------
As we sped through the forest, I could faintly hear the shouts of my sister for help. My right eye burned, similarly to how it had earlier that day. I was scared, not for myself but for Mable.
Questions and worries flooded my brain. What if Norman really was a zombie? What if my sister was getting eaten alive at that very moment? Did I just get my sister killed by letting her go out on that date? I'm such a horrible sister. What will I tell mom, dad, and Grunkle Stan?
As we approached the clearing where the noise was coming from, my eyes widened. Dipper sputtered in confusion at what we were seeing. "The more you struggle, the more awkward this is gonna be.. just, okay, just get her arm, Steve." Shouted a little bearded man from a mossy rock. In front of him, was Mable, surrounded by more tiny men.
"Let go of me!" She retaliated, punching one of them in them face then kicking him away. He landed near some rocks where be began to throw up a rainbow. Dipper and I exited the car, standing before the small crowd.
"What the heck's going on here?" My brother asked, confused. The gnome from before hissed at us before returning to his brethren. "Guys! Norman turned out to be a bunch of gnomes and they're total jerks!"
"Gnomes..? I murmured, realizing that I was right all along as the burning in my eye subsided. Dipper checked out the page in the journal, reading aloud that they had no known weakness. "Oh, great!" Groaned Mable from her spot on the ground, where she was now tied down like that one scene in Night At the Museum.
"Let our sister go." I demanded and the gnome in front of me turned around to face us. "Oh, well. Hi! Sorry, this is all just a big misunderstanding. You see, she's going to marry all 1,000 of us and become our queen for all of eternity. Well, that is, unless you want to take her place?" He said, looking up at me. "You are a more suitable candidate, after all you are older than she is. She's only a last resort if I'm being honest and even then we'd wait till she was of age before doing anything. I mean, we aren't that creepy." I glared at him. "As much as I appreciate your honesty and the fact that you guys don't want to be pedophiles, you won't be marrying either of us."
"Yeah! You're all a bunch of butt faces!" Mabel shouted before one of her captors covered her mouth. "Listen, you don't want to mess with us gnomes. You two don't know what we're capable of. We're a powerful race so do not trifle with-" He was interrupted by Dipper easily scooping him up with a shovel and tossing him away. We ran forward, knocking away the other gnomes and cutting the bindings easily with the shovel's edge.
I picked Mable up and the three of us ran to the golf cart. "Seat belts." I reminded them before reversing and speeding out of the clearing. We could faintly hear the shouts of the gnomes behind us. "Hurry, before they catch us!" Shouted Mable and Dipper patted her on the shoulder. "I wouldn't worry about it. Did you see their little legs? Those suckers are tiny."
A roar from behind us drew the twins's attention away and their eyes widened. "(Y/n)!! DRIVE FASTER!!" I looked in the side view mirror and was shocked to see a giant sized gnome monster. "Dipper! Does that journal of yours say anything about the gnomes being able to do THAT?!"
"Checking!" He said, flipping through the pages of the book as I swerved and tried to dodge incoming gnome attacks. Unfortunately some got on the roof and tried climbing down for an attack. Mable punched one in the face, Dipper whacked one with the journal, and I slammed one into the steering wheel before throwing him away. "Nothing in here, sis! I don't think the author knew about it!" Said Dipper, finally finding the page.
I let out a yelp as a gnome that landed on the hood of the cart tried to attack me. I dodged but he attacked Dipper's face instead, my brother screaming in panic. "I'll save you. Dipper!" Exclaimed Mable as she repeatedly punched the offender in the side. He finally flew out of the cart, but took Dipper's star hat with him. "Thanks, Mable.." He said, his rolling slightly to the side, a little stunned after taking some damage meant for the gnome. "Don't mention it"
Behind us, we heard the giant grunt with effort, as well as the sound of ruffling leaves. A shadow passed over us and my eyes widened as a whole tree, complete with roots crashed onto the path ahead of us. "Hang on!" I swerved the cart and it drifted underneath the fallen tree, and spun dangerously before coming to a complete halt in front of the Mystery Shack.
Dipper leapt out of the vehicle and faced the monster with the shovel from before. I held the bat in my hands, standing beside him and in front of my sister. "Stay back!" the male twin shouted, throwing the shovel at the monster who promptly punched in down into the ground. Our eyes widened and I grabbed Dipper's shoulder, bringing him behind me too. "Where's Grunkle Stan?" He asked, holing onto his sister in fright. Indeed, he was no where to be found.
"It's the end of the line, kids." Said the head gnome, at the very top of the monster. "You, Mable's sister, marry us before we do something crazy." My right eye began to burn even more and Mable grabbed my hand, taking the bat away. "I have an idea." I somehow understood what she meant and nodded, stepping forward. "Fine, I'll do it. Just leave my family alone."
"What?! (Y/n), are you crazy? There's gotta be another way!" Panicked Dipper, taking the journal out of his vest. "Trust me. I've got it all under control." I said, smiling softly and petting his fluffy hair. He nodded sadly and he and Mable stood away from me. "She'll do it, Jeff. (Y/n) will marry you."
