"How do you even do this?" Will asked as he threw himself onto the bed, too tired to even change his clothes. His eyes opened for a few seconds. When the sky indicated that the sun would soon rise, he turned on his other side as a form of protest.

"No, no, Will," Hannibal called and gracefully patted his shoulder, "You are staining the sheets with blood, it's quite a challenge to deal with that. I'll wash you, you don't even need to be awake," he insisted as he debated whether carrying him owards the bathtub would be an option.

"I'm dead, leave me alone."

"There's no point in going to sleep. We have to go to the fish market in two hours anyway," Hannibal said as he started undressing, while one of the trains of thought in his mind debated what to cook later that day.

"I trust you enough to let you go on your own," Will replied as he grabbed the pillow on Hannibal's side of the bed and hugged it to his chest, positioning himself in fetal position.

"My pillow..." Hannibal said, "Had it been your own blood, I would have had no issue, darling. I still can't comprehend how you managed to get that much blood inside your plastic suit."

Will snored in response. Hannibal's voice had always been the best lullaby.

"I take it we are not going for a run later."

Because Will and Hannibal give off serious dad vibes (especially Will). The moment I laid eyes on Will, I was like: “You are my father now.”

Will:

Will is a Tired Single Dad™

He likes to ruffle your hair :3

If he took his eyes off of you for 1 second when you were younger, he’d lose you immediately

Chased you around the house a lot when you were younger & would swing you in his arms

This man needed so much caffeine just to stay awake

He brought you to work a lot because he couldn’t afford a babysitter, and the students made sure you were the center of attention lol

Sat you on his lap while he graded papers

Lots of cuddles by the space heater

Ngl, I think he’d spoil you a lot when you were younger

Like you’re just too cute to say no to, and he may not be rich, but he wants to give you the world

Lenient when it comes to grades

Just as long as you’re trying your best :)

BEST listener

You can literally come to him for anything, and he’ll sit there quietly until you’re done

Makes you feel understood & less alone

He’s always there for you and puts you first

Teaches you how to fish and how to do fly tying

Y’all go on trips out to the lake

I’m sorry, but he’s kinda strict

Not like full-on authoritarian, but he’s got lots of rules he expects you to follow to a T

Bedtime at 9:00 sharp, and you WILL be getting your needed 8+ hours of sleep

If you wanna go out somewhere?

Where are you going? For how long? Who will be there? Does he need to drop you off and/or pick you up? Will there be a trusted adult with you? Are you done with your homework yet? And what about chores?

Absolutely ZERO boyfriend, girlfriend, and/or romantic partner allowed until you’re like 27

And no phone until you reach high school

He still loves you, though ^^

When you were younger, he’d read you bedtime stories to help you fall asleep

Y’all would have matching outfits & pajamas

Liked to keep you in his arms a lot

When you misbehaved, he’d get down on your level and gently but firmly chide you

Packs the BEST lunches

Literally eating like royalty

He’s making sure you’re getting all your necessary proteins, vegetables, fruits, etc.

He’d probably teach you Lithuanian

He’d also teach you how to play the harpsichord and definitely played lullabies on it for you when you were younger

Frequently checks how you’re doing in school

Probably goes to parent-teacher conferences

Helps you with your homework if he’s not busy ^^

If he is busy, he’ll hire a tutor to help you

Shows you off to all his friends and coworkers

Literally so proud of you

Yes, he makes you attend his fancy dinner parties

And if you have any musical talent, he is 100% making you play in front of everyone to show off how skilled you are

If anyone is rude to you, he will eat them…eventually

I’m sorry your day hasn’t been the best, but I hope this cheers you up a bit! My week has been pretty crappy too, so you’re not alone. (Side note that I have never experienced a PTSD nightmare because I don’t have PTSD, so I apologize if this depiction isn’t accurate.)

TW: PTSD & Nightmares

After a long and tiring day of work, you returned home

You slipped off your shoes and threw your bag onto the couch

Actor would probably chide you later, but you didn’t much care

All you wanted to do was pass out on the couch

You let out a sigh of relief as you plopped down onto the sofa, pulling one of Actor’s blankets off the back of it and wrapping it around you

It didn’t take long for you to fall into a deep sleep, especially with the comforting warmth of the blanket, the scent of Actor’s expensive cologne lingering faintly on fabric

While your form was relatively restful, your dreams were not

Memories of past horrors always seemed to haunt you, even when you weren’t awake

Your subconscious seemed to love to taunt you with the after images of what had happened

You awoke abruptly with a jolt, breath heaving and frazzled

Tears stung at your eyes, and you quickly wiped at them with shaky hands

You could still picture the nightmare clearly in your mind, the memories vivid

You felt a cry bubble up inside your throat, threatening to spill out into a broken sob

You hated this

Feeling like this

You hated the memories, the nightmares, all of it

You were suddenly pulled out of the dark pool of your thoughts as you heard the creak of the stairs

Glancing up, you saw Mark descending the spiral staircase, his bare feet pattering against the hardwood

He had an empty glass in one hand, his other combing through what was usually pristine and tidy hair, now a tangled (but beautiful) mess

“Y/N?” Mark called out, his voice deeper and groggier than usual from sleep. “What are you doing up so late? You’re going to get dark circles, don’t you know?”

