I’ve been wanting to post the fan character of mine for a while on here. However, I wanted to wait until I had somewhat of a proper profile for this character so people would know what purpose she serves in my headcanon of the HA! universe. So anyway, Here’s what I have for her profile so far. I most likely will edit this profile slightly every now and then if I notice I forgot something or made a typo. Either way, this is what I have so far.
Name: Debora Winifred Blaney
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Birth Date: November 24th, 1987
Eye Color: Greenish blue
Height: I suppose around the height of Helga, but I can’t be too sure because we don’t have canon heights for these kids. I have so far 4’7 for 9, 4′8 for 11, 5′ for 12, 5′3 for 15, 5’4 ½ for 17 and onward. I just went with my heights throughout my life. I only hope one day somebody can measure and headcanon the heights of Arnold and the gang.
Family: Loanne Winifred Blaney(mom), Elias Nathaniel Blaney (dad), and Molly Belloma Blaney (younger sister by 7 years)
MBTI/Enneagram Personality Type: INFP 4w5
Strengths: Polite, kind, creative, empathetic, pacifist, idealistic, passionate, encyclopedic knowledge of specific topics she enjoys, loyal, honest, a good listener, and tries to see the good in people despite her past experiences.
Weakness: Her Asperger’s syndrome, tends to stim when overemotional, sensitive to criticism, shy, tend to obsess over the things she loves, prone to being moody, doesn’t have a good hold on her intense emotions, nonconfrontational, cynical, difficult to get to know, she finds it hard to trust people despite trying to be open-minded, tend to have a fight/flight response (which she mostly chooses flight), is a bit cowardly, has trouble reading subtle social cues (for example, when somebody is truly interested in her conversation or just waiting for her to shut up), Sets high standards for herself to compensate for her mental illness, tends to be brutally honest which leads her to be accidentally insensitive, and overly apologetic.
Likes: Drawing in her sketchbooks, reading (comics, manga, and regular books), creating new words with the names of people that she assumes are a couple or she personally thinks could be a good match (for example, Helga + Arnold = Gnarled Halo), musicals, Greek mythology (or mythology in general), flowers (cherry blossoms, lilies, lilacs, or any flower that fits symbolically in a situation), Chinese zodiac, Greek astrology, astronomy, whatever the equivalent D&D in Ha! is (Kings Rule doesn’t count, that’s more of a Magic: the gathering type of game), video games, daydreaming, talking about theories, brainstorming story ideas, and Yo Ernest!
Dislikes: Loud crowds, people seeing as well as laughing at her when she stims, liars, being pinned down, disappointing people she cares about, her social anxiety, her struggle of understanding people’s true intentions due to her poor observation of subtle social cues, her fear of people are just waiting to see her fail, being talked down to once people find out about her condition, being touched/hugged by people she isn’t close to or she didn’t initiate, people assuming she is smart when she really isn’t; she’s just passionate about certain topics, revealing her elf-like ears, and math.
Favorite colors: Lilac and vermilion
Favorite animal: Hedgehogs, cats, and rabbits
Bio: Debora was a small-town girl from Tennessee that moved to Hillwood at the age of 5. She had no real ties to the place though except for her love the starry skies and all the wildflowers that grew there. Her parents decided to homeschool her at the age of 4 due to her being bullied for being different and annoying in preschool. For example, her last encounter with the group of kids that bullied her; chased her until she tripped, pinned her down, and pretended they were going to beat her with a big stick just to scare her. She doesn’t meet Arnold and the gang until the age of 11. Before that, she watched them from a distance behind her home window. However, their first, true encounter didn’t work out because Debora couldn’t take being laughed at due to a stimming incident reminiscent of the head hitting that Arnold did in his “I’m Crazy” number, only no music this time. Arnold tried to convince her that his friends were sorry and that they didn’t mean to make her sad. Debora was too afraid to try again though. Debora’s mother had her join the Campfire Lasses for a while to help with her social skills. She still kept tabs with Arnold through letters. She appeared to be making progress and had slightly better control of herself. Her birthday of 2001 however, something happened that made Debora question if she was even good enough to be friends with anybody. Would she always be too weird for people that they will never accept all of her, especially the ugly parts? She quit the Campfire Lasses at age 14; her heart just wasn’t in it anymore.
