On the authority of Anas ibn Mālik raḍhiyāllahu ‘anhu who said: “The most common supplication of The Prophet ﷺ was:
“O Allāh, our Lord, grant us the good in this world,
and the good in the hereafter,
and save us from the punishment of the Hellfire.”

Al-Imām Ibn Kathīr raḥimahullāh mentions:
“The word الحسنة in the dunyā (worldly life) is inclusive of all that which is sought in this world from well-being, a spacious dwelling, a beautiful wife, righteous children, plentiful provision, beneficial knowledge, righteous actions, a pleasant means of transport, a praiseworthy mention and other things from that which has been mentioned, for they are all included in the meaning of الحسنة in this world. As for الحسنة in the hereafter, the highest of them is entering Jannah (Paradise) and its consequences of security from the great terror of Al-‘Araṣāt (the place where everyone will be gathered), an easy reckoning, and other matters of the hereafter. As for protection from the torment of the Hellfire, it necessitates facilitating its causes in this world by avoiding forbidden matters and abandoning doubtful things.”

I haven't seen it said much on many of these glow-up/self-improvement accounts, so let me put it out there for you all: Psychiatric medications can be among the most powerful of tools.
People talk a lot about "shifting your mindset" in a metaphorical sense. The right psych medication will do this for you on a chemical level. I have genuinely forgotten what it feels like to have an anxiety disorder.
Never feel ashamed for doing what you need to do to improve your quality of life.
[Bada'i Al-Fawa'id, v. 3, p. 1202]
Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Some women requested the Prophet ﷺ to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his time. Thus, he promised them one day for religious lessons and commandments.
Let’s be real. All of us are struggling in some ways. As imperfect human beings, we all have imaan swings.
There are days when our imaan is high, and there are days when we find even praying the fard salaah a heavy task — but we force ourselves anyway to fulfil the obligation out of taqwa of Allah.
There are days when we want to read and study the Qur’an for hours, and then there are days when we don’t feel like reading a single aayah at all — but we read 5, 10 aayat anyway, because we don't want a single day to pass without reading His Book.
And your striving in and of itself is an indication of having imaan.
Know that for every striving, every desire we control to not fall into the impermissible, and every effort we put into doing a small good deed are seen and appreciated by Him subhanahu wa ta’ala. Let these aayat encourage us to keep on going:
🌺 ❛And whatever you do of good, Allah certainly knows it.❜ 【Surah al-Baqarah 2:197】
🌺 ❛And whoever performs a good deed, We will increase for him goodness therein.❜ 【Surah ash-Shura 42:23】
🌺 ❛Is there any reward for good other than good?❜ 【Surah Ar-Rahman 55:60】
🌺 ❛[It will be said to the people in Jannah]: This (i.e. everything in Jannah) is a reward for you. And your effort has been very much appreciated.❜ 【Surah Al-Insan 76: 22】
