Set of holographic stickers dedicated to The Holy Trinity.
I said it in the notes on the last post but I’m gonna say it again.
I’m married to someone with severe memory problems. Automation of household appliances & systems helps him a lot and helps me a lot because it reduces the number of things I have to keep in my brain at all times. I love doors that lock themselves, being able to schedule dog food being delivered, a thermostat I can manipulate from wherever. Beyond my little bubble it should be noted that voice controlled appliances can be really good for people with mobility concerns. Appliances that can measure and talk and remember little tasks can be such a blessing for people.
I will never forgive Amazon and Google for taking technologies that could be really helpful and weaponizing them, and fuck everybody who acts like its some kind of conspiracy theory that those devices are spying on you. You absolutely should be distrustful of those devices but just make sure you’re getting angry at the right people.
This week:
A 19 year old passenger with her baby, who only spoke spanish, missed her connecting flight due to weather and would have been stuck sleeping in the airport but my co flight attendant (who spoke spanish) booked her commuter hotel for her and gave her a free room for the night
Another passenger missed her connecting flight home but since she lived just under an hour from me I gave her a ride from dc to virginia beach
My pilot was contacted by the wife of a pilot he'd flown with (who later killed himself) because she'd found a photo of their crew at dinner, so now he takes group photos of every crew he hangs out with, just in case
Another passenger missed her connecting flight and was crying because her mom was in hospice so 2 other passengers who did not know her offered to rent a car and carpool down to jacksonville together
An actor who I will not name but who I'm a huge fan of was in line at the airport pizza place in front of me and my co flight attendant (also a fan) and we were trying so hard to be cool about it and he could tell and he paid for our food because "You all take such good care of us in the air, we should take care of you on the ground."
The van driver for our new orleans overnight heard me say I was vegetarian but wished I could try authentic gumbo and called his friend who is a chef and then drove us to the restaurant where I was given a creole style vegetarian gumbo he'd improvised
After a terrible night which saw me and my co flight attendant trying for 4 hours to get hotel rooms from our airline, the night clerk at a hotel finally took over the phone call and reprimanded them on our behalf, dictating the exact paperwork she needed sent over and then expedited the process so she could give us rooms
seriously thinking about an au where padmé haunts vader. like literally, her ghost is tethered to him and she follows him around but he ignores her because he assumes she's just a manifestation of his guilt for believing that he killed her (she tries to tell him he didn't, he doesn't listen. to him she's not real and she's just telling him what he wants to hear, that it wasn't completely his fault).
padmé having to watch him torture his own daughter on the death star. and no matter how much she screams at him to stop her words don't even reach him because he's blocking her out entirely. because in his mind her ghost is nothing more than a hallucination.
(maybe even have shmi follow him too. but again, he only thinks he's imagining it because to this day he still feels guilty that he couldn't save her).
and after he kills obi-wan, maybe he appears too. so now vader has the ghost of his mother, his wife and his brother constantly following him around, he tunes out most of what they try and say to him, that is until he finds out about luke.......
bonus. BONUS. if luke and leia can see the ghosts. leia briefly seeing the faint outline of padmé's form before the droid injects her. luke seeing both obi-wan and padmé at vader's sides looking at him sorrowfully when he jumps in cloud city after the duel.
or at the start padmé could just outright tell him “you have twins” and the entire franchise after that is obi-wan's ghost sitting there, head in his hands while vader is STILL having a breakdown after the news.
This minecraft short comic called "A strange Coast" made by Ian Flynn I believe, I found in a book from my library I work has to be one of the most beautiful and respectful takes on the game.
It understands minecradf so perfectly and doesn't treat it as childishly as the other stories in it did.
And all that within 10 pages and no word spoken.
So I’ve been listening to podcasts again and I wish someone had done this for me when I started out, so let’s sum up and describe some podcasts, shall we?
The Magnus Archives - Jonathan Sims, newly instated Head Archivist at the Magnus Institute, London, is trying to sort through statements of people that claim to have had all kinds of supernatural encounters, while only having a taperecorder to do so, because for some reason, the statements won’t let themselves be recorded on anything else. But I’m sure it’s nothing, right? Supernatural Horror at it’s finest, with incredible characters and worldbuilding. 200 episodes.
