I’d personally like to think Trucy knew what Phoenix was asking and was like “sic ‘em pops” because if I’m honest I’d want to get back at the dude who threw my life into shambles in the most poetic way possible too. Especially if the person they threw into shambles with me took me in without a second thought and stepped up for me because I was vulnerable, even if they were also hurt in the process too. Especially in trucy’s case where she comes to see Phoenix as her real father, and Phoenix adores Trucy as his daughter.

“You forged evidence and used me? Well, oopsies! Looks like the evidence you wanted to use against us was forged as well! Silly me, silly papa, how in the world did that happen? Oh? I delivered it? Well how was I supposed to know that it wasn’t real, that’s not my job, I’m just a silly teenager!”

I also believe she is far too perceptive to have not figured it out.

Like yeah, it’s not the merciful, righteous, “truth is unveiled in court” reveal that Phoenix would have pulled off pre disbarment, and it’s certainly not moral or legal the way he outs Kristoph, which definitely shows how he’s lost a lot of faith in the law because at the end of the day it failed both himself and his daughter tremendously, and it also shows how he’s willing to Bend and break rules if he deems it necessary- which he kind of didn’t before- but those are like, the bitter, scorned reactions I expect from someone who was failed so terribly. Phoenix and Trucy were both hurt by Phoenix’s disbarment. They bonded together through that hurt. Lived with it. Suffered through and persevered. But that anger would still be there, bubbling under the surface. And an opportunity to get revenge on someone who hurt you in a terribly satisfying way? Ooo boy. I’d take it. I’d take it and run.

a pawn twice over

For those of you awaiting chapter eight, dw it’s coming, but I do have to slow down a tiny bit. Or, well I have been. I had trouble writing out one scene (I finally got it to a point I’m happy with) and finals are this week for the semester (yay!!!!). So I gotta study.

Also, my period is hitting like a fucking semi and it’s cold in my home right now so my cramps feel 100x worse. I thought it would be lighter since I started a new Birthcontrol. It had other plans.

Snorting, cackling, and consoling my itty bitty inner child at this.

Trucy definitely only tells them about the marrying other farmers feature when they’re at like year 10, which results in an immediate divorce and remarriage to themselves. Miles saw the recipe for the wedding ring and didn’t understand what it was for in like year one, because he didn’t know that you marry villagers with the necklace.

Now that they are married, Pheonix has discovered he can kiss miles in game whenever, and interrupts everything that they do together and miles just glares at him from across the room like: “you better cut that shit out rn” but phoenix thinks his pouty face is hilarious, and phoenix’s laugh makes miles so soft he can’t stay mad.

Also, phoenix totally sold/gifted their fist prismatic gem without realizing it and miles upon realizing this was so mad.

When they get their first baby, miles DEFINITELY sits there clicking the crib and making the lil bean happy for like a solid minute straight. And he gets teary eyed (despite being very sure he never wanted kids of his own irl), and has accidentally given himself baby fever via video game. I imagine the interaction went something like this:

Miles: “ITS JUST SO CUTE, PHOENIX CANT IM GONNA CRY T~T”

Phoenix: laughing “miles calm down it’s a pixelated baby we need to go to the next day go to bed already.”

Next day: -baby is now standing in the crib and doing the little excited dance animation upon seeing papa miles-

Miles: “PHOENIX OUR BABY IS STANDING NOW”

Phoenix: “aw what a cute feature!”

Phoenix: -sips grape juice-

Miles: “Phoenix do you think we could have a baby of our own? Or Would that be unfair to Trucy, Kay, and Apollo you think?”

Phoenix: -chokes on grape juice so hard it comes out his nose- “I’M SORRY WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY MILES-“

@sleepysquib and I were discussing Stardew Valley and Ace Attorney and we said that Phoenix would have sunflowers on his farm, and that Miles would be a sheriff (Phoenix convinced him that a sheriff was a western samurai)

This can count for both an AU where they move to the valley or for them playing the game itself, but this one is specifically about them playing the game (Trucy showed it to them)

Phoenix immediately starts rizzing up all 12 bachelors, but Miles (unaware of this feature) just starts to farm

And then he sees Phoenix romancing everyone and he’s like “!! :(( But this was supposed to be me playing a silly game with my husband…”

Phoenix tells him it’s just a game and that he could pick one of the bachelors if he wanted, so Miles ends up picking Shane but he can’t figure out why. Phoenix doesn’t know why either at first.

Phoenix also ends up landing on just Harvey because his secret autism for airplanes reminds him of Miles’s secret autism for the steel samurai

But once Phoenix sees Shane’s winter outfit, he realizes Miles picked him because he reminded Edgeworth of Phoenix and he finds that very funny

Also Nick would definitely talk in a southern accent while playing and both of them would get way too into character

The sky itself seemed to have been painted like oils on canvas as the sun slinked down over the silhouetted tree-line, pops of color in the form of innumerable wild grasses and flowers so abundant it stung at the eyes, illuminated and joyously glowing with the fading golden light. Winds oh-so-gently kissed longingly at the clearing, grasses swaying in time with their wistful embrace; that same timeless dance that whispered gently at the skin of one’s ears with the brisk chill of oncoming night. The stars spattering across the sky, unabashedly inviting themselves onwards into the streaks of lilac nightfall. The swaying grasses lapping gently against the skin of calves with tender touches, the sound of a gale blustering past, roaring in the shells of ears as the last of a wayward storm was pushed into distant memory of the dewy land that subtly gave way underfoot. The scent of nectar and petrichor wafted up as peat and flowers were crushed under heel.

It couldn’t have been more perfect if it tried.

I’m absolutely wearing the most shit eating grin and idgaf. I have the opposite problem. I would describe a scene for an entire page and forget about plot points in favor of waxing poetic about sensations and sights. I’m begging you, do not encourage me like this.

I’ve been like this since my queer ass was in the fourth grade. I could never finish shit on time.

Happy new year to yall out there who celebrate! Be safe. Too many drunk accidents happen when people celebrate today.

This was me in the second grade. They’d ask me to explain my answer in math, and I’d scribble down “you’d know if you paid attention in class” because I was sick of their shit and writing stuff out was something I hated doing.

If I could get away with responding this way in college, I would….. I won’t even lie to yall.
