Caitlyn’s reverie of Vi’s attractively full lips was interrupted by Grady. “Miss Kiramman, shall I call in your art tutor, and she can have you begin a lesson in still life drawing with Miss Vi as your first subject?” Vi snickered as she watched a mortified Caitlyn blush from her neck to her hairline. She briefly fantasized about asking her mother to fire Grady. “I’m sorry, Professor. I promise I’ll focus,” she said in a strained voice. Vi continued to quietly laugh at her embarrassment, and Caitlyn clenched her jaw to resist the urge to growl in frustration.

As the tether evolves, more than just magic begins to bond the two girls together and soon, Cait and Vi wonder if they truly want to get rid of it. Caitlyn didn’t notice, was unbothered, or ignored Vi tensing at their proximity. “When is Powder and Ekko’s match?” Vi swallowed and looked straight ahead as she used the match as a reason to not look at Caitlyn. “I’m, uh—I’m not sure,” she replied. “They are the reigning champions so they may be the last ones to play.” Caitlyn hummed and went back to watching robots rip each other to shreds. Vi sat and tried her best to not breathe through her nose. Or notice every time Caitlyn shifted to clap, cheer, or laugh and brush their shoulders together. But Vi couldn’t help but allow herself to indulge a look (just one look, she told herself) when Caitlyn turned to the woman next to her, who was the aunt of one of the kids in the match, to strike up a conversation.

Noxus chapter is coming along, I promise. I've gone through four drafts of this, changing up the plot slightly every time. It's going to be a long one and I hope you all like it. I'm thinking it will cover half of their time in Noxus, which will be the most important time there.

Haha, by making sure that the space between the toilet/shower and door will be exactly 14 feet. The large vanity will be on the other end of the bathroom, which is what makes it so large ;) They will just have to sit outside of the door while the other does their business. haha don't worry, I'm going to make it *that* kind of invasive.

In the quiet of the night, with the moonlight shining through their window, a lead weight that Caitlyn had done her best to ignore since long before they left Piltover sat heavily in her chest as she thought back to what Ambessa said about the challenges they would face when they returned home. “Are you still in this fight, Violet?” Caitlyn whispered, unable to stop the way her hand gripped Vi’s almost too hard. Vi pulled her hand up and kissed it. “For every step you’ll have me,” she whispered sleepily. The weight in Caitlyn’s chest didn’t completely abate, but it did so enough that it allowed her to fall into a deep sleep.

Hey! So I am working on the next chapter of Low Lays the Devil, but it's just been a busy and exhausting week. I have three days off of work after tonight and my only plans are taxes and laundry, so hopefully I can get the next chapter up soon!