'His name is Jeff?'
"Hot dog!" Said the gnome happily, ordering the others to let him down. "Also, (Y/n)! That's a pretty name! I like it!" He walked in front of me, not noticing how my siblings disappeared from their original positions. Jeff held out a leather box with a shining diamond ring inside. He motioned to his mouth, indicating that he wanted me to kiss him. I felt nauseated but shook my head, offering my left hand. He slid the jewelry onto my ring finger with a smile. "Batta Bing Batta Bam! Now let's get you back into the forest, Honey."
I laughed softly. "You may now kiss the bride." The gnome stopped and looked back at me. "Well, don't mind if I do." He puckered up and I pretended to lean in, only for Mable to switch on the hidden leaf blower beside me in a pile of leaves. Jeff's eyes widened as I pointed it at him threateningly. "Woah, woah hey, what's going on here?" He said in panic as he was sucked into the leaf blower. I handed it to my sister with a smirk.
"That's for lying to me!" She announced, glaring at the captured creature who looked back at her with fear. She switched the leaf blower into reverse.
"This is for breaking my heart." The gnome yelped in pain as the suction got to him, the pressure building till it was like a balloon ready to burst.
"And this is for messing with m family!" She pointed to the gnome monster who let out a collective gasp. "Do you wanna do the honors?"
"On three!" Dipper announced, holding onto a leaver on the device. "One.. Two.. Three!!" We chanted as he shoved the lever to 'F' an Jeff went flying into the giant, making it explode into a thousand gnomes. "AHHH!! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!!" The leader screamed as he flew away into the forest with the remaining momentum. The result was chaos. Gnomes sat in piles, wondering who was going to give them orders and complaining about being sore. Mable used the leaf blower, making them yell and run for the forest in fear. One ended up getting caught in some trash which was picked up the local goat, Gompers.
I walked over to the creature, who's captive was screaming in panic. I held the goat in place and gently released the gnome before taking off the ring and handing it to him. "Here, take this back to Jeff. I don't need it." He nodded before running away into the brush. Looking back, I noticed Dipper and Mable heading back into the shack. I caught up to them but Mable stopped us.
"Um.. hey guys. I'm.. uh.. I'm sorry for ignoring your guys's advice. You really were just looking out for me."
"Hey don't be like that," reassured Dipper. "You totally saved our butts back there."
"I guess I'm just sad that my first boyfriend turned out to be a bunch of gnomes."
"Look on the bright side. Maybe your next boyfriend will be a vampire."
The two of them laughed. "Awkward sibling hug?" The male twin offered and she nodded. "Awkward sibling hug." They embraced, ending it off with a "pat pat" which made me smile. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. (Y/n), thanks for almost marrying Jeff to protect us. I'm sorry for what I said before. I really thought you would accept my new boyfriend and when you didn't I was really hurt."
"It's okay, Shooting Star. I know you didn't mean it. Plus, after what all we've been through today, I think we both know we forgive each other. Just don't go expecting me to "get engaged" to any of your next summer romances. I'm not ready for that kind of commitment." Mable giggled and we headed into the shop.
"Yeesh, what happened to you three? Did you get hit by a bus or something?" Grunkle Stan laughed and we rolled our eyes, heading for the stair way. There was a moment of silence before he called out to us. "Hey wait. Uh.. we happened to accidentally get too much merch in stock so.. how about you guys pick something out for yourselves. On the house, y'know?"
"Really?" Mable and I said in shock. "What's the catch?" questioned Dipper. "The catch is pick something out before I change my mind." Replied our Grunkle Stan. Mable rushed around, looking at every single thing. Dipper walked over to a row of blue and white hats with pine trees on them. "This should do the trick." He said with a smile, looking at himself in the mirror. Mable gasped and rummaged through a box of books. "I'll chose a..." she spun around and I assumed she chose a pink one to be a diary but she opened her arms to reveal a "GRAPPLING HOOK!" she exclaimed.
Grunkle Stan, Dipper, and I all looked at each other in confusion. "Aren't you gonna pick out a doll or something?"
"GRAPPLING HOOK!" She exclaimed again, shooting it and hanging from a ceiling beam. "Fair enough." Laughed Grunkle Stan as the kids ran off to their room. I looked over toward the a case of jewelry. I walked over and noticed a beautiful necklace. I took it out of the case and hung it around my heck. It fit perfectly.
Grunkle Stan looked at me with a small smirk. "I'm surprised you picked that one out, kid. It's been in the shop for such a long time I was partially convinced no one would take it." I looked down at the charm and I smiled as I began to leave the room. "I'm not entirely sure myself why I chose it, but I did and I don't regret it. G'night Grunkle Stan."
-(3rd Person)-
Dipper lay down on his bed, writing on an empty page in the journal. Mable jumped up and down on the twin bed parallel to his, laughing at her own antics and giddy with her new tool.
