The adoration! The devotion! The light in their eyes! I literally can't even handle it š!!!!
I love how different One Piece Live Action is to the anime because you can actually see in their eyes when everyone falls in love with Luffy. Like absolutely deeply madly in love with him.
We're reading Frankenstein in my college lit class and the topic of the creature's appearance came up. We were arguing about whether or not he was truly hideous. Some of us thought he looked relatively normal, but with scary eyes and some scarring while others thought he looked more like your stereotypical zombie.
My professor had this to say about the monster's appearance:
"Imagine the most handsome man you can think of. Someone who is well known for being conventionally attractive. That man is now dead, and his head is carefully sewn onto another dead man's torso. All his new body parts are proportionate, but his skin- which has been decaying for who knows how long- has lost all its luster and turned to a yellowish tint. His watery eyes are an unnatural shade of yellow. And he's towering over you at 8ft tall. Is he still handsome?"
You're right and you should say it louder š
i know a lot of people didnāt really like opla zoroās characterization but it honestly reminded me a lot of the filler episode where he met jonny and yosaku (im upset that didnāt make it into the live action š) as well as the filler where the seahorse stole their memories to become a millennial dragon (i know a lot of people skip filler tho šš½š)
spoilers for pretime skip if you havenāt watched it yet !
but in a grander scheme of things i think it would honestly be so amazing and heartbreaking at the same time if we watched zoro learn to open up towards the crew over the course of logue town - sabaody only to see him come back more closed off after the events of thriller bark - marine ford (i kinda see chopper as being that character that really allows us to see a softer side of zoro i mean heās the main character we genuinely get to see his big brother/care giver energy with)
it would also be similar to robin started off closed off when she first joined the crew post alabasta and we see her start to open up because of the events of enies lobby (OH i think it would also be a good contrast between robin and zoro as well because weād see how easily he has become open with the crew members heās already been with while still have this āi need to protect them from herā i think it may come off stronger in the live action im also referring to skypeia here, i also wonder if theyāll have nami be slower to trust robin as well) idk im just existed to see what changes they may or may not make to how the characters interact im personally not watching the live action or even the anime to be a perfect one for one adaptation of the manga i think thatād be a bit boring for me personally š¤øš½āāļø
i can definitely see them taking that kind of approach of the live action gets that far and i think itād make a lot of since from a character perspective

Really funny to watch dude bros struggle to explain how Agatha All Along is bad without being overtly homophobic, sexist, or racist.
I've decided not to engage with the outside world anymore. If you need me I will be curled up in a ball in my nest hibernating. Wake me up in about 4 years when the tides may turn again. I'll be ready.
In May I worked on touching up my acrylic paintings. Here's my first attempt at the NĆøkken sitting in a still body of water playing his fiddle.
I wanted to show the sheer scale of the creature compared to the average height of people in the Victorian era, so I drew my take on Victor! And, yes, I did use TimothƩe Chalamet as a reference because no matter what Guillermo del Toro would have me believe, Victor Frankenstein is a skinny, dehydrated college rat in my mind (this was intended as a complement to TimothƩe I truly think he would crush this role).
It's him!!! ā¤ļø
Pro tip sometimes if a drawing just aināt hitting right you can add a buttload of effects layers on top until itās adequate š
This is one of my favorite paintings I've done.
These are Huldra or Hulderfolk from Scandinavian folklore. Hulderfolk are seductive forest spirits and their name translates loosely to "hidden" or "secret". They're said to look like normal women with the only difference being the hole in their back that resembles a hollowed tree and the long cow-like tail which they hide under their skirts. If you encounter a Huldra and treat her with respect, she will be very helpful (sharing the best fishing spots or tending to your charcoal kiln), but mistreat her and the punishment will be severe (being beaten to death with her tail or taken into the mountains never to be seen again).
More of Adam and Evelyn! Loved drawing out these cute little interactions between them. It gave me time to work on their difference in size and hone in on facial features. Hope you guys like them!