Welcome to Nightvale - An incredibly cryptic podcast, set in the fictional town of Nightvale, where all the conspiracy theories are true. Listen to Cecil Palmer, the host of Nightvale Community Radio talk about the happenings in the town, his day and that strange, beautiful new scientist that has come to town. Over 200 episodes, ongoing.
Wolf 359 - Communication Officer Doug Eiffels log of the USS Hepaestus’ journey, observing the red dwarf wolf 359. Twists and turns, some expected, some most definitely not, all in all a good time for all podcast fans. 61 episodes.
The Strorage Papers - Unsetteling horror stories, found in a storage lot, unraveling faster that a ball of yarn. Can you keep up? And, perhaps the more important question: Can you keep it together? Carefully crafted stories that make you lock your doors twice. 104 episodes, ongoing.
The Penumbra Podcast - The space noir tales of Private I, Detective Juno Steel and his adventures on planet mars. A podcast so mysterious and casually queer, it’s almost addictive. Although their phonecall noise sounds like my alarmclock, the sound design, characters, storytelling and worldbuilding are unlike anything I’ve ever come across. 4 seasons with about 20 episodes.
Camp Here and There - Camp Nurse Sidneys recordings of her daily announcements. If you’re a fan of Gravity Falls, this is that next summer you’ve been waiting for. 34 episodes for now, possibly ongoing, possibly not.
This is it for now, I’ll be adding on when I can. I hope this’ll help someone… or not.
I wonder how the Six Eyes and the Star Plasma Vessel appeared on the day of the merging, if they were already killed by Kenjaku?🤔Could it be that immediately after their death, their abilities manifested themselves in other people?

A comic I made for the ShortBox Patreon in 2020! So so proud of this one. You can see my other work HERE
PART 1 || PART 2 || PART 3 ||
Andrew sucks at telling his emotions apart bc ✨trauma✨ so he starts picking up habits to help him. He tucks his thumb into his fist when he’s hurt but leaves it on the outside if he’s angry. If he isn’t sure, he just has to look down at his hands to figure it out.
Kevin has a vague grasp of the rules of chess at best and has never won a game in his life
On the subject of chess, Nicky buys Kevin the drinking game version of chess (the one where all the pieces are shot glasses) for his birthday
One day, Andrew discovers a new fear: walking past a group of teens and having them all coincidentally laugh just as he goes past
Neil’s really good at reading expressions and eventually he has to do an hour long presentation for Matt about the different types of side glances the girls do bc Matt doesn’t understand how they’re doing that and he wants in on their secrets
Nicky and Allison are mean together. They don’t often get along, but the odd days they do, someone is going to regret their life choices
Speaking of the two of them being mean, clearly trying to explain to Neil that he can’t dress like he’s homeless didn’t work and neither did trying to use Andrew as leverage so they just try to bully him into doing better. It doesn’t work because Neil doesn’t give a shit what anyone says about him if it’s not about Exy
Kevin models for a promotional Exites event, but the pictures are like, super cringey for the foxes because they know him and ew. Upon finding out that even Kevin hates them, Dan and Allison (and Renee who will vehemently deny she was a part of it) bully their way into getting one of the ten foot posters and stick it to the outside of fox tower where it stays for two months
When the freshman first start, the foxes set up a challenge. Andrew and Aaron dress identically and every freshman has to guess which twin is which. Those who get it wrong have to do a forfeit decided by the twins. Punishments range from buying Andrew enough cigarettes and ice cream for a month to having to run through the library naked at a peak time
Aaron is king of sitting in weird positions. He’ll be studying at his desk crouched like a little gremlin or watching tv with his legs in a W shape. Sitting in positions like that has made him oddly flexible, and Katelyn is the only person in the entire world who will ever know that Aaron can easily do the splits
Renee is excellent at being patronising. She’d never argue with someone directly, that’s not her thing, but if you get on her bad side, be prepared to be patronised for weeks. That little false smile and “sure, sweetie” is enough to drive anyone mental
((I have more, but they’re going in a separate, sad hc post bc I want to keep this one lighthearted))
