The Zodiac Meets Chinese Face Reading: Speculation

Chinese face reading is an ancient oriental art form based on physical features, used to reveal one’s character, health, and ethnic origin. It is also known as physiognomy.

As far as I’ve read up to this point, I know that the forehead represents intelligence and wisdom, the cheeks represent emotion, and the chin & jaw represent aggression and assertiveness. The eyes are supposedly associated with leadership qualities & expression of feelings, the nose is associated with wealth, the ears with luck, and the mouth with elegance & charm.

I imagine that the Ascendant, the Ascendant’s ruling planet, planets in the first house, and planets in aspect to the Ascendant go hand-in-hand with subjects like Chinese face reading, so here are a few of the connections I’ve made.

(Planets in the tenth house and the Venus sign may also play a lesser part.)

Fire signs commonly have prominent chins/jaws & eyes. Earth signs commonly have prominent foreheads & noses. Air signs commonly have prominent foreheads & ears. Water signs commonly have prominent cheeks & mouths. Cardinal signs commonly have prominent chins/jaws. Fixed signs commonly have more “balanced” features. Mutable signs commonly have prominent foreheads.

Masculine signs commonly have more prominent chins/jaws than Feminine, though Fire signs have more prominent cheeks than Air, and Air have more prominent foreheads than Fire. Likewise, Earth signs have more prominent foreheads than Water, and Water have more prominent cheeks than Earth.

Individuals with notable Aries/Mars influence tend to have very pronounced jaws, protruding or square chins, and sharp eyes (both in shape & expression). Individuals with notable Taurus/Venus influence tend to have large & plump lips, round eyes, pronounced cheeks, and square but averagely defined jaws. Individuals with notable Gemini/Mercury influence tend to have thinner lips, large & defined foreheads, small but prominent ears, and large eyes. Individuals with notable Cancer/Moon influence tend to have round faces, large eyes, plump lips, very prominent cheeks, and smaller foreheads. Individuals with notable Leo/Sun influence tend to have prominent jaws, large or otherwise remarkably pronounced eyes, and well-formed lips. Individuals with notable Virgo/Mercury influence tend to have smaller eyes, thinner lips, very well-defined & prominent foreheads, and either very small & round or very large, defined, pronounced noses with thinner bridges. Individuals with notable Libra/Venus influence tend to have well-defined foreheads, prominent & graceful lips, nice cheekbones (although the cheeks themselves are rarely very pronounced), larger ears, and thinner noses. Individuals with notable Scorpio/Mars/Pluto influence tend to have very prominent chins/jaws/cheeks, and smaller but very sharp eyes. Individuals with notable Sagittarius/Jupiter influence tend to have square jaws, larger foreheads, large & round eyes, possibly crooked noses, prominent ears with large earlobes, and less prominent cheeks but high cheekbones. Individuals with notable Capricorn/Saturn influence tend to have remarkably large/defined/straight/high noses, square jaws, small but sharp eyes, possibly prominent ears, thin lips, possibly high cheekbones and/or prominent cheeks. Individuals with notable Aquarius/Saturn/Uranus influence tend to have smaller eyes, large & prominent foreheads, higher noses, and thinner lips. Individuals with notable Pisces/Jupiter/Neptune influence tend to have VERY large & prominent foreheads, large & round eyes, small but plump lips, pronounced cheeks with usually low cheekbones, and large/prominent ears.

Cancer: *hates it at first and then loves it 5 minutes later*

THE SIGNS AS DRAGONS

Aries: Black dragon that is obsessed with death and destruction, quick to anger. Active mostly at night, has poison breath and usually lives in swamp areas. Has slimy scales and appears skeletal and corpse like. A sign of death and appears when a sick person is about to pass.

Taurus: Pale yellow dragon. Herbivore, but will not hesitate to kill an evil human. They are the primary protector of women and children. Can be the size of a Golden Retriever, are useful in the household and are peaceful. Breathes a universal medicine that smells like lemons and loves people and shiny objects.

Gemini: Green forest dragon. Highly intelligent dragon, can communicate with humans. Similar to the snake in Garden of Eden, it is cunning and malevolent. Breathes chlorine gas and has horns atop his head to be able to disguise themselves.

Cancer: Silver dragon. The most sensitive dragon and the savior of the wounded, homeless, and helpless. They have mercury blood and breath, making it poisonous to inhale and touch, but their scales are often used in healing creams that they create.

Leo: Holographic dragon that is blinding to the eye, this is their primary defensive trait. They spend lots of time luxuriating on their own and live with a few others of their kind. Known for attacking other dragons and has arsenic laced breath.

Virgo: White snow dragon. Intelligent but hermit dragon, very afraid of human. Has frostbite breath. Blends in with snow and preys on larger mammals and lone humans. Dislikes include sunlight. Their scales are water repellant.

