Villain x hero writing Prompt- The villain pretends to be the hero's new therapist to try to get inside their head and find their weaknesses. However once they hear everything they start to feel bad for hero and try helping them.
[Villain] looked over the notes they had taken from their last session with [Hero]. They had more than enough to ruin [Hero]. Yet, that hollow feeling in their stomach grew more intense as they thought of using their discoveries against them.
Before, they thought of [Hero] as a monolith, a wall of righteousness and courage, and unstoppable force. That's why they had jumped at the chance when they heard [Hero] was shopping for a therapist. It was a golden opportunity, discover all of [Hero]'s flaws and weaknesses and sell the information to the highest bidder. Yet now that they had it...
[Villain] let out a shaky breath, letting their headrest in their hands as they slowly began to realize the mess they were in. [Hero] had become a person to them, one with problems and desires, one that made [Villain] feel sick attempting to take advantage of when they had already been taken advantage of so much.
They wanted to help [Hero], but as they heard their phone buzz, their heart filled with dread. They looked at the screen, their heart sinking.
"I hope you have something good for me." texted [Super Villain].
[Villain] grimaced, the hole they had dug only sinking deeper around them.
Probably one of my favorites from Galar. They did an amazing job with the pokemon this game. #sellartonline #art #artistsoninstagram #artwork #sketchbooktour #sketchbook #pokemon #Nickit #pokemonnickit #pokemonfanart #fanart https://www.instagram.com/p/B6a_eD5hJhP/?igshid=1ppjcfwkz0ppy
"Did you ever truly love me?" Villain asked in a chocked, broken voice as tears blurred his vision.
Villain saw raw sadness and guilt flicker into hero's beautiful features, twisting them up so her expressions were fully transparent. In that moment, villain felt fleeting hope that the two of us could love again, that we could be the lovers that she always wanted them to be.
But hero's face turned into a blank slate as soon as villain's hopes got up, turning devoid of the love that she once showed villain.
"No, villain" she whispered, turning her back to hero. "I never did. "
[Villain] shoved [Hero] forward as they walked down the long hallway. [Hero] closed their eyes and took a deep, shaky breathy. They knew what was at the end of this hallway; they both did.
“Why are you doing this?” [Hero] whispered, their voice scared and shaking.
“Because it’s my job.” [Villain] growled out, shoving them once more when [Hero]’s pace began to slow.
“You told me that didn’t matter. None of it matter as long as we were-”
[Villain] barked out a cruel laugh, “Did you really think I’d love you? That I’d leave all of this, for you?” [Villain] shook their head as their laughter died down, “I never loved you. Never.”
“Then why are you crying?" [Hero] asked as they finally reached the end of the hallway.
"I’m…” [Villain] touched their cheeks and, oh, they were crying, how did that happen. They cleared their throat and wiped away their tears, snarling, “Finding a new nemesis will be a pain.”
“You can stop this,” [Hero] begged, "It’s not too late!“
"Yes, it is.” [Villain]’s face hardened as they dragged [Hero] through the doors.
Hallo! May I ask for a snippet of fluff where either Villain or Hero (or both) are using their superpowers for comfort?
“Hero, you need to stop,” Villain demanded, their hand gripping the front door in order to keep it open. “You're going to end up hurting yourself if you keep this up.”
Hero, flushed in the face, wrapped up in layers of blankets and dressing gowns, had tried to keep the door sealed shut, but Villain was able to push past their futile attempts easy enough. That was enough to make them worry.
“I told you to stop coming to my house,” Hero hissed quietly, their nose stuffed. “People are going to figure my identity out if you keep this up. How did you even know where I live?”
Villain raised a brow, and tapped their temple with their finger. “Made you tell me.”
Hero groaned in response, making another attempt to close the door in their face. Villain, with a frown, simply stepped inside, and closed the door shut behind them, gently nudging Hero forward.
“Come on.”
“Get out of my house!”
“Hero, you're sick,” they pressed, their voice taking a stern tone. “And you keep going out to work. Do you not understand how simply stupid that is? You need to rest.”
Hero's brows wrinkled in protest, drawing the blanket tighter around their shoulders, lingering back against the door. “I can't take time off, you know that. If I do, people are going to get hurt.”
Villain sucked in a quiet breath, their expression softening. That was definitely the Hero Program talking. It irked them, knowing they actually taught them things like this — working themselves down to the very last bone?
It was simply preposterous.
Wordlessly, Villain took care of Hero for the evening. They brewed them tea, cooked them food, lovingly locked the front door so they wouldn't have any ideas about leaving. The dark circles under Hero's eyes were more prominent today.
Settling across the couch with Hero resting on their chest, Villain couldn't help but gaze upon their worn down face, noting how hollow their cheeks looked. Were they even eating?
“I'm tired.”
Villain blinked back into reality.
“I can't get to sleep. I haven't slept properly for three weeks,” Hero admitted quietly. Villain slowly rubbed their shoulders.
“Why didn't you tell me?” They gently scolded. “You know I can help you with that.”
Hero shifted slightly in Villain's gentle hold. They only gave a weak shrug in response, and they could only sigh. Their hand raked through their locks of hair, pushing some out of the way of their face.
“Look at me.”
Hero grimaced, but they did as they were told. They knew what would happen if they did, but that didn't seem to stop them. Their eyes met, and Villain smiled softly.