When you didn’t respond, he gave the slightest tilt of his head before quickly descending the staircase, his red robe fluttering behind him

“Y/N?” He repeated, his eyebrows knitted together as he knelt down beside you

You bowed your head further, letting out a muffled sob into the blanket, leaving behind wet stains of tears

“Y/N,” he continued, his voice softer now, setting the glass aside and onto the coffee table with a gentle clink. “Tell me what’s wrong.”

You curled in on yourself, crying more freely now as his hand made its way to your back, rubbing soothing circles into it all the while muttering quiet encouragements

“Nightmares again?” He murmured after your cries subsided a little more

You nodded slowly, peeking out from behind your knees 

“It’ll be okay. It’s not real,” he assured you, his hand traveling down to yours. “Your brain is just trying to process what happened to you.” He paused, glancing down at your entwined hands for a beat before continuing.

“I know I can be a douche sometimes,” Mark spoke, meeting your eyes once more, his thumb now rubbing along the back of your hand. “But I really do care about you, and I’m here for you whenever you need me, okay? And if you ever need to talk to me, just tell me.”

You gave another silent nod before letting out a small, “thank you.”

He smiled softly and nodded

Mark then rose back up, his hand slipping from yours. “Now, there’ll be no more tears tonight,” he declared. “Not unless they’re happy tears!”

With that, he scooped you up and off of the couch, eliciting a small yelp of surprise from you

“You,” he said firmly but dramatically as he made his way back to the stairs with you still in his arms, “will be staying with me tonight. And you will be getting good sleep tonight. Whether you like it or not!”

As you opened your mouth to speak, he swiftly interjected, “Ah-ah-ah! I don’t want to hear it! You are royalty, and you deserve to be treated like it.”

Mark then carried you to his bedroom where he promptly sat you down on his bed, pulling the silk sheets over you

“You will be staying, because I said so. And if you have any more nightmares, you can wake me up, and I’ll be right there by your side.” He smirked and added with a cocky grin, “Your very own knight in shining armor, if you will.”

You threw a pillow at him for that comment where he was then promptly banished to the floor

Complained about it all night until you fell asleep, now much more peacefully <3

Before y'all started dating, he'd probably hate it

Like he'd give you the NASTIEST look

But after y'all became closer and started dating... that completely flew out of the window

Now he LOVES the attention and physical affection

It makes him feel good about himself when you cling onto him & shower him with affection

He feels confident when you hold onto him like that

Like he's the only one you need :>

He's almost as clingy, if not more than you at times

This is a little bit of a silly image and maybe a bit out of character, but I can just imagine him wandering around set with you in his robe, hair pulled back like he just got done with makeup, his pinky locked with yours

He's not doing anything particularly important

Just wandering around with you, pinkies intertwined

Gotta let everyone know that HE'S YOUR boyfriend

Sometimes when you go in for a hug, he'll wrap his arms around you and just sway

Not necessarily like dancing, but just moving gently from side to side

He loves teasing you sometimes by pulling away when you lean in for a kiss

He can't help but love the little disappointment etched into your brows, the slight frown that tilts those perfect lips of yours

Don't worry, though, because he'll never deny you kisses for long

You're just too irresistible :)

"Ugh, you just can't resist me, can you, darling?" He'll exclaim with a dramatic sigh as you open your arms for a hug

(He loves it lol)

He'll let you rest your head against his shoulder as you sit and read, watch TV, do work, etc.

He'll also yell at anyone if they stare at y'all for too long while you hold onto him

"Don't you have work you should be doing!?"

I feel like he'd either be too proud to admit that he actually loves the attention or he'd be demanding more from you

Either "What do you mean I like it when you're clingy? I love my personal space! In fact, I need more of it!"

(If he hurts your feelings by the comment, he'd make it up to you by peppering kisses all over your face and hands because this man struggles with forming apologies)

Or...

"Ah, ah! No getting up! You're staying right here in my arms where you belong."

He loves it when you kiss him, especially on his neck :3

He won't say it out loud, but it makes his heart practically stutter