'The journal told me there was no one in Gravity Falls I could trust. But when you battle a hundred gnomes with people by your side, you realize that they've probably got your back."
Outside, on the roof, sat (Y/n), her (h/c) hair flowing behind her in the breeze. An (e/c) eye scanned the horizon while the second one was hidden from the world behind a black eye patch. She waved to Grunkle Stan, who was finishing closing up shop, before climbing back through her bedroom window, shutting it behind her.
'Our Uncle told us that there was nothing strange about this town, but who knows what other secrets are waiting to be unlocked?'
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom on the first day of school. Jotaro walked to the first class of his Senior year, the pink flowers covering the road around him. "Yare Yare..." he murmured as the sounds of girls reached his ears. This was just more reason to skip school. He hated girls, and just being in the vicinity of one usually alerted the others as they practically screamed their lungs out trying to get his attention.
He slowed himself down to prevent being spotted, more cherry blossoms swirling in the breeze. He couldn't help but admire the beauty of his surrounding scenery. Japan had been everything he'd ever known, and he wouldn't be surprised if he kept it that way. Suddenly, as he turned a corner, he felt someone run right into him from behind. "Oof!" came a feminine voice as Jotaro turned around to see what fricker decided to run into him.
She was indeed a girl, but not one that Jotaro had ever seen before. The girl in question had (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes. The reflection of the sun's rays and the swirling blossoms enhanced her already incredible beauty. "Sorry, sir." she said nervously, quickly running away passed him. She blushed out of embarrassment, not at the sight of seeing him, and avoided eye contact. Jotaro was left in shock. Who was that girl?
.... and why did she make his heartbeat suddenly increase?
Later that day, as he quietly ate his lunch, he saw her again. Once again, her beauty took his breath away. She calmly walked by and didn't even notice him as she sat down at a bench nearby. "Who is she?" Jotaro wondered, quickly averting his eyes when the girl looked in his direction, probably getting the feeling she was being watched. She looked away a few seconds afterward.
Not even 15 minutes afterward, there came voices and feet running. "Oh boy, here we go again.." Thought Jotaro as he recognised the light footsteps of girls. "HEY!" Came one voice and he looked over to see a group of three girls all crowding the mystery girl. "Umm.. hi?" She said nervously as they were rather close to her.
"What do you think you're doing in our seat?" Another said, glaring at her now. "Oh, is this your seat? I'm sorry, I'm new here and didn't know." Jotaro was shocked that she was just backing down like that. "You are? What's your name then?"
"(Y-y/n)"
Never had such a name struck Jotaro's heart before. He wanted to know more, but he stayed low, pretending not to care. "Well (y-y/n), Get out of our seat and don't cross us again. By the way, do you know who that boy over there is?" Jotaro could feel her eyes on him. "I accidentally bumped into him earlier, but no I don't know who he is. Should I?"
"Of course the one girl I want to notice me doesn't even know who I am." Jotaro thought bitterly, listening to the deep sighs of love the other girl let loose. "That hunk of hot over there is Jotaro Kujo. He's the most popular boy in school, and super dreamy. Every girl in this school wants him I swear. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from my future boyfriend and never even think about him."
(Y/n) blinked in confusion as suddenly the others chimed in saying, "No, he's my future boyfriend idiot!" She began to pack up her things and back away slowly, like she was trying to move quietly away from a T-Rex. Then she took off running. Jotaro smiled and shook his head. "She knows what's good for her, but she doesn't want to get in trouble. Dang, what a cutie..."
Over the course of the day, he found out more about (y/n). She played both guitar and piano, had (number) sibling(s), and had recently moved from America. She was rather shy, but when Jotaro heard her singing softly on her way home, he couldn't help but get lost in (y/n)'s voice. She was singing "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen, and her voice sounded like a choir of angels. Jotaro was so distracted he almost missed his street. Though longing to follow her voice and learn even more about her, he knew she would get creeped out. So he left her to her own devices.
As the months passed, Jotaro finally got the chance to talk to her when he found her alone on the school roof, quietly playing a guitar and singing "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. When she finished, he applauded, startling her greatly. "O-oh, sorry, is this your spot?" She asked, trembling slightly as she looked down at her finished bento box. "No, it's a free roof, I just come up here sometimes." (Y/n) nodded and was about to pick up her things when Jotaro interrupted her.
"(Y/n), right? I really like your singing." Jotaro was trying to be smooth, gain her confidence and trust before making a move. (Y/n) blushed at the compliment and said a small thank you. As she began to walk through the doorway, Jotaro decided to put his two cents in. "Would you maybe come back here tomorrow? I'll be here if you decide to." He knew (y/n) heard him as she left and prayed that she would be there.
Jotaro's prayer was heard and answered as he found (Y/n) there the next day. He couldn't help but smile as she played music, just the two of them there, no one else but them. Sometimes he would sing along with her and that made (y/n) smile. She was only in a few of the same classes with Jotaro, and she they were, they would silently acknowledge each other, and if they got partnered up for a project, (like marine biology essays) they would gladly sit next to each other, the other girls cursing in their jealous minds.