Libra: Bronze dragons. Obsessed with humans and their culture. Lives close to the ocean and has extremely hot, lava like breath. Known for killing tyrants and criminals, similar to the Blue Dragon. Has a human-like sense of good and evil.

Scorpio: Purple exotic dragon. First bred in Asia, these dragons are the most mysterious. Scales regularly shed and are used in making perfumes and sex oils. Breathes a sedative gas to knock out people, then torture and eat them. They are beautiful, but if you see them, you will be dead very soon.

Sagittarius: Gold dragons. Lives in villages and is a defender of the common good. Has been known to eat criminals or bad town leaders. Sometimes leaves villages to go on quests to help others. Has catfish whiskers and each of their scales is worth millions of dollars. Breathes blue fire.

Capricorn: Red dragon that guards jewelry, gold, and other precious gems. Carnivorous and has a forked, long tongue like a snake. Found by volcanoes and medieval castles. Villages sacrifice young virgins to them. Breathes fire. Can be ridden into battle by someone worthy.

Aquarius: Blue desert dragon. Tends to attack humans that are greedy, vain, or have committed a heinous crime. Causes sandstorms by flapping their enormous wings. Breathes fire and dust particles. Although it lives in the desert, it spends its time admiring its reflection at an oasis.

Pisces: Water, shapeshifting dragon. Can be as long as 100 meters, or as small as a nurse shark as needed. Spends lots of time lurking on the ocean floor and admiring the way the water catches the sunlight. Breathes boiling water and scales are freezing to the touch. Peaceful, eats mostly krill. Responsible for the foam that is often found on shorelines.

Zodiac Mythical Races

Aries: Werewolves- also known as Lycans legend has it that they were a race of people who could purposely turn into larger-than-normal wolves, but some stories differ saying that it was a curse that turned a human into a half-man/half-wolf monster without his consent during a full moon.

Taurus: Dryads- also know as wood nymphs dryads were extremely beautiful and were literally the spirits of the trees. Legend has it that if the tree they were from died so would they. Love of nature, and an extremely strong tie to their home/roots nothing screams Taurus more.

Gemini: Fairies-Small magical creatures often depicted with butterfly, or insect wings. Are known to be small in stature and mischievous in nature. They cannot lie but they have been known to be very persuasive with their words.

Cancer: Sirens- Not to be confused with mermaids the original sirens had wings, but they lived by the sea. In some legends they were beautiful women who sang sailors to the rocks and drowned them, in other stories the sang them to the rocks to devour the sailors themselves.

Leo: Nephilim-The offspring of humans and angels in some stories they are giants, who are taller, stronger and dumber than most humans. In other stories they are beautiful/handsome creatures with retractable wings of ether, known for their passionate and ruthless behavior. Strong , handsome/beautiful, vain, and addicted to luxury sounds pretty Leo to me.

Virgo: Elves-magical creatures that often live apart from society, but have been know to both help and hinder humans. They are ageless peaceful and very beautiful. They live by their values, and value logic above all else.

Libra: Sylphs- Also known as air elementals they are known as the protectors of beauty and the promoters of vanity. They are said to protect the looks of those they favor. They are also responsible for the formations of the clouds.

Scorpio: Vampires- these beings are said to be very hard to resist and emanate a powerful attractive aura. They can’t force anyone to do anything but they are very persuasive and it takes a strong person to say no. Dark, sultry, and sexy.

Saggittarius: Centaurs-Half-human/half-horse Centaurs are the physical representation of logic over animal nature. They are great teachers and philosophizers, but they are also compelled by a lusty physical animal nature.

Capricorn: Satyr-The half-man/half-goat known for its sexual nature. As Dionysian animals they believed that every physical pleasure was made for them and often enjoyed all of them in excess. As they got older however some believe Satyr grew more sober taking on the responsibility of preserving the wild.

Aquarius: Androids-part human part robot they are more attractive, more intelligent, and stronger than humans. However they are emotionally inept and lacking in areas of creativity. they are also known to get sick of the error of humans and revolt from time to time. Intelligent, un emotional, and revolutionary.

Pisces: Mermaids- half-human/ half-fish and the subject of worldwide folklore. Mermaids belong to the sea and our seen as more spiritual than humans. they have hauntingly beautiful voices, but generally don’t have a need to kill humans. Beautiful, ethereal, and untouchable.

The Signs + Nightmares

Aries: Being told by different people that they love that they don't matter.

Taurus: Being chased in a white room by something dark and ominous.

Gemini: Seeing the people they love be hurt and having to try and rescue them somehow.

Cancer: Trying to reach someone who's calling for them but they can't move their legs.

Leo: Just loud noises and dark colors with no sense or reason.

Virgo: Being trapped underwater and drowning very slow.

Libra: The classic naked-on-stage dream.

Scorpio: Being murdered brutally and waking up once they die.

Sagittarius: Being trapped inside of a house of mirrors with no way out.
