those jokes dearly but i think we’re all obsessed with these small barely visible gestures of love & closeness because bigger gestures ultimately make us targets for homophobia…like we want stories where gays gently touch hands at the train station or gaze at each other longingly or hug just a little too long etc because they reflect our real life experiences & usually those are the only kinds of public transgressions gay people are able to safely engage in. and sometimes not even that. sometimes a glance is enough to make you a target. sometimes you walk into a room and you’re a target. you know what i mean. gay intimacy is relegated to these infinitesimal moments because it is not allowed to exist otherwise. anyways im in a mood

In every alternate dimension of Earth, a different religion is real and those deities actually exist. All religions that people believe in are valid- just perhaps not in their dimension. An interdimensional traveler goes to our dimension and is stunned to see that our Earth has no 'real' religion. Rather, it is the spawning point for the religions of the other dimensions.
