do you think if we told the people who like jin from 2 and n from 3 about [REDACTED] that we could convince them to play x, because there's some similarities there
All the icons that used to be near the make a post button are gone and now I barely find things
PMD Questionnaire I made!
I'd love to see you guys do it, and spread it around!
(Also behold...my amazing graphic design skills!! /j)
For fun, here’s the order I played through Xenoblade (do not do this):
-Started with X of all things because I thought it looked cool. It’s the odd one out, with a bigger focus on side content, a customizable avatar, giant robots you can control, and almost everyone has an American accent (they’re canonically from America it’s fine). Also Shulk and Fiora’s voice actors are voice options for the protagonist, neat.
-Played 1 and it’s sidestory next when it came out on Switch, very good time.
-Played 2 after that, I skipped it when it first came out because reasons and forced myself to play through it because 3 got announced. Nia, Zeke, and being blessed by the gacha gods and summoning KOS-MOS got me through 2. I still haven’t finished the DLC.
-3 and it’s DLC after that, both are very good. I’ve heard the DLC has a lot of references to some older games the devs made but I don’t have those.
I’d recommend starting with 1 and then 2, there’s some cool stuff near the end of 2 that hits harder if you’ve played 1. X can go anywhere after 1 since it’s the closest gameplay-wise and X has some references to 1.
okay, firstly, xenoblade refers to 4 video game. Xenoblade Chronicles 1, X, 2, and 3. They're really good and introspective and you should play them. but its not that simple.
1, 2, and 3 are all on Nintendo Switch. X is on WiiU, so its okay to skip that one if you dont have the console. X is also a little wierd. It's completely different and futuristic, so even though it was released between 1 and 2, play it after those. Maybe even after 3.
The issue is where to start.
You can start with 1 or 2. Most people start with 1, naturally. I started with 2.
The case for starting with 1 goes as follows:
It was the first released
It works perfectly as a standalone if you don't want to continue after it (even though you probably will want to)
more... normal. than 2
The case for starting with 2:
worse gameplay, so its up and up from here
slightly more lore relevance, pulls u in more
get it over with bc its kinda wierd and oversexualized and Rex's voice direction oh lawd
my personal play order recommendation is 2 (and maybe dlc prequel sidestory), 1 (and included sidestory), X if you have a WiiU, 3, 3's dlc. You can swap 2 and 1, but meh.
The dlc for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is important because of the Future Redeemed Sidestory. It's so important both Protags from 1 and 2 come back, along with Computer God from 1.
and then when you're inevitably confused afterwwards, either come crawling back to me (probably in tears. you will cry) or go to Luxin on youtube. have fun, play xenoblade, live laugh lacerate.
Okay so I beat the story of Indigo Disk last night and I'm still processing all that. There will be some discussion of leaks along with story spoilers here.
Before getting into story stuff, I completed the Paldea and Kitakami dexs just before Indigo Disk released and the shiny charm is great. Found two shinies in the Terrarium already, Peaches the Slakoth and MArty the Axew.
Really liked the first part of the story, where you fight the BB Elite Four and learn more about what's been going on with Kieran since the end of Teal Mask. Fights were pretty tough, my team was level 100 but they aren't built for competitive battles seen here.
Did not expect Lacey to be related to Clay of all people, apparently it's confirmed that Drayton is related to Drayden but I must've missed that dialogue. No signs of Crispin or Amarys being related to old Unova characters, Crispin seems like he'd be related to Chili but there's nothing for Amarys.
I was waiting for that weird peach thing from that one Teal Mask cutscene to show up but it just never did? Apparently it's a mythical and we just don't have the event yet (seems like dataminers/hackers were able to trigger the event and have this little peach loser show up in game).
Second part of the story has the gang head down into a new part of Area Zero below the lab. Kieran using a Master Ball to catch Terapagos that broke when he Terastillized it was cool, and it was nice seeing Kieran go back to his old self. Terapagos itself isn't that interesting though. Somehow Briar didn't end up being evil, same goes for Geeta. Saw Geeta show up to discuss the Area Zero trip and expected her and Briar to have some sort of evil plan together but it didn't happen, both of them are CLEARLY hiding stuff from us though.
After completing the story, you can talk to Briar and she'll give you a book she wrote about your trip to Area Zero. If you go to the Crystal Pool in Kitakami with that book, you trigger an event where you meet Sada/Turo. Not the AI, it's the original professor themselves. There's some time travel shenanigans going on, this version of the professor hasn't made the time machine or their AI copy yet. They do mention Arven though. You give them Briar's book and they give you their copy of the Scarlet/Violet book and the event ends. Paradox just happened, also if you talk to Arven with this book he just assumes you have the library's copy.
Anyway uh Kieran is the best Pokemon rival no contest.
Echoes of Wisdom: Zelda redesign turnaround 💞 I drew this ref sheet because I was sad how you couldn’t see her full outfit in my original drawing 🥲 Also I wanted to show what I think she’d look like with her little hood up~ 💜
Hard to decide if I like this or the original more, they're both good.
I am Monado. I was here at the beginning. And I will proclaim the end.
Been thinking about Kirby a lot lately. My first Kirby game was Super Star Ultra and it's still one of my favorites, so of course I'm thinking about all the games within it and which ones are more popular.
I like stupid Nintendo games and other JRPGs. Call me Brim.
