My name is Tahani, the mother of these wonderful children, I am a 30 year old woman from Gaza who was separated from my entire family during the war and I am currently forced to take care of my children completely alone.
My children are sick from the cold and the spread of diseases, and they are all in pain. I have been displaced with my children many times, and each time we had to bleed her precious evacuation money to buy transportation and transportation.

I am doing my best to take care of my children by myself, despite facing hunger, thirst, disease and the threat of death. The other day, there was heavy shelling near me and another family close to us was killed. Life in Gaza is now hell and I tell you that we are living as if we are waiting for our turn to die.

We are trying to survive in miserable conditions in tents in Mawasi Deir al-Balah, south of Gaza. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. No food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, oppression, helplessness, psychological pressure, doubts and daily trauma due to the loss of loved ones. I was about to achieve my dream of becoming a teacher but the war destroyed all my dreams. Most schools in Gaza have been destroyed.💔💔
Unfortunately, our house was bombed and destroyed during the recent events,
which caused us severe psychological and physical damage due to the catastrophic situation we are currently living in. We were forcibly displaced due to the heavy bombing from the north of Gaza to the south, where we have no shelter except a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.
We are now living in catastrophic conditions, in particular my child Riad who was born with a hole in his heart and also pulmonary valve stenosis. At the age of 6 months, he underwent open heart surgery.
Unfortunately, during his regular checkups after surgery, exactly 2 years ago, we noticed that problems had started to appear again.💔

When she told me, I felt a whirlwind of emotions. There was overwhelming happiness—a new child will come to fill our lives with fresh hope. His small laughs might ease the weight of our pain. At the same time, fear gripped me. How can I protect this new life? How can I provide a decent life for him when I can barely shield my other children?
Every night, I sit next to my wife, watching her belly grow, imagining this child. I see him laughing, playing, calling me "Dad." Yet, amidst these beautiful images, reality reminds me of my struggles: our tent battered by the wind, rain seeping through, and the cold freezing us to the bone. What kind of beginning will this child have in such a harsh world?
Despite everything, I decided to hold on to hope. My children see me as their pillar of strength, and my wife needs my support now more than ever. I try to appear strong for them, but inside, I am searching for a helping hand, a beacon of hope that assures me tomorrow will be better.
That is why I reach out to you today—to those with compassionate hearts, to those who believe humanity knows no borders. We need your help to welcome this new child. We need a tent to shelter us, warm clothes to protect us from the cold, and food to nourish our bodies, weary from hunger.