However, at the age of 15, due to events beyond her control, she had to go to public school so she can be accepted to colleges around Hillwood for they did not accept homeschoolers. Lucky for her, the school she could go to was PS118. Unlucky for her, Arnold wasn’t around to help her fit in with the sophomore class. With no one to help her fit in, she decides it would be best to just not to try at all. She’ll be polite in any way she can in hopes that people will notice her kindness, but she will not make the first move. She’s tired of being betrayed by people that claim that they want to be friends with her only to be abandoned the next day. Although, deep down she knew that this method wouldn’t work and people would be too caught up in their own groups to notice her. Besides, she needed all that time to work on her homework anyway.
However, due to some weird twist of fate, Debora somehow finds herself interacting with Edmund of all people at a party she didn’t even want to go to that Rhonda gave her an invitation to. Rhonda clearly only gave her it because Debora was a part of her class, just a plain, obligatory, pity invitation. To makes things weirder, Debora somehow can empathize with Edmund and his relationship with Wolfgang. Debora has spent so much of her life isolating herself because she never wanted to be hurt again by abusive people like Wolfgang. That time in preschool was still a trauma that she carries to this day. It was her first glimpse of reality that she was different from other kids and that people fear or hate things they can’t understand.
For one reason or another, Edmund the abused loser and Debora the lonely loser found comfort in each other and decided it might be nice if they hung out a bit more. Thus leads Debora and Edmund’s unlikely friendship having everybody around them confused, especially Wolfgang. Surely a girl that genuinely likes Edmund has to have something wrong with her. This leads to the butterfly effect of Wolfgang finding out Debora has Asperger’s syndrome, him exposing that information to the students of PS118, Debora having a break down in the supply closest, Edmund and Wolfgang’s falling out, Helga of all people come to give what Debora needs to hear in her time of need, Helga gaining a renewed purpose in an attempt to move on from Arnold, and Debora finds a true friend in Helga, Edmund, and Helga’s friends are by proxy. Sure, there are still people who treat her terribly when they found out she had a mental illness, but she’s finally content with people knowing because of all the sea of people that see her as a broken person, there are still a few good people that accept her, all of her.
Edit 8/2/2019
I gave her thick eyebrows because I thought she was too pretty and the point of her character is that she is plain looking.
Edit 11/24/2019
I changed her surname to have more of an Irish variant, even if it isn’t technically a real surname as far as I know.
Edit 12/5/2019
I decided to change her surname again so it could be a real Irish surname instead of an Irish variant of a British surname that’s only a variant on a first name basis.
Aww! This is so cute! Thank you for doing this sort of weird request. Debora definitely looks cute in your style Melfi.

Cherry blossom for you because you’re kinda cute..

This is very good for your first time drawing these two. Thank you for doing this suggestion! I think it’s adorable and I hope you had fun doing this.
Here’s a fun fact, the meaning of the name Suzie is “lily”. Lila is only one letter away from that. I know it’s just a coincidence, but I just found that interesting.

Mr. Sawyer x Suzie
Never actually drew them before, this is a good way to start it.
I decided to make this because I don’t a lot of people really talk about this series and I personally would like more people to know about it so more people can express their opinions on it
I’m going to list my pros and cons and then I’m going to state my overall opinion. There is no specific order for these lists. I’m adding them as soon as they pop into my head
Pros.
1. Po is not the entitled, lazy brat he was in “Legends of Awesomeness”. That alone is something I can gladly say about the show.