As time went by, Jotaro found himself in a bad situation and left to fight for his mother's life in Egypt, leaving (Y/n) behind alone and wondering where he had gone. As fifty long and painful days rolled by, Jotaro couldn't stop thinking about the day he would finally return to her. They would sit together on the school roof, eating and singing together. He missed her so much, and Jotaro hoped with all his heart she hadn't found someone to replace him.
Finally, when the fight was over, during an overnight stay at the hospital, Jotaro smiled as he imagined her reaction to his return, promptly falling asleep from lack of sleep and over exhaustion. After a long plane ride, Jotaro could hardly wait to go back to school, where his sweetheart was. Everyone has survived the trip, and a new friend would be introduced to his school. Noriaki Kakyoin. Jotaro silently hoped (y/n) Would like him as he lead his fellow crusader up the stairs to the school roof and heard his (Y/n)'s sweet voice for the first time in almost two months.
She was singing softly to herself, "Yesterday" by the Beatles, and it made Jotaro blush. Now, everyone on the Crusaders team knew that Jotaro was hardcore crushing on this mystery girl and Kakyoin smiled when he was his friend blush at the sight of her. Not only that, he was honored to meet the girl who could easily capture the heart of someone as tough as Jotaro Kujo.
When the song was over, both males clapped and she was startled. Turning around, (y/n)'s eyes widened when she saw her missing friend in the doorway. "JOTARO!" she said in shock and obvious delight as she ran over and hugged him. Jotaro wasted no time in hugging back, and soon after, introducing his new friend. (Y/n) was flattered and smiled as she shook the hand of the red head before her.
When the bell rang to signal the End of lunch, (Y/n) quickly packed her things and said her goodbyes before leaving. Kakyoin smiled at Jotaro's love struck expression and laughed softly, "you'll have to tell her eventually, otherwise she might fall for someone else." Jotaro knew this already and soon had his plan in motion. Week passed and soon had her alone, as some girls went looking for Kakyoin and Jotaro but with disappointing results.
He walked (Y/n) home and finally had her walking alone with him when he made the bold move of holding her hand. (Y/n) looked at him with a blush, but complied, holding his hand as well. This made Jotaro happy and when they arrived at their destination, he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, quickly turning away. As he began his way home, Jotaro heard (Y/n) call after him. "Thank you for always being there for me, Jotaro. I have a feeling I don't even need me to say I love you for you to know."
Jotaro blushed and smiled, turning his head to look at her. "You don't need to worry, because I knew you loved me when I first heard you sing. (Y/n), that's the kind of song you are to me."

A Second Chance? (Miles Edgeworth x Detective!reader) -some angst at the beginning, but a nice ending- Miles Edgeworth was a relatively lonely kid. He was considered a loner by some, and by others they thought he was a bit stuck up. After all, his father was a famous defense attorney, and his family therefore was rather wealthy. However, this didn’t mean that he actually was the way the rumors depicted him to be. He had some friends, three to be exact. Larry Butz, Phoenix Wright, and a girl named (Y/n) (L/n). Together they were the signal samurai, and had corresponding key chains to prove their friendship. They would constantly hang out together and they seemed like quite the group, but they were happy... at least, some of them were. Miles had a crush on (Y/n), however hard he tried he couldn’t get rid of it, and everyday it seemed like she just got closer and closer to him. ‘Why can’t I just tell her?’ he thought one say, heading home from school. His father knew that his son liked someone, and had gotten a description of the girl from his flustered and embarrassed child, but he had never met her before. He had met Miles’s male companions, but never the girl who captured his young heart. “ Over dinner, Gregory Edgeworth asked his son about school. “It was fun, I suppose. Phoenix, Larry, (Y/n) and I played on the jungle-gym and Larry fell off.” “My goodness! Was he okay?” “Yes, he was fine. He laughed it off but he was bleeding. (Y/n) gave him a bandage for it. She’s so prepared for almost anything.” Gregory watched his son’s face flush red and a small smile creep up onto his face. “You really do like this (Y/n) quite a lot, don’t you, my boy?” Miles nearly choked on his drink. “F-father! She’s just a friend, nothing else!” Gregory smiled, “That blush on your face says otherwise.” ‘Curse his sharp observation skills.’ Thought Miles, his blush growing. “So what if I like her? It doesn’t mean that she’ll possess the same feelings I do.” “You’ll never know unless you tell her. Plus, you two are friends, I doubt it will change anything if she doesn’t.” That quote would stay with Miles, haunting him for many years. The next day, after school, (Y/n) decided to walk with him after school back home. They lived relatively close to each other, so it wasn’t uncommon to see them leaving school together. ‘She’s so close..’ Thought the young Edgeworth, and his father’s words and he decided now was a better time than never. Oh, but how life can play such cruel tricks. “(Y/n) I have something to tell you.” “Hm? What is it Miles?” “I lo-” Just then two teenage boys walked over to them and shoved the two children away. “Beat it losers.” Said one of the older boys, the other chuckling as Miles hit his head on the iron gate behind him and fell down onto the pavement. Miles’s head hurt so much. A headache to be sure, but also frustration toward the teenagers. “Meanies! Shove off you big bullies!” (Y/n) yelled at the older boys and tuned to help Miles up. “Are you okay?” She held her hand out to her fallen friend. This, of course, flared up Miles’ anger, due to the pain of his headache and the humiliation of being pushed around right in front of his crush and having her defend him like he was a damsel in distress. He slapped her hand away and glared at her. “I’m fine, shut up won’t you? Gosh you’re so annoying! Just leave me alone!” He realized what he said the moment he looked her in the eyes. There were unshed tears threatening to fall. “O-oh... I’m sorry. I’ll leave. Bye.” As Miles reached out to grab her hand and make her stay, she ran from him, leaving him alone on the sidewalk. That night, he couldn’t sleep a wink. The next day at school, he tried to speak to (Y/n) but she did everything in her power to avoid him. It was killing Miles slowly and Larry and Phoenix could see that something happened. The moment that Miles got close to (Y/n), she would leave. They got concerned for their friends, especially since they knew a certain girl’s secret. Phoenix was the one to ask (Y/n) about
what was going on and she told him about what happened. “It doesn’t help that I’m moving away tomorrow.. I was kinda hoping I could confess to him by then, but I guess that’ll never happen.” That day (Y/n), Phoenix, and Larry walked to (Y/n)’s house to say their last goodbyes, and by the next morning, (Y/n)’s family was gone. When Miles came to school, a few flowers in his backpack for (Y/n), he noticed something weird. She wasn’t there. When he asked the teacher where she was, his heart nearly stopped. “Sh-she moved away?” Miles was crushed. He had broken (Y/n)’s heart, as Larry had told him the previous day, and now he would never be able to make things right. (Y/n) (L/n), the girl he had been pining for, was gone and he’d probably never see her again. --Time Skip-- It had been almost 15 years since that fateful day when (Y/n) moved away, and to this day, Miles still regretted what he did. At that current moment, however, he had been called in to check out a murder case. His bright red sports car parked in the drive way and he walked into the house. Detective Gumshoe was already in the house, outside of the crime scene. "Good morning, Detective. What do we have for today?" "Ah! Mr. Edgeworth, Sir! I'm actually waiting for my new partner to arrive. My niece just got out of training and is a full fledged detective now. She's gonna join me on this case, sir." Miles was surprised. "You never told me you had a niece, much less siblings. Congratulations on your new partner. What's her name?" "Her name's (Y/n). Come to think of it, she's actually your age, Mr. Edgeworth, Sir." Miles's heart sped up a little. 'Did he say (Y/n)?' Just then, both of them heard the front door to the house open, and footsteps coming closer. "Uncle Gumshoe.. er, sir. I'm sorry I'm a little late, I got caught in some traffic." Miles looked toward the voice and his eyes began to widen. She had grown older and taller, but he'd recognize her anywhere. "It's no problem, (Y/n). Oh, before you go in, I want you to meet someone! This is Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth. He's been assigned to this case as well." At the mention of the name, (Y/n) looked toward Miles for the first time in almost 15 years. She seemed shocked to see him. "Oh. Umm. Hello, Mr. Edgeworth. It's nice to see you again. It's been a while, hasn't it? It's an honor to be working with you." 'Mr. Edgeworth?' He thought, not liking how it sounded coming from her. "Hold the phone, you two have met before?" Her uncle said, looking a little surprised. (Y/n) nodded. "We spent a few years of school together. Anyway, we should get to work." Miles could not believe his luck. Almost 15 years, and the universe has given him another chance. 'But does she still feel the way she did when we were kids?' He wondered, entering the crime scene. "The victim is a rich 32 year old man named Mr. Daniel Myres. He was stabbed to death with a sharp object." Read Detective Gumshoe from the autopsy report, giving it to Miles. The body was gone from the room, the chalk outline being left behind. There was blood on the floor, slightly dried, but not entirely. "There's multiple things wrong with this room." Said (Y/n), squatting down to get a better look at a pile of glass by the window. Miles nodded, "Detective Gumshoe, do we have any potential weapons in police possession?" "Yes sir. There was a butchers knife found in the victim's back with his blood on it. Not only that, but aparently, the victim's neighbor, Kenny Longoth, is the prime suspect in the murder because the victim's wife claims she saw him kill her husband." "Was there any fingerprints found on the knife for proof?" Asked (Y/n), putting some gloves on and looking toward the window where the supposed killer entered. "Yes, the victim's and wife's fingerprints were on it, but that's it. So the Mr. Kenny probably used gloves." Miles looked around the room and heard a soft laugh. Turned around, he saw (Y/n) looking out of the broken window. "I don't think the accused is the one who killed the victim. I
