Thank you to everyone who voted! Even if the race wasn’t as close in your area, your vote made a difference.
Here is a neat thing to think of forever: look at “maximum room occupancy” signs — they are everywhere in offices and hotels and restaurants and shops.
May this haunt you forever should you think “my vote doesn’t matter. Even though I can vote, I won’t.”

I’m a little over half-way through and really enjoying this book. The short stories are based on fairy tales, and they feature a variety of asexual, aromantic, and other LGBTQIA+ characters. It’s worth way more than 99 cents!
Unburied Fables is 99 Cents Until June 10th!
This collection enlisted talent around the world. From students to seasoned professionals, these writers came together to raise awareness and reinvent classic stories. While they showcase a wide variety of origins, styles, and endings, all the tales in this anthology have one classic element in common: a happily ever after. Fifty percent of this collection’s proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project, a non-profit focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual and other queer youth.
Or donate directly to @thetrevorproject anytime in the month of June and I’ll send you the ebook!
Yes to all of the above!
I think most of the people following me know me well enough to know that I’d be fine with questions, but I’ll reblog just in case.
I feel like a lot of people don’t want to ask questions they have about gender/sexuality to LGBT people because they don’t want to offend them because we talk about cishet people asking stupid or intrusive questions a lot
But actually when you’re questioning it’s really helpful to be able to ask some ‘stupid’ questions although you’re too afraid to
So can y'all LGBTQIA+ people reblog this if you’re totally fine with people asking questions about your gender/sexuality, as long as they do so respectfully
Thank you!!
I know so much of the pre-election messaging is like VOTE!!! VOTE!!! IF YOU DON’T VOTE YOU’RE A MONSTER!! and that can get tiring after so many elections. So I want to take a moment after this election to say: so many of you clearly did get out and vote, despite not always having the most inspiring options, and with SO much on the line 18-29 year olds specifically helped win some of the most important and impactful races across America. So from one of the many “just vote” scolds on the internet: thank you!!
Woo-hoo -- more socks for my wish list! I love the Dreamer line from Sock Dreams. I have both over the knee and crew socks in ace pride colors. They are very comfortable and sturdy, and I highly recommend them! Their pride collection has a wide variety of other designs, from subtle to in-your-face. I have gotten a lot of socks for myself and others from Sock Dreams, and I’ve always been very happy with them.
(Also, for people concerned with the commercialization of pride, Sock Dreams is not doing that! They may promote their LGBTQ+ designs more during Pride month (because they’re a business, and it makes sense to promote things when people are looking for them), but they don’t just slap a rainbow on something for June and ignore the community the rest of the time. The Dreamer line and other LGBTQ+ designs are always available, and new designs are added throughout the year. Sock Dreams also donates to various LGBTQ+ charities and is generally supportive of the community.)
We just got in the same great pride flag colorways as our Dreamer Long Proud Stripes Tube Socks, only in shorter version!
Because Pride is all about celebrating diversity, we designed these to fit as wide a range of feet and legs as possible. Tube style feet mean that these will comfortably fit most shoe sizes, and will end up being knee high, crew, or somewhere in-between, depending on the length of the feet wearing them.
Unlike traditional tube socks, we designed these to have a low-profile toe seam on the top of the foot, instead of at the end of the toe, for improved comfort. If you’ve been considering sending Pride socks as a gift, but weren’t sure which style to get, these will be your safest bet! Proudly made in the USA.
Length: about 23 inches from toes to tops Stretch: 22 inches at cuff, 18 inches mid-sock
Note: Alas, we do not have stock for the Nonbinary striped version yet, but we do have it in a longer tube, over the knee sock, and crew!

Also, Vote Your Whole Ballot in every election! The president has a huge impact on the country, but so does Congress. Your senators and representatives can support or block a president and influence the long-term effects of the president's actions. And as @neolithicsheep shows, your governor and state legislature can make a big difference on your life.
Your city's mayor, council, and other administrators have a narrower impact, but it can literally hit you where you live. Even school and library boards affect what children in your community are taught and whether books are banned. They are either elected or appointed by the mayor and/or city council.
Learn the dog whistles that hide people's agendas. Look at who is sharing advertising space. Check out the groups that support different candidates. And vote like your life depends on it, because it does for many of us.
"Don't vote to teach the Democrats a lesson!" Great thanks my Jewish disabled queer ass will just die then
We can’t say this too many times, “But if someone hates you, they will come up with the reason after the fact.”
X-Men: Years of Future Past
“Human hate can adapt to anything.”
Election day in the US is less than 2 months away. If you are legally allowed to vote, start planning! Make sure you are registered. Look into whether you qualify for an absentee ballot, so you have more time to research the candidates and issues. If you will need help turning in your ballot or getting to the polls, figure out what you need and who you can ask.
Even if you feel like none of the candidates are good, vote for the person who will do the least harm. (Hint: it’s not a Republican.)
The system is rigged. The advantages for the wealthy are immediate and endless.
I kindof want some of these as pins. Seriously, if the only part of “homosexual,” “bisexual,” “asexual,” “pansexual,’ etc. that you hear is “-sexual,” the problem is with you, not me.
this has probably been done already but oh well
because tumblr has been marking things as sensitive, feel free to use these or w/e
