Reblogging because I cannot sit here in silence and watch Jonathan lose in the first round.
Vote Jonathan Sims (please)
Had a dream someone texted me this and woke up in a cold sweat
arthur was right about many things, the most right thing being the need for a little journal to draw every single creature you stare at for three seconds and a place to call people (yourself included) fools. boy, look at this fucked up dog. now this duck. now see here is when i met an elder blind prophet and he said something about the end an era in an ominous but factual way. another duck.
Literally wanted to cry the first time I heard him say this about himself.
“Sour faced idiot…”
Oh, I love him so much. I just had to draw him like this. He’s so handsome, but he unfortunately sees himself as ugly as the deeds he’s done. They could never make me hate you, Arthur 😔
The visceral rage that just filled my body
Yall know the mission "My Last Boy"? Yeah the one where Dutch sends a bunch of the native Americans to their deaths, the one where Arthur leads Dutch to the money, the one where Arthur gets steam blown in the face, where Dutch leaves him and he would have died if it wasn't for Eagle Flies? Yeah that one. Arthur isn't paid anything for that mission.
Instead we are given a little message saying "the other half is split between the gang members who worked the job" meaning Dutch does not think Arthur contributed in that mission. He killed all those folk, he fought, he almost died and he showed Dutch the location of the money, yet he didn't get anything because he didn't work it apparently.
Dear Lord, how they hurt me
Hosea, a man who’s willing to face and accept the parts within himself and the realities of the life he’s lived vs Dutch, a man who’s clawing and fighting and resisting; who’s refusing to see the truth even when it’s right in front of him.
Hosea, a man romanticizing the past vs Dutch, a man romanticizing the future.
And their son Arthur— stuck between them in the present, trying to figure out his place in things.
I die a little every time I imagine him taking the time to write this down.
You’re a good man, Arthur Morgan.
Writing reads: “My whole code that I lived and killed by. Was it true? Or was there a bigger truth I was too dumb to ever see?”
Quote and hand-writing style taken directly from Arthur’s in-game journal.