believe that our supposed eye witnesses might have killed her husband. There's glass from the window outside on the ground meaning that the glass was broken from the inside. Have someone take a pictures of that as proof of evidence. Someone should probably also check the kitchen. I think a butchers knife should be missing." A police officer went outside to take a picture and check the kitchen while Detective Gumshoe had to leave the room to make a phone call. Miles decided now was as good a time as any to finally talk to her. "It seems life has served you well?" He said, looking around for any decisive evidence. "I suppose." She replied, continuing her own search. "How about you? I thought you wanted to be a defense attorney like your father." "Well.. Life had different plans for me. I thought you wanted to be an artist?" She smirked and looked toward Miles. "I guess Life had different plans for me." The prosecutor blushed slightly and smiled at her. "Mr. Edgeworth, how are Phoenix and La-" "Miles." (Y/n) looked back at him in confusion. "What?" "You can call me Miles. You know that. We're friends." 'Ah, yes, there's that familiar sting.' (Y/n) looked away. "I thought you wanted me to stay away from you." Miles frowned, "I know I said that.. but I was only because I was embarrassed. I just got pushed around in front of you and then you tried to help me. I thought you would think I was weak and my head hurt so I snapped at you. Then you moved away and I... I never got to apologize. I didn't mean to hurt you.. I wanted to tell you how much you meant to me." There was a soft silence in the room and nobody said a word. Miles felt his heart sink. "I- forget I said anything. I'm sorry." "No, don't apologize. I'm sorry too. I made you think I hated you or something like that. I forgave you a long time ago, Miles. It wasn't fair of me as well to leave so suddenly and not say goodbye to you." Edgeworth blushed at the mention of his name, and she continued. "How did you feel about me back then?" "I... I loved you. I was quite attracted to you and wanted to tell you, but those highschoolers interrupted me." (Y/n) looked at him in shock, a bright red blush growing on her face. "Y-you loved me??" Miles blushed even harder now and he heard his father's words. "You'll never know unless you tell her." "I'd be lying if I didn't still feel attracted to you." There was a warmth in his chest as he looked at her smiling face. "How about we talk more about this over coffee? Tomorrow morning before the trial?" "I'd love to." Just then, Detective Gumshoe came back and explained the situation. Mrs. Myres was under arrest and was going to be present at the trial the next day. The sun was high in the sky when the two detectives and the prosecutor exited the building. Lots had been learned and for two of them, feelings that both of them thought were lost were rekindled, burning brighter than ever. "See you tomorrow, Miles!" (Y/n) called out, the corresponding male looking back at her and smiling, waving to her before entering his car. 'I've gotten a second chance. I'm not about to screw this one up too.'
Can't wait for more ego content this year!

I sat in my and Bulma's shared room one rainy afternoon. Frowning, I looked at an old scanner on the dresser. As the rain hit the window pane with a comforting tapping sound my thoughts wandered and I wondered how my other family was doing.
'Should I talk to her? It's been about a week..' This device was the only way I could talk to my daughter. She was the offspring of my first wife, Celeste, and she was part of the the neko race. Unfortunately, my late bride died right after giving birth to my baby girl.
Her name is (Y/n). It sounds weird. Me, the prince of all saiyans, having a half Saiyan, half neko daughter, but she's incredibly sweet, and absolutely terrifying in battle.
Or so I've been told.
(Y/n) currently lived with her grandparents (her mother's parents) on the planet Nekorata. It had once been a planet ruled by Freiza, but it had been liberated soon after Kakarot defeated him.
I sighed thinking of the baby girl I had to leave behind after I was told to leave under Freiza's direct orders. I had given her grandparents, my mother and father-in-laws, another scanner so that we could keep in touch. Fortunately we had for many years, but lately, it's been mainly (Y/n) I talked to. She told me they hadn't been doing too well as of late, and the doctor told her they didn't have too much longer.
I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to know if she was okay. I need to know.
Bulma knew I had a wife before her. She even knew I had a daughter, and she's even gotten to talk to her. 'Bulma is technically her step mom, and Trunks her step brother.. maybe she could live with us? It wouldn't hurt to have another Saiyan on earth, even if she is half neko.'
I quickly got up from my sitting position and grabbed the scanner, placing it over my eye, I turned it on and started a call. Not even three blips after, I heard her voice. "Hello, father!" I smiled, "Hi there (Y/n), how are you?"
There was a small pause and a sigh. "Gran and Gramps passed away this morning."
I frowned, "I'm so sorry, Princess. Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah. I'm okay. Just a bit sad. I'll be alright though."
"So, are you still going to live at their house?"
"I don't know. Probably. I haven't decided yet."
I nodded. "Well, I haven't asked Bulma yet, but I was considering asking you to move in with me. I know it's a long journey to and from Nekorata and earth, but..."
I heard a gasp and a giggle from the other line. "Dad, that would be awesome, and no it won't be a long journey. I learned a technique called Instant transmission a week ago. I think humans call it teleportation. All I'd need you to do is raise your energy level super high."
