Stripe meanings below the cut
the grey stripes represent the non-visible areas of the light spectrum
the red represents the low frequency wavelengths of light
The orange represents the particle qualities of light
the yellow represents the culture based associations people have with light, and how concepts seen as light-adjacent play into one’s kinship with light
The white represents photons, those funky little guys.
The green represents the scientific properties of light and how those characteristics play into one’s kinship with light
The blue represents the wave qualities of light
The purple represents high wavelengths of light
The colors are from the lightgender flag with further inspiration from the rainbowgender flag.
I saw a post here about how other animals run away from humans because they're big apex predators and not because they're Uniquely Evil Polluters, but it's unreblogable so I'm just gonna vaguepost about it.
Yeah it's definitely true. As a hobbyist nature photographer I can tell you that if you mimic foraging behavior by looking at the ground and moving more naturally and less sneakily, small animals like birds and squirrels will allow you to come closer to them. We are all nature

I am saying this as someone with crippling social anxiety... I don't think they mean it out of active malice most of the time. They're just clueless and don't know how to react. They're not not the masters of social interaction they're made out to be, no one is! We're all just bumbling clowns on a circus planet
Neurotypical people have a secret, special way of saying "...okay." that saps all the joy from your body and makes you feel like an idiot, and they love to use it when you show them something you're really, really excited about
