okay so like yeah Taylor is writing songs that blame the guy and not the girl in the relationship now, but can we all agree that in ‘you belong with me’ she’s kind of acknowledging the fact that guys can be a victim to abuse in relationships? Like she’s kinda saying how the guy’s girlfriend doesn’t treat him well and disregards him a lot which can be a sign of emotional abuse and she’s telling him that he deserves better.