"REALLY?!" I exclaimed in suprise. Bulma poked her head into the room, "Hey Vegeta, is everything okay?" I nodded, then quickly asked her before she left. "Bulma, could we have (Y/n) live with us?" She looked suprised for a second then smiled. "I don't see why not. There's plenty of room here."
"Oh my gosh really?!" Came (Y/n)'s voice over the scanner. She heard everything. Bulma laughed, "Of course sweetheart. Mi casa es su casa." Laughter could be heard from my daughter. "Thank you so much!"
I smiled and kissed Bulma's cheek. She blushed and left the room. "Do you want me to raise my power level now?" I asked and (Y/n) replied no. "Gran and Gramp's will still has to be read. And I have to decide what to do with the estate."
"Okay, contact me when you're ready okay? Can you give me an estimate maybe?"
"About a week, if that's okay. I'll update you if something is held back a bit.
I chatted a bit more before hanging up. It had been 18 years since I had last seen her and I was a bit nervous. It certainly would be different, but not unwelcome. 'I just have to wait a week.'
-Time Skip-
A week went by quickly and no difficulty reports had been given by (Y/n). Finally, the day came when I would see her again. Bulma had decided to invite some of the others over in celebration of her arrival. "So, who's coming to earth, Vegeta?" Asked Katarot looking at me expectantly. I rolled my eyes. "My daughter. Don't you ever pay attention?"
"I wonder how strong she is.."
I hit him in annoyance. "She's coming to earth for the first time and I'm going to be seeing her for the first time in 18 years and all you can think about is sparing with her?!"
There was a harty laugh from the others as suddenly the scanner rang. "Alright. Whenever you're ready, so am I." Came her happy voice. "Alright then." I hung up and turned to everyone. "Don't be suprised when she arrives. She's using instant transmission to get here." Goku nodded eagerly, probably happy someone else knew how to use that move too.
Flying into the air and closing my eyes, I raised my power level as high as it could go, powering up to Super Sayian 2. Suddenly I felt a high energy right in front of me. Opening my eyes, I saw a beautiful young woman with (e/c) eyes, (h/c) hair, and (white/black/brown) cat ears and a matching tail. I couldn't help but smile as my power turned off and I returned to normal. "Hello father!" I smiled and brought her into a hug. This was a rare interaction for me, but I felt it was needed. Especially for her, and I smiled even more when she hugged back.
"Woah! It that his daughter? Her power level is so high!" Came Kakarot's voice and I sighed then chuckled as I heard a slap and a shrill voice telling him off for ruining the moment.
(Y/n) laughed and smiled as we floated down to the others. The first to greet her was Bulma who brought her into a hug, which was gladly returned. Second was a shy looking Trunks. (Y/n) got on one knee and smiled at him. "So you're my little brother? Wow, you remind me so much of dad. It's nice to meet you." He nodded shyly and she smiled.
The others were introduced, Kakarot being second last. "Hi, I'm Goku! It's nice to meet you! Are those cat ears and tail real? How powerful are you? Do you wanna spar with me sometime?" (Y/n) looked rather suprised and I growled in annoyance. "Really Kakarot?" Now she looked confused. "Wait. Is your name Goku or Kakarot?"
He sighed softly, "Well, my Saiyan name is Kakarot, and my earth name is Goku. I grew up on earth so..." (Y/n) nodded joyfully and her ears swiveled around, picking up multiple noises. "Alright then. Your name will be Goku! It's easier to remember." He smiled happily and I rolled my eyes.
Last was Kakrot's son, Gohan. He blushed quite a bit and shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you Miss (Y/n). My name's Son Gohan. The man you met before me is my father." He greeted her politely. 'Finally, someone with manners.' She blushed slightly too. "I assumed so. You two looked a lot alike. It's nice to meet you too Gohan."
-Time Skip-
(Gohan's POV)
By the time we had arrived home, I already wanted to go back. "Vegeta's daughter sure is a cutie, don't you think?" Said my mother happily as we walked through the door of our house. I only nodded as I remembered her beautiful eyes and the way she made me smile. 'She was so beautiful..' I thought dreamily as I got ready for bed.
(Y/n)'s POV)
I lay in bed for the first night on earth. 'The people here are so friendly. Especially that Gohan boy..' she blushed at the memory of the shy and polite boy who's eyes she could get lost in, and who's voice could lure her in more than a siren's could. 'I don't exactly belive in love at first sight, but I think I might be falling for you, Son Gohan..'
(Both)
'I can't wait to see you again.'