2. Sassy grandma panda is a delight.
3. I adore the use of songs with Chinese lyrics when doing montage sequences and one beautiful love song. It’s those little details that make me appreciate a series. Now if only I spoke Mandarin Chinese.
4. I only find 1 out of four of the Panda kids grating (more on that in cons). Nu Hai is my favorite.
5. I think the show has great antagonists, both the comedic and serious ones.
6. Mei Mei is a fabulous drama queen. Even though, I’m a Tipo shipper I’m not as bother with her conversing with Po. I find their interactions hilarious with how uncomfortable she makes him feel.
7. I personally like the use of the Four Constellations because I love Chinese mythology and I don’t mind the show having fantasy elements to it. After all, the first movie’s conflict ended with a magical equivalent of “pull my finger”.
8. The character models are leagues above the previous spinoff show on Nick.
9. I enjoyed binge-watching the whole season. However, I recommend you don’t do it all in one day. I feel it is best to space out the time you watch the episodes. I kind of got tired of the show after watching it all in one day. Then again, I was watching it during a time when I had booked schedule, so I didn’t allow myself breathing time for the show when I should of.
Cons:
No Furious Five and Shifu. I accepted the fact before watching the show that the Furious Five were probably not going to appear. That still doesn’t change the fact that it sucks that the Furious 5 didn’t interact with the Panda kids. I get that Po has to be the main teacher. I’m not asking them to be in all the episodes. I just feel that it would have been nice if the Furious 5 dropped by in one episode, tell the panda kids about their experiences in kung fu lessons, and drop by in the grand finale to help in the final battle. Heck, it would have been so easy to pick which Furious to help which student. Each would have had at least two of the Furious Five that would help them with one thing or another.
Nu Hai: Tigress (by default because she has an action figure of her) and Viper (she would help Nu Hai with flexibility and she is the closest thing to a dragon out of all the Furious Five).
Jing: Tigress (because she’s a tiger, I also feel this could cause a conflict with Nu Hai if Tigress started requiring to spend a little more time with Jing than her. Just something to challenge Nu Hai and Jing’s friendship. I just personally don’t like that in the show they’re best friends, but they don’t really show reasons why besides they’re both girls. Plus, the dragon and tiger are supposed to be rivals. so that would have been great for symbolism), Crane (He could have helped with her issues in confidence in her own abilities) and Mantis (Mantis is sort of the defacto healer of the group and could have helped her with patience about her powers).
Fan Tong: Crane (the closest thing to a phoenix in the group. Crane also could have help Fan Tong with his confidence issues), Viper (she could have helped him with his own bravery problems by talking about her own when she was younger), Tigress (She could have had a moment with Fan Tong that even the most hardcore of creatures can still be scared), and Monkey (I could see them practicing with staffs together to help him hone his skills with a sword).
Bao: Mantis (Given that he got the turtle, Mantis would be perfect in helping him with being patient and more precise. You know, because turtles are slow.), Monkey (He could talk to Bao about being more compassionate to other people and help Bao let go of his entitlement issues.)
Po would obviously still be their main teacher for all of the kids. It just would have been nice for them to drop by and give their own words of wisdom to the kids. Oh well, it didn’t happen so all we can do is just accept it and move on. Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to see them in season two (I won’t hold my breath on that though).
Lastly, Shifu was just as much of an influence on Po as Oogway was and I feel he deserves to be there to help the panda just as much as the dead tortoise. I would also love to see him banter with Mr. Ping and Li Shan as a sort of father ragtag group of friends or something. XD
2. I really could do without the use of modern quotes like “cuteness overload” or “I can’t even” in Ancient China. A character even mentioned pizza in one episode.
3. Bao is leaning towards to being basically LOA Po in child form and I hate it.
4. I can’t stand those cutesy rodents and their high pitched voices. How old are they supposed to be anyway?
5. Giant Spider, Nuff said. I can only suspend my disbelief so much for this show, but I can’t fathom this thing could ever exist in the official canon. At least this is just a noncanon spinoff like LOA.
