I think I've worked out (part of the reason) why there's been such a huge uptick in folks who don't reblog things on here.

This post has like 14k notes right now, and the tags and comments and reblogs are FULL of people who didn't know about fast-reblog, and -- you guys have been slow-reblogging this whole time!?!??!?!?

In the interests of a) making your lives easier, and b) encouraging you to reblog posts, which is what keeps this site alive, here's how you fast-reblog:

To you, maybe Archive of Our Own is "just" a website.

But to others, it's more.

It's a community.

It's a place where writers can be free to write what they want, without having to worry about it being taken down.

It's a place where people can cope, and vent, and do what they need, because guess what, it's a good fucking coping mechanism.

What Tiffany G. is promoting goes against the OTW's existence.

AO3 was created to prevent the censorship.

And hell, maybe it's not all about the website.

Maybe we're just fucking tired of gay, trans, queer, disabled, etc. shit getting censored.

This is all bullshit.

So yes, Archive of Our Own might be a website, but that doesn't mean it's "just" a website. That doesn't mean that the problems going on don't matter. This is real, it matters, and it means something.

as we're all anxiously awaiting the release of wayward son (I know that is understatement of the year but we're going to go with it) I just wanted to reiterate a point I know many people have already made about spoilers!

(I know this is the point at which everyone will start to groan, but please hear me out!!)

not everybody will have access to wayward son on september 24th!

for example, I live in the UK and here, it doesn't come out until october 3rd. (this isn't really much of a difference but it's enough for us to get spoiled!)

in many places it may not come out for months after sept. 24th, and these people do not deserve to be spoiled!!

so please, no spoilers at all until october 24th (a month after the US release)! and after this point, please be very careful to tag your spoilers so that people who have not had the chance to read it won't have to see them!

this is also helpful for slightly slower readers, or readers with very busy schedules! they don't deserve spoilers either!

in conclusion, TAG SPOILERS FOR WAYWARD SON!

it may be a bit more work for you, but you could save multiple people from being spoiled!