Surface Pressure
Deep down he really does care about his “brothers”
He thinks he needs to keep up the tough guy act to make them think he isn’t afraid
He is
He REALLY is
He’s worried about the space/time continuum, keeping order, and making sure the ipliers’ existence stays a secret
He tries not to let the others see the tears that involuntarily start to fall as Louisa sings about her struggles as the strongest sister
Wilford
He probably heard all of the songs before watching the movie
He wouldn’t really cry for any of them in particular (feeling that he doesn’t necessarily relate to any of them)
However
He would look at certain egos to watch their reactions during different songs
He would notice the small things that happen and slowly learn more about his “brothers” based on the musical numbers and their lyrics
After the movie, he’d probably go and visit the egos that had the worst reactions (who got the most emotional or those who would straight up leave the room)
He did get a little bothered listening to “Dos Oruguitas” though
He didn’t get emotional per say
But watching Pedro die with the love song in the background kinda reminded him of when he lost Celine
Fortunately, he opted not to dwell on it too much
Actor
Waiting On A Miracle
This boy is INSECURE because of his breakup with Celine
Is he good enough?
Has he done enough?
Is he really worthy of anything?
He wants to be better
He wants his life to be better
But everything seems to slip through his fingers, coming back to resent him later on
He just wants someone to open their eyes and see that he’s worth their time, even if that person is Dark
Mirabel dancing on screen, singing about how she wished to be noticed as part of the family, made Actor tear up, wiping them away before someone could see them
Eventually, it got to be too much (especially seeing how Mirabel was pushed away by her family after trying to help them) and he left the room, using the excuse of getting more snacks
As soon as he entered the kitchen, he had a silent breakdown

Surface Pressure
I can’t really hear Louisa sing “I’m pretty sure I’m worthless if I can’t be of service” without thinking about Google and his first objective
Yes, his secondary objective is relatively important, but the first one is.. Well it’s his PRIMARY objective
If he can’t do anything other than hurt people, then what is the point of him being there?
His optics widen and his mechanical heart speeds up
“How do you feel?” survey pops up and he clicks on one
“I’m in this picture and I don’t like it”
Bingiplier
What Else Can I Do?
He’s imperfect
That’s all I really need to say, but I’ll continue
He’s always compared to Google and he knows deep down that he’s worth more than his search bar abilities
He doesn’t want to be perfect like Google
He just wants to be himself, which is hard when everyone is always doting on him for every mistake he makes
Isabella creating spiky plants and beautiful flowers in front of him makes his optics widen and he slowly smiles, feeling an odd mixture of happiness and sadness as he watches her accept her imperfections in spite of her family’s expectations
Dr. Iplier
He doesn’t really get emotional during the songs
However
When it’s revealed that Bruno has been shunned by his family because of his gift, he smiled sadly
“How unfortunate,” he thought, “for someone to be abandoned because of something uncontrollable and never be spoken of again for fear of taboo”
He’s seen patients in the hospital who never have anyone visit them
He always feels sad when he finds out that someone has been abandoned
He secretly makes trips to animal shelters for that reason, to visit the abandoned animals and give them some love
He gets happy again when Bruno is reunited with his loved ones who welcome him back with open arms
Yandereplier
Dos Oruguitas
He wouldn’t relate to any of the English songs enough to have a real reaction
He gets emotional during certain parts of the movie because he recognizes a lot of what’s going on in the Madrigal family (Toxic family roles and stuff like that)
He feels bad for the characters (especially Mirabel and Bruno)
But when “Dos Oruguitas” starts playing and we find out the heartbreaking truth behind Abuelo Pedro’s death
WHOOOO BOY the tears start FLOWING
He hates to imagine the pain Abuela went through, losing the love of her life
Yandere, being a very romantic man, can’t stand the thought of his own senpai leaving him
Like, she’s everything to him!
He’d become very protective of her after watching this movie, afraid of anyone taking her away from him
He’s fine with the movie though, loves the music for the most part
Yancy
Friggin ALL OF THE SONGS
He loves music and finds each of them so amazing
He also kinda relates to each of the English sung songs in their own way (except “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”)
WOAM: The want to be extraordinary and help others
SP: The need to be the tough one and look out for his fellow prisoners and weaker “brothers”
WECAD: The want to live life how he wants without being the picture perfect civilian that the world wants him to be
He thinks very highly of this movie and loves it to bits
He does eventually become frustrated with how often “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” gets sung by people both online and in real life
Like, he gets that it’s a catchy song, but still, give it a break
Illinois
Waiting On A Miracle
Yes, Illinois is a special adventurous and flirtatious boy
But not everything is really as it seems with him
His whole “Everyone falls in love with me” act is a facade
He’s trying to convince himself that he’s loved / cared about by someone
He took up adventuring to be different
To be a conversation starter
To be interesting so that somebody
ANYBODY
Would look his way and want to be around him
After all..
He wasn’t special or cool enough growing up to have many / any friends
He sees way too much of himself in Mirabel and ends up leaving the group for a few minutes to cry in the bathroom
Engineer Mark
Waiting On A Miracle
What else needs to be said?
If given pictures of Engineer and Mirabel everyone would say they were the same image
Insecure
Feels unwanted
Wants to be impressive and help those around him with his talents and ideas
Hides behind a false persona of happiness
THEY
ARE
THE
SAME
PERSON
He’s close to leaving the room but stays put, activating his space helmet which is also soundproof so no one can see / hear him start to cry
Poor man can’t hear “Waiting On A Miracle” without having a breakdown
