Y'know what sucks.

Having your love language be physical contact and everyone's chill about it.

You hug constantly, hold hands with your friends, cuddle with them, wrap an arm around their shoulder.

And then making knew friends, and barely touching them.

You rest your elbow on their shoulder once, they fall asleep during class and the teacher calls on them so you gentley rub their arm to wake them up, you hugged them once. One time.

And then, they say "You've just been really... touchy."

If the words didn't cut you enough, their tone, the way they glaced around nervously, split you.

They think you're a pervert.

You distance yourself from them. And, by force of nature, make a knew friend.

Some time passes, and, you've realized you're now terrified of touching someone without them touching you first.

You don't go in for hugs and squeeze youself into a corner so you don't bump knees with them.

Because, what if they think you're a creep.

It's more frightening than death at this point.

All the while, it hurts. You want to be close to them and hug them and hold hands and cuddle. And y'know what's worse?

They're 'touchy'.

They hug you all the time, they playfully nudge you, they came up to you and rest their head on your shoulder in greating, they've even held both your hands when you told them a not-so-normal story.

And, now, you live three hours away from them.

It wasn't that bad, actually met alot of fire people and the counsolers were awesome.

APERENTLY we arent allowed to have our phones at this church camp which is bullshit cuz if theres an emergency I'm not waiting for the teacher lady to make her way over and make some calls.

I'm either bringing my phone or a fucking gun. At least a pocket knife or some shit.

I'm not even addicted to social media. Like, yes, I like watching youtube vids and yes I like scrolling tumblr and ao3.

But, I'm mainly PHONE addicted. I'm addicted to chatting w/ my friends on Discord and listening to music and stuff in samsung fucking notes. It's moments like these that I wish I asked for a walkman sooner.

I'm not trying to be "woke" about it or anything, I get that theyre trying to "reconnect us with the lord" and shit but in todays day and age and the fact we are literally on the brink of a fucking civil war I'd prefer to have my contact device in my back pocket.

Seventy. Six. Students. Got. Suspended.

Over thirty are in ISS.

Oh. My god.

Have I got a story for yall.

So my schools principlal(ill call her doctor umbridge cuz she makes us call her dr. Principal) didn't let us have off on Halloween and to top it off, we couldn't wear costumes. First she said cuz it was unprofentional then cuz it had smt to do w/ religion[smh] and as you could guess, all the students w/out strict parents and could afford getting dresscoded came in costumes or face paint. Over. half. the school.

There were five girls in jugglo makeup, two of em were my friends. All but E had to take theirs off and last I saw her was 5th period, so ill learn tommarrow if she survived.

All the welders wore the same thing [green buttonups] and walked around w/ their masks on like storm troopers.

There was a Repunsel.

A Reeses cup.

S was a banana.

J was a leprochaun[cuz he's ginger].

There was a genshin impact character.

Chuckie.

Boo from monsters inc.

People that just had facepaint.

So many people got dresscoded.

Several were in ISS.

Cool teachers made student take off their costumes until they left class.

One dude got suspended for not taking his off.

Me, Twelve, E, and some other dude were the last ones.

And mine is literally regular clothes so no one could catch me.

I think I won.

[I know it's petty but highschools not long enough to care]

It's really funny to me how people that kind of know me react to me saying my parents are getting a divorce:

In band today Mr Beam[yes im using code names] let everyone vent about yesterdays costume fiasco, and reasoning with us about how at the end of the day shes the boss and we have to do what she says and how we could have our parents or gardians join a board of education meeting to voice their feelings.

Near the end i pitched in something like "It feels like it shouldn't have been made an issue at all, and teens- it's nature for them to rebel-" "uh yeah ya think" " But half the school- anyone that could afford getting dresscoded and didn't have strict parents were inevitably gonna dress up and it seems like it ended up being more of a destraction than if everyone just dressed up in the first place." And he got real quiet for a second and than pointed at me and said "Now the way she just said that- that patient calm tone- that is the tone you should use if you go to one of the members of the board of education" I was screaming inside

It's drama time!

So I get on the bus with the eightish other highschoolers and vape chick starts going off on nickeldude for "stealing her seat again". She goes up to Tman[my awesome bus driver] tellin him to get nickeldude out of said seat. He says there's nothing he can do because we don't have assigned seats and it wouldn't be fair to just kick him out. Pretty reasonable, right? She sits in the seat in front of him and we're off to the middle school. End of altercation.

Or so it seemed.

We get to the middle/elementry school and right when we pull up she attempts to punch nickeldude in the face. Over the seat. Tman comes over and calmly says "this goes one of two ways, either you sit with him or you two work it out"

Should be over, right? Wrong.

Vape chick (keep in mind: she's seventeen) says "I'm going in the building" and leaves the bus. So now everyones like "are we gonna have to wait for her to stop throwing a tantrum or what?' And Tmans like "no we're gettin yall home; her mom can pick her up"

End of story? Never.

As we're leaving the assistant principal and the school police officer come onto the bus. The lady moves nickeldude into bus boy 1 and tibs seat behind me and the whole bus now has assigned seats. And you could tell the lady didn't like this but it was the least complicated choice. Vape chick then struts onto the bus, head held high, face red from crying and clames her seat.

This is the end- sike!

Im not sure what got her started but vape chick was standin up and prolly yellin to her seventh grade friends about how in the right she is idrc and terisa turtle bitch- in the right lane for once- tells her to shut up and sit down cuz no one cares. Vape chick then starts cussin her out and they go back and forth until she sits down.

It only gets worse? You guessed it!

She stands up again and starts goin of at terisa throwin as many insults she could think of callin her names and crap and then, in response to one of terisas' comebacks, says "why don't you come over here and make me sit down" and she goes "maybe i should" and she goes "pull up then" which I learned as of today means "lets throw hands".

Terisa doesn't even hesitate and stands up to plate at which point I attempt to intervene by standing up and repetativly shouting "YALL CHILLCHILLCHILLCHILL-" and Tman can see smts going on and I start waven at him like HELP COME GET THESE STUCK UP SPOILED BRATS and terisa ends up sitting up front. They're looking at the cameras tomorrow to see who cussed who out.