6. Bunnidharma. I just found him really annoying and oddly designed because we already have a cuter design for rabbits. It doesn’t help that he is voiced by James Sie, Monkey’s VA in LOA.
7. A character mentioned a character called in Ke-Pa in the show. Please leave LOA out this, thank you. I don’t care if it turns out to be a different Ke-Pa, they knew what they were doing!
8. Some episode plots or arcs can be sort of predictable, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad it’s just something that could be improved upon.
Overall, “Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny” is not perfect by any means. I found some things in this show grating when I binged the first season. I think it’s worth watching at least once to get a feel of the series. I personally liked the show and found some moments funny or interesting. My personal favorite scene is a scene with Mr. Ping, a cart, and a pink background.
Although, I won’t lie there will be moments in this show when you’ll probably be thinking how this is definitely something the Furious 5 and Shifu should have witnessed, especially the finale. I still like the show and the characters that already exist in it (except for Bao, Bunnidharma, and those annoying panda cub sized rodents). I only hope that more people will watch the series so we can get a season two. If anything, I just really want season two to happen in hope that maybe Shifu and the Furious 5 will finally make an appearance. If not, I will still in enjoy it for Po.
I hope this post made a difference for you in some way. Stay awesome!
Ever since I heard Helga named dropped “Fortuna” in one episode I now believe that she is a big Greek Mythology buff. I want this to be true so bad because it would be so cool to have Arnold or Helga daydream that they’re in the Odysessy or any other Greek legend.
What do you think Helga’s favorite Greek legend would be? (I personally think it would be Atalanta, that girl was hardcore https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjTDoXGR7-M )
Here’s a quick rundown.
Article 13 is still in its final stages of voting. The problem is not that people don’t want to protect copyright, it’s that the LANGUAGE of the LAW is TOO VAGUE and OPEN TO ABUSE. IT COULD PASS THIS YEAR.
This law WILL impact EVERYBODY. Media platforms like YouTube will not bother to have different policies for the EU and for everybody else, they’ll just apply strict EU laws to EVERYONE.
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL LOSE THEIR JOBS. You can yammer on all day about how people shouldn’t be building a career on an industry like YouTube or Instagram anyway, but the world changes, and there is actually not much different between YouTube content creators and traditional media like movies and TV. Youtubers, Instagram models, hell, even kids who use apps like TikTok are either directly or indirectly CREATING JOBS, and you CANNOT deny that. ALL OF THESE JOBS WILL BE PUT IN JEOPARDY IF ARTICLE 13 IS PUT INTO PLAY. THE ONLY CONTENT CREATORS THAT WILL BE ABLE TO THRIVE POST ARTICLE 13 IS BIG MEDIA COMPANIES.
THIS IS NOT FEARMONGERING. Is it scary, even anxiety-inducing that Article 13 could take away the only safe space that some people have—the Internet? YES. But we CANNOT close our eyes and scroll past all the article 13 posts because they make us anxious, or because they make us sad. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Reblog/make posts. Spread awareness. Tell your friends. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF YOU LIVE IN THE EU, TALK TO YOUR REPS. IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SAVE OUR INTERNET.
We’re currently going through a scare on Tumblr where your blog could get taken down at any time for any unclear reason, because they’re cracking down on child porn. That is good, but many people with perfectly appropriate blogs are having them taken down, too. The thing is, right now, you can still get your blog back without hassle if it is taken down by mistake. Imagine if your blog was taken down simply for making or reblogging a meme, gif of your favorite TV show, or simply producing art that isn’t 100% original, and Tumblr COULD NOT RESTORE IT BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS BY ARTICLE 13. That could be our reality. Do NOT turn a blind eye to this.
tl;dr Article 13 will 100% change the internet as we know it for the worse, and you aren’t safe even outside of the EU. SPREAD THE WORD. EU RESIDENTS CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES.