“Rest.”
Hero's eyes fluttered, and they immediately sunk forward, slipping off into a peaceful slumber. Villain pressed a soft kiss on their forehead, and drew them further into their arms.
“My, what are you doing to me, Hero?”
The villain leaned in for a kiss, and the hero met them half way.
But one of them kept their eyes open the whole time.
“Don’t even think about telling me what to do.” Hero said bitterly, pulling on their mask. “I can do what I want, even if it means saving others in exchange for my life.”
Villain held onto Hero’s hand, not letting go anytime soon. “And you’re just going to leave me here?! Let me come with you!” They pleaded with them. “If you should die, let me die with you!”
“Get off me.”
“No.”
“I said— Get off me!” Hero kicked them away, regretting it almost instantly. “! Wait... I didn’t mean to!”
Villain slowly got to their feet and smiled. “Please, let me come with you.”
Reluctantly, Hero let them.
// hello let me feed all of you with some good ol’ sadness ig //
The cell was damp, cold. Not even a barred window was spared. Hero sighed – Supervillain sure took their precautions.
“What I would give for a knight in shining armour,” they chuckled, mostly to themselves.
“You called?” A figure rounded the corner.
They gasped. “Villain...?”
“The one and only. And to answer that question,” they held out a hand, “perhaps your heart?”
Because I just had surgery and I can.
Villain hasnt been seen for a week. Thinking they are planning something big, the hero tracks them down only to find them recovering from a surgery they had to get as a result of an injury the hero inflicted on them.
Hero/Villain is in hospital recovering from surgery when they receive a "get well soon" card and a gift from the villain/hero.
Hero goes under for surgery. Unbeknownst to either of them, the villain ends up being the surgeon and only realizes when they see all of heros scars while prepping for the surgery.
Hero just had surgery for something and instead of resting is pushing themselves to get back go wor. Villain finds out and flips, ordering them back to bed where they take care of them.
*Forgot to post this from back right after my surgery but*
Rival had that glint in his eyes, she noticed, the one he recently has when they play.
"Things don't look too well for you, don't they?"
The perfect, still, poker-face Heroine mastered kept away any information he tried to get.
"That is what you have said last time."
He frowned a bit, but his eyes kept their shine.
"So you do have a plan..."
"Hopefully."
"Then I shouldn't eat your knight..."
"If you doing this is in my plan."
Rival leaned in and squinted at her. Sometimes, just sometimes, he was too dangerously cute. Heroine hated to admit that to herself, but the way her lips urged to smile at his sight left no doubt.
"So you DO want me to do this...!"
"You can try to interogate me all day, or actually think for yourself."
Hero almost let out a chuckle as she answered. He pouted again, adding a frown and a crooked nose. She finally let out a laugh, dropping her straight face.
"You're a pleasure to play with..."
Rival was quite for a moment, his smile was... It has never been that soft. God her heart beat so fast.
"I can say the same for you."
He blushed a little and looked away. Scratching his scalp, Heroine used the distraction to take mental notes.
He brushed his hair, which she doesn't remember him doing in any other day they met. A warmth grew in her as she hoped that she read the signs right. His clothes were nicer, too. He replaced the usual seeatshirt and sweatpants with a polo shirt and jeans. The shirt's sleeves were shorter, which was nice and...
He has a scar. Right at the back of his forearm, barely noticeable.
"That's it. I'm not eating that. It reeks with a scheme."
Hero knows that scar. And she knows that man. Villain grinned at her.
"Knew this was your plan. Scared now?"
She immediately returned her poker face.
"Plans change."
She played her move quickly and quietly. Villain took some time but made finished his turn.
"I'm gonna win this time, I can feel it."
Hero didn't respond or banter back. She didn't say anything for the next few turns, no matter what he tried to do to tease or make her laugh. He grew more worried each turn.
"Hey ummm..."
She needs to finish this and think of the next step. This was her chance to catch him once and for all.
"You good?"
Looking up, she noticed his worried expression. It was completely geniune when she smiled and reassured him.
"Yes, just got lost in thoughts for a bit."
He smiled back.
"I actually had something weighing on me too, mind if...?"
"Go ahead."
He took a big breath. That moment, she knew what was about to happen. What she wished one of them will be brave enough for. She wished for this ever since they first played her. Ever since he truly challenged her. Ever since he took his loss with a laugh and adoring eyes.
"I know we only ever meet here to play, and that I have annoying jokes and... And an annoying self..."
Even the dread she felt didn't stop her from chuckling.
"But I like... I don't know... This. Playing wit- Even when you win. So you I thought..."
The fact that she knew of his identity didn't stop the butterflies she felt. Making her wish he was who she sees now. Just a softhearted, clever guy she met at an urban chess.
"We could go get ice cream aft-, or something less childis- I mean... Well you-"
This is her chance. Even if not for love. She showed him the best smile she could master.
"How about coffee tomorrow? I know a perfect place."
A coffee shop 50 meters away from a police station. It will be easy.
He smiled shyly and let out of all the air he held in his lungs.
"Sounds perfect..."
His blushed and relieved face turned her stomach. Imagining how he'd look at her tomorrow, when he'll realize who she really is.
But now Heroine must forget about it. She'll smile and laugh and be happy, genuinely happy, that they like each other.
They were chess partners, and she can't allow him to guess her next move.
