I Imagine Alaska never really had the chance to get a proper education, his auntie surely taught him well but ripping him away from her and being forced to deal with missionaries and boarding schools and whatnot likely didn't help, especially considering that Alaska simply thinks different (autism) <//3 so probably a small insecurity that he thinks he ain't smart, and others calling him slow (in Alaska's opinion, it seems to be that everyone is too addicted to wanting to do everything fast all the time and never truly experiencing) but he is rather smart, when he's given time and a chance, which is why he seems to understand whales and astronomy to a complicated level i like to think

i dont usually post but to the aros and aces (including arospecs and acespecs) who feel like theyre missing out on milestones they always dreamed of since they were little kids, like your first kiss, boyfriends, girlfriends, partners, etc. etc.
