indie julius ivo robotnik. a villain, well, depending on who you ask. neither games nor movie canon, but a secret third thing (my own). 21+. heavily mature themes inside. studied by wilhelm. carrd.
one of the best rp feelings in the world is when someone makes a tag for ur char/ship its like youve earned a little place with them and their portrayal of their character whether its an oc or canon and its so pure and good
"How can you like these very toxic and horrible characters that have done despicable and unforgivable things?" oh it's quite simple actually, this is fiction and I think with my dick.
Came because my interest was piqued seeing you on my dash. Stayed because of your unique portrayal and amazing in depth characterization of the character you've brought to the table. Letting the villain be a villain. The amazing lore behind the character really has me coming back to read it over and over again. Also the mun , ive had nothing but amazing interactions with too.
thank you once again kris, your words never fail to leave me pleasantly stunned and smiling like a doofus.
i'm glad you find julius' lore amazing, that really touches my heart. at times i wonder if maybe i'm doing 'too much' with his backstory & his powers. but then i remember this is my blog & i make the rules dammit. it really reaffirms my thoughts to know that other people also enjoy his lore and his abilities. >w<
as always, i enjoy our convos. looking forward to chatting more via discord with ya. ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗
Big fan of Lee's "Stone might also be an orphan", but I always thought how insane it would be if Stone did have a family, a big one, he just chose Robotnik.
Can you imagine? The one abandoned by his own family being CHOSEN above somebody else's family? That'd be...the poetic cinema, truly.
🕯️
imad. a pillar. he's... swiftly become everything that fuels me, and everything that terrifies me. what a horror: to have someone to lose. not again. never. again. i will protect him with every atom in my being. damn the consequences, damn the masses. i need HIM.
....i can only hope that i'm worthy.
obviously some of these inspire more than others, but they're all facets i try and keep in mind to some degree whenever i write for julius. if i feel up to it i may elaborate more on why these characters specifically inspire my portrayal of julius. it's hard to get my thoughts together to properly explain stuff like that in depth tho because i always worry i'm not expressing myself well enough.
stone was staring up at julius like julius had grown seven extra heads. he supposed that made sense, if this was stone's first time experiencing flight via chaos energy. though, julius was instinctively aware of stone's gaze lingering on his eyes. ah, great.
"i, uh, i was looking for you. it worked." ⸻ w h A t ⸻ his brain short-circuited. in fact he was so shocked by this that julius' grip on stone's arm slipped and stone started falling away.
he scrambled, diving down after him and catching stone properly this time, by grabbing him and lifting him so that way julius was holding him flush against him. he exhaled, mumbling, "if you say so." he's avoiding looking directly at stone, a light flush coating his face. "let's get you to the ground." & julius starts to descent then, before landing and letting stone go, stepping back from him.
"there. no risk of you falling and becoming a splat on the ground." an ungloved hand moves to run through his hair. julius exhales, boot shifting along the dirt beneath him. "⸻i sensed chaos energy, earlier. that was you?"
well it definitely had worked, as when stone reappeared he was in a different place entirely but also... wait. he was falling?? he in fact was falling and could feel himself plummeting towards the ground at an almost alarming rate. why had he been brought to the literal sky and not the ground??
as he fell however he swore for a brief moment he saw robotnik, flying in the air like some damn bird might but that wasn't possible... right? people just didn't fly, but his brief thought was only confirmed when he feels something grab him and a sharp pain erupt in the upper part of his arm right after.
though he soon forgot about the pain when he realized he was no longer free falling, as the only thing he could focus on was how he had been saved by him, and... no way. his eyes were glowing? not only was this man flying, but his eyes were glowing an intense crimson that made stone feel very small beneath the man's gaze. then he hears the man speak, and his voice was just the same as it was all those years ago. in fact, he hadn't changed at all, it seemed.
fucking speak, stone!
"I uh, I was looking for you," he finally says as the initial shock wore off, and he managed to catch his breath despite the pain from being only held by the arm soon coming back into his mind. "it worked."
“You alright?” From such a sharp edged person as Snively, it’s almost painfully endearing how earnest the question is. “Need anything?” Anything *I* can provide, when you have your creations and your alternate dimensional dopplegangers and assistants-turned-lovers at your service? What can family that’s separated by a whole dimension and told all his life he’s lacking, do? //unlackeyed
⸻ the question stills him. it stills him and stirs a hollow cold rage within his chest. not at colin. never at colin. just, the words. 'you alright'. no.
he had not been 'alright' since he was 8.
"need anything?"
julius simply stares across at colin. uncertain on how to answer in a way that wouldn't concern or frighten him. yes, he needs. that rage in him has no outlet. that violent need has no release. he knows if he voices such thoughts, he'll be told not to act on them. how wrong they are. how misguided. how there's a better way. how one shouldn't give into their darkness, their demons.
what if it wasn't a darkness, or demons. what if it was just HIM? period, all he'd ever be, no matter what he tried.
"....not particularly," he settles on, then adds, "but.... thank you, for your concern."