I know you guys love to shit on MatPat here, but he made a wonderful and interesting video going into more detail.
https://youtu.be/GbXHrj8k7dg
Spread it. Spread this post. Make your own and spread it. Do SOMETHING. Silence and inaction will only help kill the internet we all love so much.
I’ll do you one better!
Arnold: Seriously guys, this is a bad idea
Other kids: C'mon Arnold, nothing bad will happen. Let us have fun for once.
Other kids when bad thing happens:
Thanks to Haley Joel Osment voicing Curly in “Deconstructing Arnold” I now picture the little freak going through an anime phase and donning a Sora-like haircut as a teenager.
No one will change my mind about it!
Lila Sawyer is from Pleasantville, Iowa. No one can tell me otherwise, except Craig Bartlett himself! XD
I got the idea by looking up this movie and where they filmed it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleasantville_(film) I didn’t see the actual film, but the premise from the trailer sounds like a place Lila would live (at least the fictional version of the city in Iowa portrayed in the film).
I know Craig himself said Lila’s mom “most likely died”, but that’s the thing, most likely. The way he said it made it seem like he wasn’t completely sold on that story idea. It’s as if he might change it in the future.
This is where my headcanon comes in, what if Lila’s mom never died in the first place, what if it’s somebody we already saw.
What if Lila’s mother is actually Betty from the episode “Eugene, Eugene!”?
Think about it, they look eerily similar when Betty was a child besides the hair color. Betty could have been in love with Mr. Leichliter, but somewhere along the line she started fearing that being with him wouldn’t keep her safe financially, so she settles down with Mr. Sawyer because at least she knew that she wouldn’t have to worry of the possibility of living with a starving artist (Kind of similar to the storyline of “State Fair” the book, not the musical). She grew unhappy with her life and decided that she couldn’t take the life as a farmer’s wife anymore and decided to live the life she never had while attempting to find her true love. Mr. Sawyer heartbroken lies to Lila by telling her that Betty died because that was easier than telling her that they weren’t good enough for her.
Is this most likely not true? Definitely so! It’s fun to speculate and make things more complex than Lila’s mother died from “off-camera” disease anyway. This also makes a nice parallel with Lila on how her and Betty both deal with their romantic relationships.
I had this idea when I first saw the girl, but I really didn’t think much of it until I was trying to think of a name for Lila’s mom. I was going for names that sounded similar to Becky due to the name of Tom Sawyer’s name of his main love interest. I thought Betty Thatcher was a good choice until I saw that there was a character already named that, which was this exact character. So everything just clicked. Now I need to find a new headcanon name for Lila’s mom in case I start preferring the dead mom thing over this. I’m thinking either Betsy or Bessie.
BTW my headcanon name for Lila’s dad is Tim.

Last December, the FCC voted to to kill net neutrality. If we do not take action, this will kill the free and open internet as we know it. The internet needs you—all of you—to make sure your voices are heard NOW.
We need all hands on deck for this one. It may be our last chance. If you’re feeling under-informed and overwhelmed about why net neutrality is so incredibly important, we have this handy guide just for you.
In mid-May, the Senate will vote on a resolution to overrule the FCC using the Congressional Review Act (CRA). We only need one more vote in the Senate to win. Write or call your Senators or Representatives. You can also text BATTLE to 384-387 to get more information on how to write to your reps. You can do this, Tumblr.
Join us and dozens of your other favorite companies like Etsy, Vimeo, Reddit, and GitHub to raise awareness with the Red Alert campaign being run by Battle for the Net. Just add this small widget to your Tumblr to let your followers know how they can contact their reps. It’s as easy as copying and pasting the small line of code right into the customize theme page on the web.
This is important. This matters. It’s up to you to help.
It’s on April 2nd 3pm eastern time

Around the time Arnold is 11-12 Miles and Stella decides to adopt a parentless infant from the Green Eyed people. They name the child Phillipe Arnaldo Shortman. This would make a nice setup to parallel Helga and Olga’s relationship. Arnold would enjoy being an older brother, but because of the big age gap as Phillipe grows older, they start to drift apart. Arnold would come to Helga (and Gerald but Helga would better understand the specific situation better because of the age) for advice on how to be a better older brother to Phillipe and Helga and Phillipe would bond about their annoyance of their “perfect older siblings”. Helga and Phillipe’s will eventually have a sibling-like bond that she could really use while Arnold is away for college in a different state.
Craig Bartlett will be having an Ask Me Anything on April 2nd at 3 e/t on reddit!!
This is either really cruel or really exciting!
@nickelodeon Teasing us, Hey Arnold fans again 😍😉
Well, in that case, my bad. I don’t mind the outfit personally because it makes him look more like a southern outcast (even though he was born in Hillwood). It looks terrible without the sleeves though. That’s not his official look though (when he has the sleeves is when it’s his casual look). He only tore off his sleees so he can fight the heat in San Lorenzo. He can’t afford fancy new tourist clothes like Rhonda can. The boy brought a hobo stick for cryin’ out loud. Here’s him with his sleeves.
Stinky Peterson is far from perfect. He’s not the smartest, he’s innocently insensitive, and looks like what a plague doctor would look like unmasked, but when he’s not around negative influences he is the sweetest country boy in Hillwood. Plus he maybe a vampire (people are still into those right?)! I don’t know, maybe I’m just a nut that’s into to lanky, big nosed freaks. He’s one of my favorite Hey Arnold characters though and he doesn’t deserve being called ugly.

So I haven’t seen anything on this subject in quite some time, but I am subscribed to FreePress’ email newsletter where they keep people updated.
Guys, the battle for the net isn’t over yet, just because you don’t see any more posts on it. This text is copy-pasted from the update email I received.
The Net Neutrality repeal is about to become official. The FCC is expected to publish its Net Neutrality rollback in the Federal Register tomorrow, which means that Congress will be able to examine the rules and move forward with a vote to reverse them. This also means that we have a limited amount of time to get all of our elected officials on board to save the open internet — but we have a plan to get there.
Millions of people have spoken out against the FCC’s Net Neutrality repeal because they recognize how important the open internet is for racial justice, free expression, innovation and economic opportunity. The momentum we’ve seen has been grassroots and creative, and gives us hope for the future.
Here’s a recap of what’s happened since the FCC’s vote:
• Legislation that would enforce Net Neutrality has popped up all over the country. • We filed one of the very first lawsuits to overturn the FCC’s Net Neutrality-killing vote and at least 22 state attorneys general are also suing the FCC. • Burger King (yes, that Burger King!) created an ad explaining Net Neutrality. • Team Internet activists have been showing up outside their members of Congress’ offices all over the country to tell them to use the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to undo the FCC’s Net Neutrality repeal. • The pressure people are putting on Congress is working: Members have been signing on to support the CRA effort to save the open internet left and right. We’re just 1 vote away from winning a CRA vote in the Senate — but we have our work cut out for us in the House. • Along with our allies at #BattlefortheNet, we’re gearing up for another internet-wide day of action to save the open internet…
On Feb. 27, we’ll launch Operation #OneMoreVote, a massive day of action to secure the final Senate vote needed to undo the FCC’s Net Neutrality repeal. Will you join us?
On this day, internet users, small businesses, online communities, public-interest groups and popular websites will mobilize to flood lawmakers with calls, emails and tweets. Our goal: to secure the final vote in the Senate needed to pass a resolution of disapproval that would overturn the FCC’s Net Neutrality repeal. We need your help to make this happen: RSVP to join us online on Feb. 27.
There are a ton of ways you can take part in Operation #OneMoreVote, ranging from changing your profile photo, to tweeting and calling your members of Congress and spreading the word. Everything helps.
See you online on Feb. 27th!
